It's April 2024. We are having exactly the same problem in rural Brazil. Our Starlink worked like a charm for 9 months, super reliable, through tropical storms, power outages, and lightning. One day with perfect blue skies, it dropped the connection to the satellite and it would not connect again for dear life. We tried every step you described. We opened a ticket the same way you did. 30 minutes later the antenna connected. The next day it dropped again. Went over all the reset stuff and nothing. I unplugged the router and let it cool down for a couple of hours. It connected after that. The support system seems to be working better now, they answered us within 6-8 hours. But I feel that Starlink is not as reliable as I first thought and I'm always on the edge that it will drop and be gone. I'm hoping the Chinese will come with their commercial satellite internet soon, and i will give it try.
I'm astonished you got yours to work at all. Mine never went beyond "Offline Searching". Was starting to find myself curious if the whole thing was a con or something.
@@keonhobgood1551I eventually got it to work. It was originally located in a spot where it couldn't see any satellites. You may have to move it to various exterior parts of your house for 15 minutes at a time to see if anywhere gets a signal. The roof is also helpful.
I have been thrilled with my starlink for RVs. Best internet service of all the options I've tried. The ability to stream unlimited content is a real game changer for me. I also game on line and the low latency is awesome.
Starlink worked amazingly!! … for one year. I’ve been in the loop with the AI tech support for five days, installed the new cable, rebooted the router a few times… tech support closed my problem without solving it. I gave up and just signed back up with ATT broadband. 5 mbps is better than 0 mbps.
I would not switch to something 'new' until it had years of success first, especially when it comes to internet providers, cell phone plans, etc. I wish you the best. There are other people I know who have very crappy service while travelling and using Starlink.
Going through the same pain… except starlink aren’t even responding to the tickets. Had no service for 5 days now and no response at all! When it works it’s great, when it doesn’t, you’re on your own. At this time I wouldn’t recommend starlink to anyone purely because of its unreliability.
You’re getting great tech support service from them. I have been using it for a year in multiple locations and have none of the problems you described. I will very surprised if the new equipment doesn’t solve your problem. One slightly bent connection pin on the dish could be the reason for your disconnects.
What's your secret? I've been reaching out for the past 6 days and heard nothing. So I opened a separate service ticket and received a response saying I have two service tickets and they're going to close one. Nothing addressing my concerns.
@@Aaron-wc5jh include as much detail as possible in your ticket. Also, outline each troubleshooting step you’ve taken after you do your research. If you present the problem clearly and describe your troubleshooting steps, you will likely get a response that says they’re sending you out new equipment. If I have a secret, that’s it.
@@Dottietravels I'm not sure what your life experience has been, but he waited 6+ hrs (I'm currently at 9hrs - giving them every single detail and many detailed photographs) to hear back and for many, many on forums, well over 24hrs. That my friend, is not, by any metric, great customer service. Any other internet provider - and I mean ANY other, you can reach someone and have a diagnosis within the hour. Comcast, ATT, local WAN providers, Verizon, T-Mobile, Hughesnet, +. I know as I've had them all. When it is my internet lifeline for work, I paid $599 for the equipment and now $120/mo, 6 hrs is wholly unacceptable. As for sending replacement equipment - yes, they should. We all paid full price and we deserve for the product to function. So, no, not great customer service. Terrible customer service design (no phone, hidden contact form), terrible customer service response times, and terrible equipment replacement times (week+?!). If my company provided that level of service, we'd be out of business and rightfully so.
Yup had the exact same problem but the most frustrating part was dealing with tech support. After several messages back and forth and even one tech closing my ticket without any help whatsoever, they finally sent me a whole new kit and so far, four months now, things have been working better. Although it still reboots itself every now and then usually in the middle of the night. So it hasn’t been an inconvenience
Mine doesn't work well. The customer service succcccks! I'm about to buy a other kit for another 650+150 a month. Listening to your video I'm blown away. They told me to go kick rocks. They didn't want to help me at all.
Sorry that you are experiencing these "headaches", hope you get this sorted before they turn into "migraines"! We had noticed that you had T-mobiles home internet, and pulled the trigger on getting that service. So far it has been what we needed in our travels where there is no cell signal....we shall see if it keeps up as we move across the USA. I hope that this doesn't turn into a "Skinwalker Ranch type anomaly" for y'all. Great explaination of your situation by the way!
