I loved this record as a kid. Watching this now makes me so sad because life has changed, I have changed, and the world has changed so much. These were simpler days, yet the words about Our Father are still true! A young Amy Grant and a younger me were brought together by this music. ❤😢
I agree! Lost my son last April, we would listen to this together and loved the whole album! We all get put through daily situations that at times makes you question our faith. Be careful with that, you have alot to be grateful for. My son was 34 when fentenol took him, a new chapter began that fateful day. God bless you!

It just dawned on me a few minutes in, I am looking at a very young Michael W. Smith playing on the piano before he was big! I almost didn't recognize him with a beard. It was the way he plays the piano that triggered recognition. Praise God for where He has Michael and Amy to today!!! God is an awesome God!!!
I say this as an Amy fan, but her ministry did lose some strength with her divorce and remarriage. God is still using her but she succumbed to deception & temptation and is now living with the consequences.

What a blessing! Amy would be the first to speak of her imperfections but look what God accomplished through Amy. May God continue to Bless her. We are Loved by an Awesome God, Amy gave her best to communicate God's Love to her audiences. Thank you, Amy!!
This version of El Shaddai is what hooked me to Amy Grant and her music. The song is sung so passionately, it moved me so much I went out and bought all her records to date. I’ve never hear her sing the song again with such passion, which is a little unfortunate. And I can’t figure out why. But to hear a young woman about the same age as me sing a song so passionately about the Lord really gave me the confidence to be proud of my faith and speak freely about it. Thank you AG!
I was a young girl and a young Christian in 1985 when God led me to leave home which was very hard and go to a Christian seventh Day Adventist boarding school in Bismarck North Dakota. I learned many things there and they were some of the best years. And while I was there is when I first learned about Christian music other than the him as I sang at home in church. I lived in the dorm and there was a little church in the door when we had worship every night and you have to walk past the church to get to and fro to your classes and work and the cafeteria etc and many times as I was walking by I would hear a friend singing and playing Amy Grant on the piano and I had never heard of Amy Grant except for somebody saying they went to a concert when I was in my public high school back home for 2 years. I only heard her name once and I had no clue who she was. And I was amazed that there could be such beautiful modern Christian music and also that you could sing about other things in life not just Jesus even though that's the main focus. I was like wow they're singing about other things besides Jesus I thought Christian music was only about Jesus and of course it was good clean morals and all this only helped me grow in my walk with God along with the whole beautiful experiences of being at Dakota Adventist Academy for two years! From that point on I did everything I could to get Amy's music and I couldn't stop listening to it and it was such a big part of my Academy years in 85 to 87 and it continued to go with me. Amy could really move a crowd! She did all of that at 22 years old! The beauty in this is that I can come here anytime! Thank you Lord, and the Internet!! 😁💖🙏🏻
This concert reminds me of this wonderful Christian Conference I attended in 1983-1984 titled "KC83" sponsored by the Campus Crusade for Christ International. Christian students from all over the world attended! When we arrived in Kansas City, Missouri, I saw so many people from every race and Nationality! I thought I was in Heaven! 😊 I lived in DC at the time, and it was during the Winter break from college. All Marylanders, including from DC, rode the chartered bus from University of Maryland, College Park. Just about every student on that bus had Amy Grant's cassette tape they played in their walkman. 😁 Although I loved Sandy Patti, who was the guest Artist at the conference, I think Amy Grant would have been a more appropriate Artist! She was closer to our age. She was our peer! She was more relatable to us! I guess the Board that made decisions about the program was not ready for Amy's style yet. She was considered too radical for a lot of Christian organizations back then! 😁 Amy was a trailblazer! Now she is a legend! Thank you very much for posting this. I can watch an Amy Grant concert anytime I felt like it. I was watching this at 3:00 AM! 😁
Loving this. I watched the VHS back in the Easter of 1987 with a group of really good friends. We were able to rent it from our local Christian bookstore! I've been fortunate to see her in concert a couple of times down the years, but I remember watching this concert with much fondness
Amazing to see Michael W Smith, behind the keyboard before he went solo. Even back then he seems to be so much of a leader. What a wonderful pair they were, and I’m amazed that Amy wrote most of her songs on her albums, which doesn’t happen in Nashville much today.
