Excellent set of videos. Just removed the knee pads without breaking the plastic prongs. Boy, were they on tight. Your video allowed me to understand the fixings and method of removal. Cheers
The format you use of; tools, the part (to physically see how it connects) hints and tips is top notch. A lot of pieces require one half to slide in a direction and another half to pop straight out. You don't see this until it is off. Which is what makes your format so good. BZ! I find buying clips etc before I start helpful! Been adding sound proofing here and there. (Long trips to the continents as I use it more as a pocket GT)
Sure the connectors are horizontal but they are still in a hole. If slid sideways, you will just hit the wall of the hole and it wouldn't move or snap off.
A good video but the actual way to remove these is lifting out and up from the bottom. The screen shot you did part way through with the 2 hand icons are almost directly over 2 indents of leather. These 2 indents of leather is is where you should slide a tool in, like a butter knife, to then prise out. The knife goes straight in the full depth and then lever it out.
Ah, I guess I was kinda close. Thanks for the clarification. I'll leave comment with your suggestion. If I have time, I will give it a try and maybe remake the video. Thanks!
@@DrewZ4 It's mad how many clips they put on that knee pad to make it stay in. BMW really didn't want it to come out. The rest of your video's have been very useful to me so thanks for making them.