My first Starlink was DOA. It powered on very briefly, though the dish never moved. I created a ticket, and returned the faulty dish to Starlink. I got a new one promptly, and reinstalled it. It worked well initially, but speeds have been gradually declining, I believe this may be a congestion issue. It’s possible the Dish or it’s components can have a problem with high temperatures. I heard that the limit is 122 degrees F. I live in SoCal, and roofing and metal surfaces definitely can get that hot at times. Electronics can be sensitive to heat. Another concern would be lightning or static discharges, which can also fry electronics.
At least you're getting a response from Starlink. I'm having the same issue as you. Starlink closed my ticket as no trouble found. Opened a new ticket, and it's crickets from Starlink. I'm not in the desert. I am in the Pacific Northwest. Neighbors have great service, and I have none after only 3 months.
Steve - thanks for sharing your issue with Starlink. We haven’t purchased it yet since the upfront costs are pretty high. I wanted to see how everyone liked it and what problems are coming up. Frankly I thought it would be capacity issues. I also read that they do not have a number for Customer Service. Anxious to see if you are able to resolve your issue. Best of luck!! 😊❤️
Hi, I experienced a very similar problem. In April 2023 my service went out. It had been glitchy for a few weeks before it totally went out. I messaged a trouble call to StarLink and it took them over a week to respond. Once they did respond, their solution was to send me out a new router and cable. This whole process took a couple of weeks. This actually worked for a few months until mid July 2023. I shot out another trouble call and to my surprise they responded in less than 6 hours. The solution this time was to send me another dish, along with a router and cable. this package arrived 3 days later (very fast this time). I am back up and running as of a couple of days ago. Hopefully this will last. Also Starlink did credit me for $120, twice, for both interruptions, and no charge for any replaced equipment. And I have had to install this 3 times now, with only the POE (ethernet) cord being big pain to remove/replace. I totally understand the frustration. I also work over the internet tutoring math. I was wise enough to have kept my old DSL service as a back-up. So even though it is very slow (1.5 Mbs), I was still able to handle things at a minimum. Two things that help my thought process, we live in remote areas and StarLink has given us what we wouldn't have otherwise, and, StarLink is relatively new and we will be the guinea pigs until the bugs are worked out. So for all my frustration, I am still thankful for StarLink.
I just came from a similar issue except mine didn’t even recognized the dish anymore, I think it was defective from the start back when I bout it a year ago because the first time I couldn’t get it to work for hours. But it has been working for over a year until now. I can’t be happier with their support. Using a chat instead waiting on the phone works for me better. They read my problem and send me a solution almost instantly. Whether a replacement cable the first time which didn’t resolve anything, or a full set kit (with a month of refund) with no additional questions asked. If I compare this to the other fiber or aux cable internet services near my area, I would have spent hours on the phone, ridiculous identity validation multiple times on the phone and probably two weeks for them to physically resolve the issues near my house.
Hi Steve, really appreciate your video and info. I am glad to have found this as I received my Starlink Package on the 23rd December and am experiencing the exact same issues with it and to date have not been able to get Internet Service. Thankfully Starlink have arranged a replacement router and cable which I am expecting to receive in 2.5 weeks.
Not unreliable for me, I’ve been using it for several months working remotely w/VOIP and VPN system - and I’ve only experienced less than a handful of data drops offs - about as many as I did w/Xfinity. Very happy so far. Is it perfect, not yet. Is it the fastest, not yet. Is it reliable, I think so. My first system received, the rectangular dish would not move, I reached out to Starlink tech support via the app, and they responded in less than 24hrs to have me do some troubleshooting. That didn’t work out, so they sent me a new system in a reasonable amount of time. So far. So good.
Same exact problem here with Starlink RV. Worked great for the first month, then I started getting connection drops, which became more and more frequent until I ended up with the "Starling disconnected, your starlink appears to be unplugged or rebooting" message. I've tried all the same steps as you, with no changes. Submitted a ticket to Starlink 7 days ago and no reply. From what I'm seeing on Reddit, there are people who have had this problem stretched out for months (4+). Very disappointing. If their first solution doesn't do the trick, that's the end of Starlink for me; I'm not dishing out my hard earned money to a company that conducts itself like this.
We’ve had Starlink for over a year and it has been fantastic. Our last provider got to the point of being like dial up of the old days. Except when there is a storm it has been problem free.
