A great Fred. One of the best. Always up high, by anyone's estimations. Literally on a pedestal. We all looked up to him. Eating a sandwich at 200ft with nowt but pieces of string holding up his gawd blimey trousers and his little ladders atop of a chimney. Or a cooling tower that he built up at the beginning of his career, and then before retiring he burnt out the bases, or supervised the blow down of some quality British bricks. I'm glad that he was able to show me the interesting old trades that made this country the workshop of the world, before they we're gone forever. All that we got at school was some grainy pictures in very old books! Also it was a true pleasure to witness he's absolute joy working on, driving, and simply being around steam engines.
Watch a load of shows on here but this one had the lot, love steam engines I do. Marky is a mind of useful information 😉 and seeing Lucy is a nice bonus 😍 thanks for the show 👍🙂
Back around 1960 in New Zealand my Dad bought a really beautiful Mk2 Consul identical to RJA 17,which had just been imported into NZ from the UK. a little nostalgic for that car which was registered in NZ as BR4 . Dad later traded it on a new MkIII Zephyr in 1965. BR4 was written off not long after it had been traded in.
Marcus, that ERF was registered in 1937 ERF CI5 CYC 387 J Wareing & Son Construction engineering company (Wrea Green) Ltd was Founded: 1909. Loving the cool content 😎 💯
Great video and great to see all the old classic vehicles, steam engines and all the other types of stationary engines and gadgets. Glad you all had a good day out.
i really enjoyed this vid,you guys should do more of these or equipment/tractor shows. nice job Marcus just amazes me on his anything with an engine knowledge.you the Man.
@24:30 when you were looking at the Cadillacs and mentioning the bumpers. Those bumpers had parts on them that were known as bumper bullets. The two pointy cone pieces. However, they went by many other names. The first being; Dagmar bumpers. Back in the day "Dagmar" was a very buxom icon. You'd have to have been blind not to see the similarities. Marketing at its finest!
Another great Vlog guys, i thought i recognised the old Lidgett Pub through the back window of the car when you picked Marcus up. I didn't realise he was an "Arroder" The car 0f the show for me was the Caddie, i would like to see you attempt the Arndale Car Park in Accy in that.
The look on Marcus face lol when you put your foot down. Don't get many shows up here in the Highlands of Scotland but I did go to the truck one good content keep it coming.👍👌
Well what a nice surprise for you, and us, really enjoyed the old motors, nice to see em stood instead of ripped apart haha, marky boy knowledge is prenominal, Lucy lovely as always, and you was ok too James, see ya back in the yard.
Brilliant video, Marky only made one mistake, the old lorry wasn't from 1919, the haulage company was founded then. I love to see classic vehicles of all types. I used to drive a 1949 AEC Regent Mk3 bus occasionally, but now have a small collection of classic Japanese bikes.
Corvette made 3 special edition cars they were gold and black for the astronauts that were the first to land on the moon ,they are now each worth more than $2 million.
Seeing the steam engines reminds me of the late Fred Dibnah, great man RIP Fred

That was James who said the lorry was from 1919 but Marky didn't correct him! Think it's about 1948. 👍
Green caddy for me 🔥👍👍
The Bobbin Mill is my local. Never heard of a car meet going on there though 🤔. Looks like you had a creamy day out anyway. Heeeeee!
I think the red Austin pickup was a "Austin A40 Devon". Made from 1948 to 1957.
Yeah, definitely a Devon, the badge reads Austin of England, Marky boy has great knowledge but he did make quite a few little mistakes.👍
Great video James really enjoyed it never seen one Italian car at that meet tho lol , thanks for the video mate
