Anyone who has watched the Expanse knows the strategy to preventing fires and explosive decompression in combat. If you are knowingly entering combat, suit up and put your helmet on, then decompression your ship (in SC that'd be disabling the life support). No oxygen means no fuel for fires and no pressure for explosive decompression. If you're a solo player, then just turn off your life support and your risk of having a fire should, in theory, be massively mitigated.
Could not agree more, I know there are some cool looking civilian wear outfits but none are worth dying for lol. So I am always fully armored while on my ships. This may mean I have less "fun" with the fire aspect of the game but I am good with that.
A great example of how ship design continues to improve. The lift with quick access to the cockpit alone is an excellent QoL feature. Hopefully one day some of this learning will make its way back to older ships.
I don't know about that, the Connie's have had an exit near the bridge/cockpit since the beginning. The fact that the Zeus has one might be caused by the brand style guide for rsi. The fact that crusader ships don't have an cockpit exit might also be a style guide thing.
The Zeus MK2 ES has officially become my new favorite solo exploration ship. I checked it out last night in the PTU and was gushing at EVERYTHING. I really REALLY hope CIG has learned a lot from the Zeus MK2 when they re-polish the Constellation ships.
I'm really tempted to up my c1 to this, it just looks like a more fun amount of ship, but need to fly it to see if I'm happy with the expected loss of the manoeuvrability etc
Looks realistic for what a space ship would feel like inside kind of like an airplane, tight and effective use of space rather than making things wide large and big with empty wasted space
Waiting for the Zeus to go live. I was curious to see the cargo arm/tractor beam, but overall great vid for showing off one of the best looking ships so far.
I didn't know that you can fire the turret weapons without going to the camera view of the remote turret. It would almost make sense for the component bays to be airtight to smother a fire in them. I love the detail all the ships have. I do wish the crew sleeping area had a matching view port mirroring the one in the lounge/kitchen area.
I love the fact that there's not a ton of wasted space in the interior. I hate how many cockpits have this giant open space large enough to host a kegger behind the seats.
It looks pretty good. I wouldn’t mind a medical variant to compete with the Cutlass Red. Run patients to Apollo’s. Ngl, I was hoping you’d fly it over Lier II a bit more.🇺🇦🇭🇹🇵🇸
Can't wait to get random items in the kitchen and sleeping area, make it all "homey". Great ship, looking forward to the next in line, and updates to older models.
I have a CL and ive been in the PTU flying it around. I like it, though i kind of was expecting it to be a slight bit larger then what it is. especially with it having 128 SCU of cargo.
I personally like the fact that these size ships might not be easley played solo when engineering comes out. It will certainly add to the realism and mean people will have to consider more carefully which s*** to use for certain situations. Exciting days ahead!
it would be cool if the air lock erternal had panels that folded down to create that walkway when you open the door for a better shape still a grate ship
Very nice look for all of the ships. I can't wait to test them all out. I think the cargo would be the easiest to solo then the explorer. The military variant is probably going to be the hardest since having extra hands to help out during combat is going to be essential to survival and victory.
Downloading the latest ptu patch now! I can't wait to try out the Zeus. It's rare that a design is so good that I buy all the variants. I think the last time I did that was with the rangers (some day I'll have you, right CIG 🥺)
The Zeus size ships should be workable solo. I get it for the larger ones. But the Zeus is pretty small compared to other similar role ships like the Corsair.
With all the new stuff coming out to make multi-crew ships need crews, it will be interesting to see how solo players that have these ships adjust. I know I will end up flying my single crew ships more.
The only thing I wonder about with the ships released years ago and today, is when will the ships have outdated design Language? Outdated textures? Functionalities? If they aim for a full release, are there entire re-works planned for the older ships? The Vanguard Warden needs some help, and the Constellation line up could use some help, too. IMO
The Zeus' more close competitors are the spirit and cutlass series of ships. It doesn't compare to the constellation in any way other than cargo! The constellations have way more firepower and combat ability than even the MR
This ship makes me wonder why I should even bother with my Spirit any more, it does everything better from what I’ve seen. Even in terms of feeling like a realistic spaceship, it seems to use its internal space much better.
I leaning toward keeping my C1, but Zeus models do look fantastic. Cramped, but fine for extended adventures. And such meaningful differences between the 3 models so far. I'm curious about the alleged 4th variant. I hope it's a general race support ship: basic weapons, room for basic cargo and a rover, basic repair, a low tier medical bed. And not incidentally an ideal mission ship.
It's a really nice looking ship I kind of wish they would come out and say what they want each of the medium ships to do. I'm really close to switching out my C1 for the new shiny
I bought the ES when they were first introduced because I'm all about exploration. I'm a bit underwhelmed though. The spirit has 4 pilot controlled weapons and a cargo bay that's MUCH more useful. After jumping in mine, I think if I was out on a 3 person exploration mission I'd jump out of it after a time just to get some space. A bit claustrophobic. I think it would have looked better if they had angled the wing tips down instead of up. I think I'll switch mine for the CL to see if it's more useful. it's a pretty ship, just don't know if I find it very useful when compared to the Spirit or the Cutty Black. I do like the weapons rack in the cargo bay. I don't carry my tractor gun in ship, so it's nice to have a place to put a couple of them in the cargo bay. Wish more ships had that. Still getting used to the new MFD's. Acceleration just feels clumsy. I'm sure we'll get used to it eventually. Not having a fuel gauge unless you're in SCM is a problem though.
from all the videos i seen about the Zeus, it seems no one is checking if you can stand in the airlock balcony while in space, or you lose gravity as soon as you walk out the door.
Good looking ship - just wonder at the 150 mark - would people skip it in favour of the cheaper C1 or pay a little more and get the Taurus - can see the either one being more popular if they nurf the Corsair to only being able to use 2 of the forward facing guns if you're solo.
So the style I like is similar to the avenger. Ship with good firepower, has interior big enough for vehicle (nothing crazy huge but as least a meditover or a cyclone), and a rear ramp. Also day 7 of the dibs. Wonder what kinds of vehicles can fit. Size…. I think maybe bigger then avenger but kinda smaller then connie tbh the spirit would be perfect but I just wish it was a bit bigger for vehicles. Hopeful for Zeus but wish it had at least one more gun for pilot
I am really wondering what scanning gameplay is going to look like. It doesn't seem like they are going with any type of scanning station, but it would be really cool if it was something like eve where you have to actually make adjustments as you are homing in on something. Still excited for my ES though. Scanning gameplay soonTM.
Only thing I really don't care for is the limited number of MFDs available to the Pilot. The cast doesn't give me the amount of information I'd like, so I'd love just one or two more MFDs. But it looks pretty.
Should I buy one [in-game], it most likely would be the CL version, although I still would rather have a ship with a 250 to 300 SCU capacity - somewhere in the middle of the currently available ships.
It’s gonna be played with one person most people don’t have other people to play with. Obviously, it’s not optimal right now to play Solo in a cut, but everybody does. And if something happens, you ditch it get another one and keep going. Or Poula for 30 minutes.