Thanks for sharing your experience with starklink , I recently bought the starkling kit so I want to try this services I live way to far to the city one main reason that we decide to get this service it’s because we heard really good comments all over the work specially here in my country mexico 🇲🇽 Hopefully my starlink internet service work like a charm down here in Veracruz Mexico 😊
We had a similar issue when we first got ours a couple years ago. Only difference is ours didn’t connect to the internet at all. After going through the pain of troubleshooting and working with tech support they they sent us an entirely new kit. That fixed the issue and it has been incredibly fast and reliable ever since. It’s frustrating, but like you there are currently no other good options here.
I have had a very similar problem. I have just gotten a "new", refurbished desktop computer that came with a Wi-Fi dongle. I plugged it in on the side of the PC nearest the router, figuring it would get the best signal there. Worked at first, then I kept getting a "no internet" Notification on my computer. I plugged the dongle into the opposite side of the PC, and haven't had any problems yet. I have only had the Starlink for a few days, and am hoping I don't experience the same probems, (or worse), as you have had.
Hello, we are having issues with our Starlink and currently starting the process of dealing with tech support. I would like to know if the new hardware fixed your issues?
In your installation how do you secure the cable to the dish ? do not use staples or is there any tight bends in the cable. you may damage the copper wire in the cable so you maybe having some cross talk issues. or avoid areas were the electrical circuits may run. electricity can be induce in those cables. probably damaged the equipment.
Going through the same exact thing right now. Worked great for two months then yesterday it shut off and won't connect to internet. Done everything you mentioned . Connecting them still haven't hears back.
Hi Steve Many thanks for your video regarding your starlink issues. I’m thinking of getting the star link service and I am curious as to how things panned out in your frustrating situation. I would be very grateful if you could let me know how you went please ? Best wishes Peter (Australia)
I got starlink around 3 weeks ago on a remote island in the Philippines. We do get interruptions every few minutes, which the acknowledge. They call them obstructions. My main complaint us the video I get using messenger isn't very good. It breaks up a lot. I'm not where the starlink is, my family is, but they aren't very computer literate. Hope your problems have gotten better since you uploaded this video.
Steve I fully agree with you. I had exactly the same bad experience. The only difference is that I live in Chile therefore the new router took more than a month to arrive. On top of that I had not received any reinbursement. I am looking for another internet provider.
I live in alaska. Just got starlink week ago. LOVE IT. Up to 315 down 30 up. After hearing your dilemma have you thought about setting up starlink AWAY from the house for a period to see if that helps. If you have 2 different kits that seems like there is interference coming from something else. If your in desert away from trees, maybe are you above microwave etc? Seems like something else is causing problem. I would try different parts of the roof, off house. Anyway sorry to hear the problems. So far it’s total game changer for us in southeast alaska. BTW I got an email from Starlink saying our satellites are the new laser ones. Good luck, hang in there
We were an earlier adopter of Starlink and have not had any issues at home. We had a hardware failure on our roam package Gen 2. Contacted Starlink and they sent me a Gen 3 for free No issues other than that.
We got ours shortly after you got yours. We are roughly 30 mins from Sierra vista so we have a internet provider already but wanted to test out starlink before we ditched our other provider. So far, I don’t think we will be ditching out current provider because like you said starlink drops and reconnects. We haven’t had any major issues but $135 a month isn’t cheap plus having our current provider. We do however take starlink with us when we go camping or travel in our 5th wheel so that’s been super nice. Like right now my family and I are using it in Prescott and haven’t had one issue.
Ok, finally found someone with the same problem as I have. BUT, they sent me a replacement router because at first the original was not working, when the replacement arrived I plugged in everything and entered the same user name and password. But nothing happened, the router was on but it now said disconnected and offline. I rebooted and still nothing, I changed the cable to the new one I happened to have, still nothing. So back to trying to contact them, this time they wanted to see a picture of my cable to ensure that it's not damaged. To be honest I think it's the dish, but I'm not the expert. All this is within the last week, so I'll be waiting for your next video....anxiously...good luck
I have 2 starlinks. One just started doing this today. When I swap the routers it worked fine. Back to original it won't do anything. So I was thinking must be the router.