Yeah, he was probably working on his first album around this time. I don’t think he toured until after his second album. He was always an amazing musician and songwriter and Amy Grant was where he got his start, for all intents and purposes.
Amy's Age to Age Album has always blessed my spiritual life...I remember playing her song on a cassette before bedtime...God bless you even today the songs resonates...
I saw her back in the 1990’ s when she came to the United Center with Michael W Smith. I have all of her CD’s and absolutely loved her music. This is such a heartwarming memory! Thank you!
Thank you, Bosco. This is amazing. I too went to this concert, back in college. Amy is right. It was an energy-filled room. I was really moved and had tons of fun. Yay!
Anyone know where this concert took place? I saw Amy with my friends back in 1983. It was this tour and the concert was held at the Denver First Church of the Nazarene. They had a great venue. It was a good concert. Michael W. Smith opened for her as well as playing in the band.
THIS GIRL IS ON 🔥! This video brings me so much joy! A few things: 1) "Arms of Love" was one of my favorites. It helped me through difficult times. I cry every time I hear it. Even after almost 40 years! 2) "Sing Your Praises to the Lord" My, my, my! I think of some wild rockers crashing a delicate piano/ballet recital to pump up the atmosphere. Picture "Prince", the guitarist from "Queen" and "Ozzie" busting through the door with their guitars during the introduction, then the "recital" turns into a "JAM"!!! JAMMIN' for JESUS Yall!!!!!! 🎼🎶🎵🎹🎻🎸😊👏🎤🎉🎶💃🏃 Amy directed that thing boy! She was pumped! See Michael W. Smith do a head roll near the end of the song! (Not that kind.) 😄 Watch Gary and the other guitarist (Sorry I did not know his name) jump off the platform on cue! 😳They really had a blast!!!🎆 They were so young and full of energy!! I wish I was there! 😊 (Amy had the cutest little Southern Country accent.)😁
i didnt know she was singing about having a bad day then she opened her Bible and Lord showed her in a while we will be with him amen still love this song
Thanks for the upload, i remember having this on VHS but this digital version is much better quality . That tape has long gone. At least now it will here long after we have all dissappeared.
The song at 1:01:50 of this video is such an amazing and beautiful song. "It's safe inside your Arms of Love" is such a powerful and amazing ballad by Amy Grant. Love this song!!!!
I don’t even know what to say except thank you so much and I love you. If you only knew how many times I sang with you in tears, in smiles… I cry when I hear El Shaddei. Faith. So grateful for it. Thank you that you cried for us Jesus. You wept. Makes me sad.
I remember seeing this on tv (channel 9 here in the philippines) once when i was a kid in the late 80's (i'm 39 now) and i NEVER forgot about it! This is the 2nd time i saw this concert in full. Thanks so much for uploading this! Im back to my childhood again.❤️
Wow! What a treasure. I'll never forget being on a road trip with my high school choir and one of the other students was passing around a Walkman so everyone could hear an amazing new song. When it was my turn I put on the headphones and sat there in complete awe as I listened to El Shaddai for the first time. It was the most beautiful song I'd ever heard....the words, the music, her angelic voice...everything. I wanted to rewind the cassette so I could listen over and over but I reluctantly returned the Walkman because there were other kids waiting. As soon as we got home I bought the "Age to Age" album. Over the years I've come to appreciate her even more. I love the way that she's so unpretentious. She never pretends to be perfect....just a woman who loves her Savior, striving to do her best and in need of God's grace and mercy just like the rest of us. I'm so grateful for the influence that her beautiful music has had in my life. And thanks to whoever posted this. It made an amazing soundtrack for my morning workout!

Oh my word...... My mother had this tour on VHS many many years ago. I thought I'd look it up here and wow.... it was on laser disc, too eh? You know what's crazy is that I had never even heard of laser disc until the late 1990's. It seems only people with lots of money owned those things, and here I thought our first VCR cost a fortune, and it was a floor model for a little over four hundred dollars..... back in the 1980's. Four hundred dollars back then was your rent AND your utility bills for the month. To us that was priceless then as home entertainment was very very pricy back then. I knew of homes back then that didn't even have television sets, let alone VCR's and Video Cassettes. Yikes! I remember going to The Disney Store and their VHS movies were anywhere from sixty to seventy dollars back then.... back when Disney was Disney and not the Woke sexualization of children we see nowadays with "Disney". But I remember this video fondly. My mother was a huge Amy Grant fan back then. My gosh we were so young then. So was Amy Grant, though. It really does show how short life really is when you think about it in this world. Thank God for eternity!
Back in the day I attended the Age to Age concert in Australia - it was phenomenal. Gary Chapman made the same ceiling fans joke so i gather it's part of the act. Michael W. Smith also did his own set in the middle of the concert.

