Please would you do the Denver Nuggets rebuild from post-Melo era to 2023 NBA Champions, where Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray delivered their team to the promise land that Melo didn't
Those Antawn and Caron Butler trades were crazzzzy. For two Allstars + Brendan Haywood, Deshawn, they got Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, Al Thornton and a bunch of guys that you never heard of plus a waived Big Z. I mean holy shit.
Robert horry again👍👍 or timeline of KG and how he won 1 chip with the Boston Celtics or the third part of Michael Jordans career ( I'll always support u jay❤❤❤) The best NBA informational list 👍👍👍
People don't realize how insanely bad that 2009 draft night trade was with the T-Wolves! Ernie Grunfeld took a Top 5 pick and traded it for Mike Miller and Randy Foye. Two picks later was Steph Curry and both Miller and Foye left in free agency after one 25-57 season with the team. Wizards could've just forfeited that pick and it wouldn't have been any different
Adding to what I said earlier, I understand that many of the franchise eras covered in videos of this nature failed to even break through to contender status. You could post the Durant-era Thunder and they'd still fit the category of "failed to win a title," but they were definitely a contender that got close multiple years. In fact, they would have my pick for this century's greatest team never to win a title. But they were in a better position than these Wizards ever were. My point being there should be a video about a team that represented the difference between failure to win a championship and failure to even contend for one, and those Thunder teams would be a good place to start.
Hi Jay, Here's One Question who is the better player? I wanna know your opinion. 4 Seasons 82 Games - 30.0 Pts, 7.0 Rbs, 4.0 AST, 1.0 Steals, 1.0 Blocks with 71% FG made, 38% 3PT FG, and 88% FT 6 Seasons 65 Games - 25.0 Pts, 7.0 Rbs, 8.0 AST, 2.1 Steals, 0.9 Blocks with 54% FG made, 47% 3PT FG, and 90% FT
I'd lean towards the second player. While the first player boasts slightly higher points per game and shooting percentages, the second player's well-rounded performance with higher assists and steals per game suggests a greater influence on the overall game. The ability to contribute to multiple facets of the game, along with remarkable three-point shooting and free throw accuracy, could potentially make the second player more versatile and impactful on the court.
They had a lot of chances to beat Cleveland in 2006, but blew it in every clutch moment. - In Game 3, Lebron traveled before he hit the game-winning layup, and then Arenas missed an open look at the game-winning three, losing by 1 point. - In Game 5, Lebron drove baseline and made the game-winning layup in OT to win by 1 point again. - In Game 6, Arenas missed two FTs, allowing Damon Jones to hit the game-winning jumper in OT and win by 1 point again. Caron Butler missed the game-tying three. The Wizards were actually the 1-seed at the 2007 All-Star break, but Jamison was injured in the last game before the All-Star break. Arenas and Butler got injured later on and they fell to 0.500 as Jamison was the only star left for the Playoffs. And in 2008 Arenas barely played due to injury. Again they lost on a game-winner to Cleveland in Game 4 thanks to Delonte West. Interestingly, Washington was 3-0 against the 2006 Pistons and 3-1 against the 2008 Celtics, who both had the best record in the league in those respective years. It’s no guarantee that would translate to success in a playoff matchup, but a fun stat nonetheless.
Something about this era of Wizards jerseys and colors shouldn’t work but they’re super unique and look really sharp. They should’ve never changed their unis.
They truly had a great trio, besides the injures, they couldn’t even get passed the cavs , they had to the team to make it I’m like dang I’m like Jamison, butler where that great but that’s the NBA for u
This my favorite era not gon lie but I never thought that wizards team would ever win anything the farthest I thought they could go during those years 2nd round exit
Be not fooled by the title. No era of Wizards basketball has even reached contender status for decades, although I imagine there have been times that they have gotten conceivably close.
@@jaywarvz Each of them alone couldn't be the best player on a contender I don't think, but together they definitely had the look of a contender on paper. If they only won more games though...
We didn’t win anything but making the playoffs 4 years in a row meant a lot when we have been a poverty franchise. Before Arenas & Butler got injured things were looking up in 2007.
They didn't ever get higher than a 5 seed and never made far in the playoffs. There's no point in asking the question why they never won an NBA title, they were never good enough, that's why
Much less than contend for an NBA title, they didn’t even make the ECF and only won one playoff series (2005) after which they got swept in the 2nd Round.

What's with this titlegore? I was a season ticket holder through the Arenas years. No one in the NBA or in DC believed they were a real contender. "Failed" seems like some clickbait nonsense, which explains why I'm here commenting.
Chill man. It's not a clickbait. I will explain why i put them as contenders. Since they had 3 all-stars and a team core, how come you will not consider them as contenders? Yeah, indeed they failed. That's the point of this timeline: to show that they failed, given that they had the potential and pieces to really contend.
"Failed to win an NBA title"...is this a joke? First of all there was no D, like there is no D either in Washington Wizards nor in Gilbert Arenas. Second of all, Arenas was a completely overvalued player (specially overvalued by himself), could score but not a good playmaker, very often injured and he never was smart, as everything that happened later proved and still isn't, considering some stupid comments on his podcast. Third, the Wizards had too many holes in the roster to even being considered competitors among other Eastern conference teams. Jamison was a scorer but no defense, no rebounding and no passing habilities. The Wizards were a complete cast of misfits at the end with the likes of Butler, Young, McGee, Stevenson, Crittenton or Blatche....yikes, not much IQ on the court!
That knee injury messed up arenas , If this injury didn't happen we may see arenas seeing him face against the 3pt revolution. They also been Lebron's Playoff Rivals , Shout-out to Deshawn 😅