That really sounds like your dish at this point. The modem is within the dish, not within the router. Up to you, but when you get the new kit, you could attempt to ONLY replace the dish. Since the original router and cable have been eliminated as possible failure points, that really only leaves the dish, or service to the satellite. Of course, if you just are mentally done and just need the service working, replacing everything is likely the fastest path to restoration of service. Random note - you're not near a radio silent zone by chance? For example, I own property in VA that is near the Green Bank radio silent zone. When I had Hughesnet my service there was always week and unreliable. (Haven't been able to test my Starlink there yet). I've also talked with colleagues who are in neighborhoods where they've had neighbors even create "jamming zones" - I doubt that is what you're dealing with, but there could be interference within the band that Starlink is using - which doesn't necessarily even have to be within your line of site - as its possible to jam over the horizon. But all that is VERY unlikely. If you get the same issue after replacing everything, then I would start to expect you have interference and you need to start tracking the time of day when service is interrupted - and then cross that against tracking the satellite orbits at that time. There are a couple of sites out there for this. However, honestly I suspect that the modem within the dish is your problem.
Had this problem as well. Starlink ended up sending me an entire setup too. Do you live in location where it gets cold? There is an issue (discussion on a forum) where the snow melt feature is causing problems with the cable. Essentially, the wire gauge is too small to carry the amperage and heats up the connection. Eventually the cable goes bad. So when I discovered this, I turned snow melt off (by default it is set to automatic). I have not had a problem since changing this.
I have had the same issue of going offline, but not as frequent as of yet. It also seems like my service is being throttled as if I'm using a phone hotspot instead of Starlink and my connection drops frequently. I have not been impressed with Starlink at all. I reside just outside of Sacramento with a wide open sky. Seems like a perfect location.
Got the same problem after a week of use of Starlink, had to do factory reset and set up a new Wifi network, so far so good. Looks like this helped. Also if you have your Starlink app on the phone or tablet remove all VPN software form this device, as this does not work well with Starlink. You can still have VPN on PC or laptop (connected to your wifi network), just the device for setting up starlink and checking the network status with the app, has to be clear from VPN software, this help me, hope this will help you. Thank you, for this video you have posted.
The same thing is happening to me but the app says that my dish is up and running and no obstructions(also not offline). Even though the apps and other speed test sites say that I’m getting good speeds, I can’t seem to do anything such as trying to watch RUclips or simply load up a page. I’ve tried every method like you to try to fix this issue but not one of them worked. A buddy of mine who lives 10 minutes away from me also has starlink, but he’s never had a single issue with his. To be fair, I have the circle dish and he has the square one. I already message costumer support 15 hours ago and still no response yet. I’m hoping both of ours and other starlink users situations get resolved.
I'm amazed that you were able to do the factory reset. My connection is so tight that I cannot possibly plug it in and unplug it fast enough to perform the reset. What a ridiculous method in the 1st place.
I got Starlink a week ago and it was working great until today. Now I have the exact same issue as you, app saying Offline - Starlink Disconnected. I've just contacted Starlink support and I'm waiting for a reply. Would love to hear an update on how things are going for you.
@@blessedtoquest Yes, got it working again last week. Starlink sent out a replacement kit and after changing to the new router and dish we discovered that it was the cable that was at fault.
That is horrible! Those are the problems we had with the other satellite services. I've had our starlink for about a year and it's been life-changing for us. We started with RV, but then Starliink later changed us to Residential, but since it's not available in my area yet, we had hiccups. They then added Roam onto my plan and it's flawless now. At $110/mo it sounds like you have Residential without Roaming. If the new system still acts up, ask them to add Roam to your plan to see if that helps.
@@brunoheggli2888 when satellite services are your only option, $110 for good internet is better than $185 for terrible service. I can bet your $33 is either cellular or cable. We don't have that luxury.
Hi Steve, I was wondering how’s it going with Starlink? Did you get your problem resolved? Knowing what you know, would you buy it again? Thanks! Janice
I have no alternative except poor phone service. Paid over $1000 now because of initial $ plus install because I'm disabled, so no, spent SS $ and have no internet
Thank you very much for a very excellent detailed honest and helpful video. I just received my Starlink kit, and already disappointed as it will not connect, but, what was weird is that the box, looked like it had been used before. It was not a brand new box, it was a box that was just taped with 2 pieces of tap together. I think @ElonMusk should be, as an engineer, and albeit a minimalist design wise, ashamed of the service levels. If it does not work, I am just going to send it back and get my 500 USD I paid for it. I am in a metropolitan area, so I have options. Good luck with yours!
Starlink change the 1st version antenna (the round one) because overheating problems and that's why they change it for the rectangular, but i think it has the same problem (HEAT) ! The problem is in the day or in the night ?