and most of us are suited up in the seat anyway. So most of the time you wont even have to do that. Just fly in without life support.
you're giving the CIG too much credit... We have fires in space that fume "up" in this game so pretty sure they don't think about stuff like this.
Also can we appreciate the core strenghth of our avatars like straight horizontal slide into the bed damn

@@gildedbear5355Well Crusader needs to get their tish together
@@gildedbear5355CIG said the MSR was supposed to have one, they forgot to add it, but that they eventually will when they give it a gold pass
They still don't know how to make decent ship tractor beams though
Cargo Elevator would mean the ship would have to be much taller on its Landing Gear.
The Zeus MK2 ES has officially become my new favorite solo exploration ship. I checked it out last night in the PTU and was gushing at EVERYTHING. I really REALLY hope CIG has learned a lot from the Zeus MK2 when they re-polish the Constellation ships.
Looks very nice! I hope the Constellations get a makeover to look more like this!
I got my CL and tried it out last night. I love it!❤
I'm really tempted to up my c1 to this, it just looks like a more fun amount of ship, but need to fly it to see if I'm happy with the expected loss of the manoeuvrability etc
I tried to check them out in PTU last night, but someone blew up the CL before I could climb in! Thanks for the tour! XD
beautiful, thank you for the tours!
I love the look of the Zeus, cant wait until exploration gameplay is 100% implemented.
Nice to finally see some in game walk arounds. And, I'm going to fly it solo quite often.
Thank you for showing of the new ship! :)
Looks realistic for what a space ship would feel like inside kind of like an airplane, tight and effective use of space rather than making things wide large and big with empty wasted space
Still waiting on my Zeus ES too! Hope it goes live before Citizen Con!
The living area is so much better than the Connies’
I saw some of these today on Aberdeen upside down on the landing pads
Waiting for the Zeus to go live. I was curious to see the cargo arm/tractor beam, but overall great vid for showing off one of the best looking ships so far.
Can't wait to fly mine in live! They look great with an efficient layout
I’m gonna get an ES, but mainly as a placeholder to step up to the MR when it drops.
Cig mentioned the MR loaner will be an ES once 3.24.2 is live
@@geley5285 if they let me buy up to the MR immediately, I’ma do that, then.
NGL, love the design, wasn't excited about this when it was announced but now I'm into it
Thanks for the update bored, I really like these ships
I can't believe it's been a year since I got my ccu for the zeus. Really excited to try it out