@@hollinsd Praise the Lord! I am watching this in June 2022 at 4:00 AM! This has me so pumped, I feel like running around the block 10 times!! There is so much joy and energy in that room! Amy could really move a crowd! She did all of that at 22 years old! The beauty in this is that I can come here anytime! Thank you Lord, and the Internet!! 😁💖🙏🏻
Loved Michael W Smith Too his music was into the future if u listen to his album The Big Picture.
I lived in DC at the time, and it was during the Winter break from college.
Amy was a trailblazer! Now she is a legend!
Thank you very much for posting this. I can watch an Amy Grant concert anytime I felt like it. I was watching this at 3:00 AM! 😁
What an awesome concert!
I was a teen and saw this live. Love Amy Grant!
Hello how are you doing, my name is Josh Mark i bring you good news
Hello ma'am I really appreciate your love and support over my mom's career 🙏💕
Loving this. I watched the VHS back in the Easter of 1987 with a group of really good friends. We were able to rent it from our local Christian bookstore! I've been fortunate to see her in concert a couple of times down the years, but I remember watching this concert with much fondness
WOW, I remember those songs, like if happen today!! thanks God for these beautiful music!!!
Hello sir I really appreciate your love and support over my mom's career 💕🙏
Amazing to see Michael W Smith, behind the keyboard before he went solo. Even back then he seems to be so much of a leader. What a wonderful pair they were, and I’m amazed that Amy wrote most of her songs on her albums, which doesn’t happen in Nashville much today.
Pppp
Yeah, he was probably working on his first album around this time. I don’t think he toured until after his second album. He was always an amazing musician and songwriter and Amy Grant was where he got his start, for all intents and purposes.
Dude on the piano was killing it!
That's Michael W Smith. He has a Christian Music career in his own right, but him and Amy have remained friends since the 80s
Michael W Smith uma preciosidade
All through the years,,what a beautiful testi.ony to ou r Lord .Sing unto the Lord, give him all the glory and praise,!! Valerie C.
Thumbs up to Amy and also to Gary Chapman and Michael W. Smith on the piano and everyone in the band.
Sick bass playing. I believe it was Duncan Miller
I prayed for gary ...
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing this video! And thank you God for giving us Amy Grant!
Amy's Age to Age Album has always blessed my spiritual life...I remember playing her song on a cassette before bedtime...God bless you even today the songs resonates...
Awwww, 😍😍such songs brings back sweet childhood memories. This is meant to marked something in someone's heart..