Starlink has been rock solid for me im getting fairly low ping in games and download speeds on average right at 140-200Mbps download and 10mpbs upload... I have only had it 1 month I hope it does not start becoming an issue like you are having.
@@brunoheggli2888 3 Months in dowload never under 200 upload never below 16 and in game ping never above 75 which i was getting around 75 ping with 1 gig cable... I am having the EXACT SAME problems as you've described here. BUT I cannot find your new video after you got the new kit to replace it from scratch. Did it work?
With everything you said, have troubleshooted temperature? The PRO model handles more resistance up to 95• and I’m sure the “Home” is lower than that. Try some method of cooling or providing a screen to protect from over heating?
What's the update? I have starlink and it fired up and has been working fine since. But, I hooked up my parents starlink, and it's doing exactly as you described in this video.
No Internet company can operate without a customer phone number and an email. It is just bad business. I will never recommend this company to anyone even people I don’t like.
I'm so happy to read the comments. Starlink is no longer an internet option for me and I will pass along information to anyone considering using their services.
Did the new starlink work? I'm in the exact position you've described in this video, literally to a T. I'm beyond frustrated at the unreliable nature of this device and it's intermittent operation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for this. I'm experiencing the same thing. Nice to know we're not alone but still desperate for a solution... Side note: What camera do you use? Looks nice and clear.
I saw your earlier Starlink installation and I had decided to go ahead purchase and subscribe, now I see this video and I called it off. Guess I will wait another year to see if they get the bugs out. Thank you for the update.
In under 1 year I have had to replace the dishy and router and this unit is now dead and I am unable to connect. I had to wait 5 business days on the first service request and over 5 days (still waiting) on my 2nd support ticket. I am also unable to find a way to post a review for Starlink which is also maddening. I believe for $135 dollars a month I should have functioning Internet 365 days a year. When you depend on a provider to do your job you quickly become frustrated with exceedingly slow support. I understand that times are tough but not supporting your customers is just wrong. I will say that when it does work it works really well...Thanks for reading my rant!
I’m having the same issue. My second unit they’ve sent me has stopped working. It’s been over a week. I still haven’t received a response from their support.
I went through this too. And come to find out the motor in the dish was worn/gear bad, whatever. They sent me a new everything. I installed it and it worked but not as good as expected. Come to find out my service was still connected to the old router and not the new one so they couldn't see me. I uninstalled the system on my cell phone and reinstalled using the new router number and that fixed it. The technology is new and gliches are appearing that tech support is not able to troubleshoot right away. Just because you have a clear view of the sky doesn't mean the dish can see the satellite if the motor is off kilter. It's not fool-proof. Things happen.
I’m having the same issue right now. Got Starlink only 4 days ago and it was working great until last night it disconnected. I unplugged and plugged it back in and it came on then 5 minutes later it went out and hasn’t come back on. Just says offline. I send a ticket to support and haven’t heard anything back, it’s been 24 hours.
This sounds like a horrible turn of events, i have been using Starlink since late last year when it became available in Australia and its been the best internet i have had access too living in Rural Australia, I have only had a few issues with connectivity, it has mostly been due to either really bad weather (thunder and lightning) or the satellites that orbit over have had issues with either Firmware or the actual orbital Satellite has had hardware issues
Hello, in your installation method, i saw that you hold the antenna cable to the roof and some with some kind of cable holder (tie down). Can you please try to install with the cable directly hanging around first to try if it works well. Because maybe your cable holding method is damaging the cable in the inside because extreme pinch or pressure of something like that. Hope it helps. Regards!
Wow…. That is really frustrating…. I am in rural eastern North Carolina. Several of us in our small community have it and for 4 months, it has worked fine. I don’t know what to say…
@@brunoheggli2888 No, I pay $120. It’s far more than what you pay in an urban area. In a city or urban area, it is between $50 and $85 depending on the plan you have.

@@brunoheggli2888 I just noticed that Switzerland has a universal service mandate which probably means that the government is subsidizing this. We have no such mandate in the U.S. Given the size of the country it would be impossible to do. Internet is provided by individual companies in designated areas. Consequently, it's not possible to average the costs outside of a geographic area. With the case of Starlink, Spacex is providing it worldwide. @A Dreamin' Life I have found a video that your problem is the connection of the cable to the dish. I have the Gen 1 dish and my cable to the dish is hardwired. My led light on the router is on the front of the modem instead of yours being on the bottom. Hopefully 9 months later, your internet price went down like mine did at $90/month. Mine does have the disconnected issue. It isn't as frequent as you. It usually fixes its self after a few minutes, but is still frustrating. I haven't done a factory reset of my router. I have a reset button that I hold. No need to power cycle to do a factory reset for me. I live in a very small town in Maine and when we have heavy snow, the melting feature of the dish cannot keep up with the snow. I was able to get Spectrum at my home and awaiting the installation. After that gets set up, I'll be stowing my dish indefinitely.
