KROQ's Megan Holiday catches up with Foster The People after their performance at the KROQ Summer Pool Party at Morongo Casino Spa & Resort on July 22nd.
I love this interview because everybody is speaking. 💜 FTP interviews are usually like: one member of the band says everything while the other ones are just quiet.
Man Isom has 5 versions of Sacred Hearts Club. I would love to hear them to see how the songs evolved. Also Isom confirmed the video game sound samples aha. Definitely hear them in Doing It For The Money (1:45 in DIFTM)
I like Lotus Eater the most to be played live. It's the most Rock with less EDM but maybe it is just my preference. Still, Sit Next To Me was so damn good live especially with Mark hitting those high note.
Cubbie wanted to do more film and video production work. That is his first love. He oversaw the recent video "Amen" by For King and Country. Great song. Great video work.
Yeah, this exact comment comes up a lot in ppls comments in many diff videos, and I gotta say, I think it's time to stop missing him, ya know? I mean, it's been a while now, Mark and the others have obviously come to terms with his leaving the group, as a band and as friends, THEY seem to be doing just fine now, maybe it's time the rest of the world quits dwelling on the split and pays attention instead to how seriously good these guys sound WITHOUT Cubbie Fink, I mean, it's just a thought. They sound absolutely awesome, this is such an amazing band, we're all lucky to be able to witnessed them change over the years, both together and as individuals, as well as musically, there's so much talent and heart there, why keep whining about Cubbie going his own way? Mark is still an amazing, beautiful man with an amazing and super talented group of musicians alongside him making some seriously incredible music, WITHOUT Cubbie Fink. These are our boys, it's MARK, I mean, come on! They deserve our appreciation, loyalty, support, and our love as they grow and move in whatever direction it is that they find themselves moving in, and it's really time to let that stuff go. I mean, shit, his absence is apparently NOT hurting them anymore, not in the same way that it must've before, anyway, 'cause what they're giving us now feels stronger and truer than ever. 💙

Edward Hernandez ah man that sucks but I'm sure they would have played more if they could, maybe they were limited in time. Still i guess they should have mentioned it would be a short set. What songs did they play by the way?
+IJMiller Yea i get that, i mean it wasnt a full concert but my biggest peve had to be the drive there. Ill give them the benifit if the doubt that they were inly able to play 6 songs but i cant helped feeling bumed out. They played Coming of Age, Houdini, Three other songs i didnt know and they closed out with Dont stop. Great performance by the group. ima go see him at the Alt 98 Summer Camp. ^___^
Mark Foster is a wonderful lyricist. Some of the stuff he comes up with just sends cold chills up my spine.
lol mark looks like he's dressed to take a trip down to florida to play the slots.
She's so right about how they still sound like FTP despite playing different genres