Hello ma'am I really appreciate your love and support over my mom's career 🙏💕
I saw her back in the 1990’
s when she came to the United Center with Michael W Smith. I have all of her CD’s and absolutely loved her music. This is such a heartwarming memory! Thank you!
Please help put 😅
😅🎉🎉ohelp out and keep your backside turned
I saw her in concert 3 times in my youth. She is amazing! I don't think she relies so heavily on autotune b/c her style is so natural.
AWESOME!!! God Bless Age to Age. May your message keep touching more and more people. May they may see God and become believers stay strong.
She should have been a model too. Stunning.
Thank you, Bosco. This is amazing. I too went to this concert, back in college. Amy is right. It was an energy-filled room. I was really moved and had tons of fun. Yay!
On of my Favorite Songs .In a Little While. Reminds me why I am here and that in a while I will see the Father
Can't thank you enough for posting this. Keith Edwards, awesome drumming!!!!
Brings back a lot of great memories!! I was at this concert.
You went to this actual concert? Where was it recorded?
@Suzie Fritz that is really cool you were there! What year is this being recorded?
Anyone know where this concert took place? I saw Amy with my friends back in 1983. It was this tour and the concert was held at the Denver First Church of the Nazarene. They had a great venue. It was a good concert. Michael W. Smith opened for her as well as playing in the band.
THANK YOU! ❤❤❤ Amy is a legend.
THIS GIRL IS ON 🔥!
This video brings me so much joy!
A few things:
1) "Arms of Love" was one of my favorites. It helped me through difficult times. I cry every time I hear it. Even after almost 40 years!
2) "Sing Your Praises to the Lord"
My, my, my!
🎼🎶🎵🎹🎻🎸😊👏🎤🎉🎶💃🏃
Amy directed that thing boy! 😊
(Amy had the cutest little Southern Country accent.)😁
i didnt know she was singing about having a bad day then she opened her Bible and Lord showed her in a while we will be with him amen still love this song
Thanks for the upload, i remember having this on VHS but this digital version is much better quality . That tape has long gone. At least now it will here long after we have all dissappeared.
I watched evey moment..what a blessing!!!
This video was my childhood! Inspired me to sing and get on a stage!
Rich Mullins adaptation of this Bach fugue was epic. Amy's Age to Age started my interest in music. MWS is my favorite musician of all time.
The song at 1:01:50 of this video is such an amazing and beautiful song. "It's safe inside your Arms of Love" is such a powerful and amazing ballad by Amy Grant. Love this song!!!!
Hello sir I really appreciate your love and support over my mom's career 💕🙏
Flat out freaking out iI NEEDED YOU! YOU WERE SENT! YOU KNOW ALREADY 🤣🤣❤️❤️😘😘💕💕🎉🤣
Wow! Amy has certainly aged beautifully and still rocking! She's the most coolest chick! Love you, Amy! Keep rocking for the Lord, sis!
Thanks to my first love who gave her album to me ❤
I love her! Thank you so much for sharing!!! God bless you!
Thank you so so so so much with the quality so wonderful !!! I am weeping with utter joy !!! Praise the lord !!!
Just like a time machine. I just wish we had the home speakers and concert light shows then!
Grate meaning full songs loveing it
Brings back memories...thanks!
l miss the rockin Amy. That growl! Makes me happy.
Lynn Mohror do u Daddy? 🤣💕😘

Love this song. All that matters is truly being home with the Father Son & Holy Spirit. Long for the day. When I was just a young boy I wanted to see God and experience more of HIM. Jeffrey
Hello sir I really appreciate your love and support over my mom's career 💕🙏
Many thanks for putting in the effort to convert this laserdisc. It's an outstanding concert!
Alguém curtindo em 2019?
Relembrando a idade de juventude é maravilho, saber que até aqui nos sustentou o SENHOR é maravilhoso e gratificante.
I am enjoying this in 2022 in Baltimore, MD!
"Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!"

apaixonada pelos clássicos de Amy Grant ☝👌💗
Excellent quality!
in 2023 this means even more to me. How majestic is you name Lord.
I have this on VHS. Love it!
There's Micheal W. Smith 😊
SENSACIONAL! AMY CANTANDO MUITO, BACK PERFEITO! MUSICALIDADE SEM IGUAL!
Loved Amy when my kids were young teens. Back in the days when stars used to SING (not mime) in concert. ♥
Back in the day I attended the Age to Age concert in Australia - it was phenomenal. Gary Chapman made the same ceiling fans joke so i gather it's part of the act. Michael W. Smith also did his own set in the middle of the concert.
Thanks for posting this laser disc format. The VHS format has audio that is behind the video.
That bassist was 2000% SOLID!
Came here to remember where my personal faith journey with Jesus began with Amy’s music in the early 80’s. I can definitely understand why Rambling Ray would say (not the exact words) listening to Amy Grant is Church.
Sing it my sister an teach the whold i am loving your music ha shalem grate
So talented and pretty.
Ahhh, the Age to Age Tour😍 Wow! How the years fly🤯 First time I met Amy❤️
Hello ma'am I really appreciate your love and support over my mom's career 🙏💕..
@@corrinagrantgill3236 It's been my pleasure ❤️
@@victoryhillstudioanimalpor2625 Yes I am so proud of my dad and I really appreciate my dads music, how long have you been listening to my dads music and what makes you like his songs ?
@@corrinagrantgill3236 I've listened to your dad since the 90's, I think.
I like the way he writes, plays guitar, mandolin, etc. I like the way he can finesse a note when he sings, and he has a great sense of humor 😂❤️
@@victoryhillstudioanimalpor2625
Oh that’s good , I am happy you love his music , so have you ever been to his music concert/shows before ?
Thank you very much...!!! An excelent job..!!! That's great.