Hi Steve, I assume by now you have solved the problem or sent the whole kit and caboodle back to Starlink. (It has been a year) Anyway recently I have seen several sources that say to turn off the heater on your antenna. They are saying the cable overheats, especially in warm climates (like your desert location). Only turn it on if there is a problem with snow. I hope you solved this cause I just put my antenna in the top of a 100 ft. tall tree to get an unobstructed view. I had internet for about 4hours and then, like you, I lost internet. I filled out the ticket and I am waiting for a response from them.
If the new Starlink arrives and gets installed but does not perform as expected, I suggest installing it in the same vicinity as your neighbor. Why? Because Starlink internet satellites are in a geosynchronous orbit with the earth. Likely, you will get a better signal, just like your neighbor. Crazy as it may sound, you can prove to Starlink that their product does not cover the signal in your area. Also, please remember or make a note of what time of the day it works and when it fails.
We’ve had ours since October last year. It’s been amazing compared to our other options. I’m sorry you’re going through that, hopefully gotten better.
It's April 2024. We are having exactly the same problem in rural Brazil. Our Starlink worked like a charm for 9 months, super reliable, through tropical storms, power outages, and lightning. The support system seems to be working better now, they answered us within 6-8 hours.
But I feel that Starlink is not as reliable as I first thought and I'm always on the edge that it will drop and be gone.
I'm hoping the Chinese will come with their commercial satellite internet soon, and i will give it try.

So what is their contact number
Same here. Same problem, no reply whatever from Starlink to my ticket
The same thing happened to me, they sent me a new dish and cable and that fixed it and I haven't had any problems since.
Waiting on next video, what was the result?, did you got a solution?
So far. So good.
Cool. Starlink would go out of business quickly if it was as unreliable for everything as it is for me.
I’ve had the same problem starting last week. Can’t get any help from tech support.
We’ve had Starlink for over a year and it has been fantastic. Our last provider got to the point of being like dial up of the old days. Except when there is a storm it has been problem free.
9:00 I’m having the EXACT same issues with my Starlink. It’s completely frustrating. But, when it’s working…. I love it.
Isn’t it amazing that Starlink’s only solution is to replace the hardware? Since Summer 2022 I am on my third set of hardware.
Thanks for this. I’ve the exact same issue and did all the things you did except the final step which is getting a new dish. Did that work for you?
Same issue here. Waiting for the support to reply to my ticket. I will keep you posted.
Hi Steve
Many thanks for your video regarding your starlink issues. I’m thinking of getting the star link service and I am curious as to how things panned out in your frustrating situation.
I would be very grateful if you could let me know how you went please ?

I got starlink around 3 weeks ago on a remote island in the Philippines. We do get interruptions every few minutes, which the acknowledge. They call them obstructions. My main complaint us the video I get using messenger isn't very good. It breaks up a lot. I'm not where the starlink is, my family is, but they aren't very computer literate. Hope your problems have gotten better since you uploaded this video.
That is, FOR SURE, metal in your roof, my friend. Unbelievable the Starlink techs didn't tell you that since the very beggining.
So my metal roof is the problem? Please tell where you found this information?
The interference from the metal is pretty laggy. It usually takes a couple of months to show up.
Steve I fully agree with you. I had exactly the same bad experience. The only difference is that I live in Chile therefore the new router took more than a month to arrive. On top of that I had not received any reinbursement. I am looking for another internet provider.
We had Dish satellite internet, our Starlink is hundred times better. Literally. LOVE OUR STARLINK. 🦅😎🇺🇸
Good luck, hang in there
We just got it set it up but no internet at all. Also we are in Alaska ,Anchorage.
@@lasthope5683 do you have clear sky? Make sure your plug is in all the way to the modem. It’s tricky. Goes in long way
We were an earlier adopter of Starlink and have not had any issues at home.
135 a moth you are not residential and are deprioritized-- stop bitchinhg understand your contract
However, honestly I suspect that the modem within the dish is your problem.
did the new kit work? no new video for 6 months it looks like.
