    Spam is great. Put a couple slices on bread, tomato and cheese on another and toast it open face in the oven until the cheese is melted and the meat is warm.

    LOL, a lot of people here in the US don't like spam but some of my family and two of my friends actually like it. They would cook it slightly on the stove in a pan of butter and serve it with an orange cheese slice and a slice of pineapple. And I love twinkies. They sell them fried here at our local food market. They eat them with Ice cream. btw, I loved this video. I don't like the chocolate cupcakes tho. I had to eat them when I was a kid in school for breakfast. Good vide :) Very honest and funny.

      Thanks so much for the lovely comment. Since putting this video up we've found a lot more people who enjoy SPAM than we thought. Not for us though haha. A fried twinkie with ice-cream sounds delicious!

    Spam is spiced pork shoulder and ham. You fry it thin until it glazes.

    Treat Spam like vegemite, thin otherwise it is too salty and intense. The fried crispy bits are what it supposed to taste like when sliced thin and fried. It will balance out with everything, eggs, that barbecue sauce. Try slicing it a millimeter thin or as close to that as you can get it, those chunks you did were too thick. Hope you try it again.

    • @dontforget2move
      @dontforget2move  3 года назад

      That's actually a pretty good comparison to Vegemite. Cheers.

And, not only did I enter a spam carving contest (my entry was two large feet entitled, One small step for Spam, one giant leap for Spamkind, I wrote a romcom screenplay, SPAM: The movie, complete with high speed chases involving the Oscar Meyer Weiner Wagon and the Spamobile., a plot to take over America by spiking spam with a chemical which renders you unable to think for yourself, many funny scenes from the Spam Club of America contest, and a van ride across country to compete in the spam carving contest in Seattle where Sam, Spam Club of America president unwittingly uncovers the plot to take over America and becomes a hero, and of course, gets the girl! I am a 63 year old American man, born and raised in Peoria Illinois, about 2.5 hours from Chicago. And the only thing you sampled that I ever eat is the pop tarts and the chocolate cup cakes, and I have not even had either one of them in months.
    Never had lunchables as a kid, my parents were upper middle class and they had a little money so we always had fresh deli meat from the deli counter to make sandwiches from.
    The frosted pop tarts are very good, but they do taste artificial.
    Spam is terrible, I tried it once about 50 years ago it it made me gag, it was so bad I never touched it again. I grew up with black forest ham and smoked turkey from the deli counter, so spam was gross to me.
    Spaghettio's is horrible, I cant believe people even give that to their kids.
    Cheese in the can is a no, it's not good, I have not had it in 50 years, and today it cost way too much, the price on it is insane, but I did eat it on ritz crackers as a kid.
    Snack pack pudding is a no for me, do not eat it, pudding is not my thing.
    The Hostess cup cakes are better, I like them and I used to eat them, but I rarely eat them now because I am trying to lose a little weight.
    Do not like twinkies now, have not had one in 40 years, but I did eat them as a kid.
    How do you not have a deep fryer, that is crazy, how do you cook chicken wings, or catfish fillets, or fries, I can not live without a deep fryer.
