Thanks for sharing your opinion.. I have a Honda 21 that is pretty good.. I wish Honda would come out with a 30 or 32 walk behind.. Maybe they can figure out how to make a good, reliable 30 (or 32) deck walk behind mower..

Used to use an old Lesco 2-blade. Somewhere between 30-36" width. Fantastic machine. Bought out by John Deere in '08 so they have the design now...

Good for you that you've had a good mower. Wish I could say the same, because I think it's average at best. Price is too high for overall product. $1500 would be about right but its mostly American made, so we pay for that end.

it's not worth the money . I got 1 it can't cut anything that's wet if it's not 100% dry u can't mow with it . I've had 100 problems with it first year I bought it I would not buy this mower . it's not even close to what u think your getting for the money. my Honda push mower is 100x better then this 😮

Any issues with bogging down in thick grass?

It’s okay, the problem is when your cutting a lawn like Bermuda and you hit a bump it will scuff the lawn because The deck is fixed and but the mower is so heavy that my employees preferred using the 21 Honda over this because they were throwing the backs out,

Broke on me twice before it even made it to 20hours. Got it fixed and it’s running good. I’m currently at 70 hours.

They fixed the clutch issues with this model, correct?

Bought this mower for back up mower . This thing sucks. It costly gets stuck on flat surface ans it's heavy . Never had clutch issue. We prefer the fw15 .

I have a 2021 model and this is legitimately one of worst mowers I've owned. Never seen something like it. And my dealer has been great so it's not them. Worse yet, Scag has little customer service, interest, or presence on social media for seeking improvements and feedback. Their RUclips page alone shows that. This mower needs far too many improvements for it to cost $3000.

Yeah if you have it and are doing commercial work I would switch to get a walk behind 36 with a sulky from exmark or JD. I went and financed a JD walk behind W36R and have a 21 push mower and it is way more efficient. Tripled profits from mowing since time was reduced and I wouldn’t get tired as fast, could knock out 12-14 instead of 6-8 with the scag . Highly recommend JD walk behind, I’ll probably do a video review on it. Currently Zero issues with it and it’s at 150 engine hours of hard labor.

@@Thelandscapinglegend Great to hear you benefited that much! I wanted something built to last, American made ideally, and had service from a good dealer. I thought a 30" would be best for my late grandpa's property, to get it done quicker. It took about 1 1/2 hours before the Scag. Now it's still an hour, if I'm not fighting it or unplugging the discharge. But boy was I wrong on this model.. and yesterday the belt starting ripping, AFTER getting ahead of a known clutch problem and fixing it on recall last year. I am stunned at price tag and the "customer service" from Scag to this point. I do enjoy the SFC 21, to their credit (except charging me for a faulty fuel cap), but no way to the SFC 30. Even more-so if it's a 2022 or earlier model, prior to the clutch "overhaul" they did in 2023. If I was running a business I would take your advise. I'm now going to see if I can get a deal worked out for the lemon Scag produced. My dealer has done the best they can. See what the Scag Rep says now..

If it has a big Briggs engine it be a good one. Not a krowler

The Kohler isn’t bad it just needs way more horsepower. The body is too big for the engine so it puts strain on the clutch and your back 😅