Great video info.. Thx Steve and good luck!! We have the same problem.
Did you ever upload a new video on the new kit? Did it solve your problems?
Having the exact same experience... got it this Friday to be exact... crashed like this on Sunday. Only took 3 days for it to affect it.
Hook it to a power strip and turn that off and on 6 times.
I got Starlink a week ago and it was working great until today. Now I have the exact same issue as you, app saying Offline - Starlink Disconnected. I've just contacted Starlink support and I'm waiting for a reply. Would love to hear an update on how things are going for you.
You ever get yours fixed?
@@blessedtoquest Yes, got it working again last week. Starlink sent out a replacement kit and after changing to the new router and dish we discovered that it was the cable that was at fault.

Thanks for the video. Just wondering if you got it to work. Hope you did I'm having the same problem. 🙂
You pay 110$ for internet?Thats crazy,i just pay around 33$
Stop gaming!
@@brunoheggli2888 3 Months in dowload never under 200 upload never below 16 and in game ping never above 75 which i was getting around 75 ping with 1 gig cable... Hey what part of Arizona are you in?
Did your read Space Weather? On Sep 16th it was reported that Starlink lost 40 of their Satellites from Thermosheric conditions.
Have you considered moving your Starlink receiver away from the metal roof? Worth a shot since you've tried everything else.
If this happens with the new dish we might do that.
did you fix it with teh new kit sounds like you dish was the problem after lissen all teh troubles
Yeah, give is a preview. Are you up and running?

Did the new kit fix your issue.
Same issues sadly - did the new replacement system work?
I am having the EXACT SAME problems as you've described here. BUT I cannot find your new video after you got the new kit to replace it from scratch. Did it work?
With everything you said, have troubleshooted temperature? The PRO model handles more resistance up to 95• and I’m sure the “Home” is lower than that. Try some method of cooling or providing a screen to protect from over heating?
What's the update?
I have starlink and it fired up and has been working fine since.
But, I hooked up my parents starlink, and it's doing exactly as you described in this video.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Hey going through the same thing waiting on new router and cable, was just wondering if your problem was resolved after replacing everything
Hi Steve , will you be making any more videos? Hope all is good with you and Courtney. Best wishes.
No Internet company can operate without a customer phone number and an email. It is just bad business. I will never recommend this company to anyone even people I don’t like.
My isp has whatsapp, email, and telephone lines but customer service just apologizes and emails you a ticket number that does nothing.
Great videos Steve - what happened with your 2nd 'dish' Steve?
Do you have an update on your Starlink experience? Any better since your last video?
it's been 4 months since he has uploaded anything ,that means he either 1)never got his internet back or 2) he has died . We can only speculate.
I am currently having the EXACT same issues and I'm also waiting for the replacement router/cable---
In under 1 year I have had to replace the dishy and router and this unit is now dead and I am unable to connect.
Did you get you new setup? Does it work correctly?
Regards!
Did the new kit fix your issues ?
Try installing the new kit without tacking the cable to house until you test it.
corrosion on the connection between the dish and 75foot cable?

Wow…. That is really frustrating…. I am in rural eastern North Carolina. Several of us in our small community have it and for 4 months, it has worked fine. I don’t know what to say…
So you all pay 110$ a month just for internet? Is that normal to pay that much in the US?
@@brunoheggli2888 No, I pay $120. It’s far more than what you pay in an urban area. In a city or urban area, it is between $50 and $85 depending on the plan you have.
@@esanford Still quite expensiv! There must be some kind of monopoly in the US!I get unlimited internet for 33$ a month in the most expensif country in Switzerland!
Nevertheless, deployment of satellites to handle the traffic is extremely more expensive than terrestrial service.

Your patience is admirable. My reaction would've been "different." Sounds like the dish is the problem.
Did the issue get resolved?
Dang, Steve, that's awful. Good luck at reaching a solution ASAP.
how is the new kit treating you?
If the new Starlink arrives and gets installed but does not perform as expected, I suggest installing it in the same vicinity as your neighbor. Why? Because Starlink internet satellites are in a geosynchronous orbit with the earth. Likely, you will get a better signal, just like your neighbor. Crazy as it may sound, you can prove to Starlink that their product does not cover the signal in your area. Also, please remember or make a note of what time of the day it works and when it fails.
Starlink satellites are not geosynchronous. If they were they would always be in the same place in the sky.
