Stormzy/Dave won’t reply because their shook and know it will be an L for their careers. Anyone who goes against chip is just walking into a loss, it’s that simple. These guys weren’t built on the era of battle rapping so they stand no chance against Chip. Because Chip is the last of that specific generation that’s still going hard, that’s why guys will avoid him.
There's no reason for them to be "shook." What are they suppose to be scared of? Comments on the internet hurting their feelings? Whether they reply or not, the more we talk about them, they more money they make. People will still listen to their music regardless. These artists are global. When I say clash, I'm talking about actually meeting up at a location. When was the last Lord of the Mics? What was the last high profile clash between artists? This literally CANNOT HAPPEN because a majority of the hottest artists right now have real life street beef. You literally CANNOT put those people in the same room. So no. You people need to start learning how to think critically and not with your feelings and nostalgia.

When I say it's not part of the culture, I don't mean the culture of Grime; I'm referring to music in general. Clashing is Grime culture and Grime isn't the premiere genre anymore. Clashing isn't what the every day consumer of music is looking for right now. Drill is the main genre at the moment and the people who "would" be in a position to clash/battle want to kill each other if they're in the same room, so that isn't going to happen. The demand for clashes remain within a very specific and smaller niche of consumers now and those aren't the people to satisfy in the bigger picture anymore. Hopefully that clears up what I'm saying.

Of course, but point is that the people who care are a fraction of the audience. The reality is that the % of people who REALLY care that much have a miniscule effect on his career over the people who just like the music OR don't even care about Grime specifically. If his whole catalog and audience were Grime, it would matter more. If all the Grime purists decided to boycott Stormzy, there is still an international audience that not only doesn't care about Grime, they probably don't even care about the politics. So sure, the people who care may determine what "title" he has, but they don't cut his check.
