For myself personally, the 2003 cartoon was what I was always most familiar with as well as the original toy line. So having 2 turtles that are lighter green and 2 that are darker green would be the perfect mix for me. I believe the original lineup had Donnie & Leo as the darker ones, and the 2003 cartoon had Mikey & Raph as the darker ones. So it's really up to your own preference. I just snagged the 90's movie 4-pack so i'm super excited for it to get here.
I have the original wave dark version set, and I think this set compliments it well because of the more lighthearted cartoony facial expressions and brighter colors.
Hey Kyle! Love them TMNT but I gotta tell ya, that intro with the Warrior message and action figure sequence, shaking the ropes moving the arms to the beat of the universal beat that only The Warrior knew well, is just, TOO SWEEEET!! 😊
I both love and hate the interchangeable faces. Because if you're someone who has a massive loose collection you need to buy four to use all the different looks. And two of the two packs to have 6 or 7 versions of the turtles. I thank God I'm not one of those ppl. I do understand the business side I'm not mad at Neca doing this. As far as my wallet is concerned I'll stick to one box apiece. I found mine in a weird place in the furniture section. Which means someone was hiding it.
Great video. I have been buying the cartoon collection but just ordered this to be able to finally display. Now i remember these but i think i pefer the darker turtles. The hunt continues. Thanks for this review.
I've seen a couple of sets in my store. I already got the Turtles In Disguise set and I'm happy enough with that. I do like the brighter green of these but its not worth the price point for me.
Great review. I gave up looking for this set then the other day I happened to be at a target in Lombard, il which was being remodeled. There in the neca section that was blocked with ladders and pallets I saw one set and grabbed that sucker before anybody noticed it behind all the junk. Now if I could just find that tokka and rahzar cartoon 2pack I'd be in heaven.
I like the color of these better than the darker ones, but at $150, this is an easy pass. To borrow your line, there is just not enough meat on the bones here. I will stick with the darker ones that I currently have. If they were about $100, I would give them some thought.
To me the darker colored figures look so much better and closer to the classic '87 series. If you already have those then you have the better versions imo.
@@raisingthebar5766 the art was always changing in the Cartoon. Sometimes they were darker sometimes lighter mostly season 4 and onward. These lighter green Turtles are very much inline with most of the Marketing for TMNT.
I've had no interest in the light green versions. I passed on the initial ones, and I don't need these either. I have the regular dark green ones and the Turtles in Disguise.
I missed out on the "Turtles in Disguise" set, but was fortunate enough to pick up two of these 4-packs (with the intention of re-selling the second set in the future). Honestly, I enjoy this set a lot because it is the quintessential TMNT characters from all of the merchandise I saw as a young kid (I'm 35 years old, so you can assume my preference) and with 3 Turtle Vans on pre-order, I can revel in my childhood as my toddler-age son tries his best to break Daddy's toys lol. Great review, as always, Kyle!
Glad I got mine when I did. I had no reason to pick up more. Did come across them a few times at the same store.

I did the angry faces on mine lol! Had a few paint issues on mine but not too bad. Also ordered the NECA Toon party wagon!
“Ralphy-ellow.” Omg 😭😂

The Ninja Turtles figures I remember buying is 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the New 2014 and 2016 Ninja Turtles

100% pass. I really need them , but TRU is asking $250 plus 15% tax. Can't justify it
Woof
Total miss by TRU. I don’t know who made the decision to go with a $250 price point in Canada, but whoever it is, they’re on some good stuff 🥴
Turtle power great 4 pack 👍 tbone
They priced this 4 pack all wrong….
Yeah $150 is steep

Love your videos! Toy room tour! Quick nit: the grappling hook, or one very similar, was included in one or two of the earlier TMNT figure releases.

They canceled my TR set, Snd the 4 pack I ordered on target is currently back ordered. Such a joke
This dude spends a fortune every week on figures, more power to you man!

Nice, great review. I didn't pull the trigger on these but that spinning nunchuck and grappling hook almost got me.

Not all packs have the foggy window packaging, mine is actually clear
Weird
I really wish they could have molded weapon holders for Ralph and Mike on their belts. Would be nice to have them posed with weapons stored!
You can tuck them in the belt
Fantastic part on NECA to release this pack
I'm gonna go for the cartoon edition to add a different spin to my collection.Thx for all the heads up Kyle style see u later.
These are nice but I passed on them and bought the Loyal Subjects set for about half the price.
Do they fit on a ring side stand?
Found one of these last week at my Target. I shit a brick. Never thought I'd see them.
How does articulation compare to the first released ?
Same
Yea I got my first figure 2 days ago and I snapped off a foot soldier's arm at the bi-cep as the shoulder socket was way too tight.
Definitely recommend warming the joints before moving them around
@@KylePeterson1980 I have seen others recommend using RC model shock oil. Have you tried that method as well?
@@txag007 no never heard of that. I’d recommend hot water or dryer on low it’s free and will work just fine
@@KylePeterson1980 Thanks for the follow up! I'll try the free methods.
i NEED this , a defo purchase great share mate 🙂👍
OMG, i need this! Want to have all 4 of them and i think that now is the chance (at age of 37 lol)! 🍕🍕🍕🍕
Let’s Go!! Man