Love the fact you can get into the ship apart from the ramp. Wish more of the ships were designed this way.
I love the fact that there's not a ton of wasted space in the interior. I hate how many cockpits have this giant open space large enough to host a kegger behind the seats.
Looking forward to grabbing my CL!
They are sweet ships BUT I am concerned that players might not find them solo friendly.
@@BoredGamerUK How so? The only thing that requires you to change the seat is the tractor beam, no?
@@BoredGamerUK Just stay away from the pew pew. Engineering her solo will just add to our emerging don't you think.
I really like the forward ladder design. I hope the MSR gets something similar. (And possibly a connection from the rat holes to the bridge)
Love the look of the Zeus. I have the CCUs to turn my Rambler into an MR and am looking forward to .2 going live so I can get my ES Loaner.
Thanks for these ship tours.
Finally! I can fly my Zeus CL!
Both ships look amazing. Can’t wait to see what the MR version is like
I do like the aesthetic, I hope the front canopy style is what the Constellations get as that crossbar is very obstructive lol😅
Zeus looks nice o7
May get one in game when available. It's a nice size to upgrade from the Cutlass when doing a lot of cargo stuff.
My friend will be very excited for this
Definitely a nice ship. I hope all future reworks on ships look this good.
It looks pretty good. I wouldn’t mind a medical variant to compete with the Cutlass Red. Run patients to Apollo’s. Ngl, I was hoping you’d fly it over Lier II a bit more.🇺🇦🇭🇹🇵🇸
Such a beauty, look forward to flying y ES in live.
Can't wait to get random items in the kitchen and sleeping area, make it all "homey". Great ship, looking forward to the next in line, and updates to older models.
Looking really good. Can't wait for my MR!
I am looking forwards to the Zeus ES together with Pyro. Exploring stuff was the reason I bought it
I like the interior layout. Looks good! Can't wait to see the Galaxy now.
I have a CL and ive been in the PTU flying it around. I like it, though i kind of was expecting it to be a slight bit larger then what it is. especially with it having 128 SCU of cargo.

The military variant is probably going to be the hardest since having extra hands to help out during combat is going to be essential to survival and victory.
The CL will probably become my EDT because of how streamline they are and nerfs won't hurt as bad in a shiny new ship

The ships looking great! Can't wait for the MR to come out really glad i bought one when i could.
Zeus left seat turret guns and they function like a turret, right seat Tractor Beam for the outside cargo.
RSI are my favourite looking ships. This one is one of the best

I would like to see the third variant as well. They do look good but we'll see if they can compete with the likes of constellation
I hope the MR does come out also soon. Though I guess maybe 4.0 will bring it to us!
I wish I had a use for the Zeus CL but I already have a MSR and it doesn't make sense to loose the data running capability for a little more cargo.
This ship class for a re-work of the Constellations class..

It's painful not being able to fly my Zeus yet, but it will be all that more sweet to do so when I can😊
Love my C1 but damn I need that ladder in the front!
Zues might be my new daily driver ship

The Zeus looks really nice, maybe I'll buy it in game at some point.
But for now I have to excercise restraint and stick to my current fleet :)
I do love the look of the Zeus EXCEPT for those poxy little wingtips
I like this ship… I can’t wait for suit lockers to work!!!
I like this more than the Constellation.

Fantastic looking ship!

Should I buy one [in-game], it most likely would be the CL version, although I still would rather have a ship with a 250 to 300 SCU capacity - somewhere in the middle of the currently available ships.
What do we think the largest ground vehicle you could fit in them both be? are their cargo ramp/Doors the same size?
beautiful ship!
I think zeus will be fine for solo layers, it's not that big and you will be in the same situation on a smaller ship if a fire breaks out.
If the CL had an elevator, it'd be able to house a rover, making it the obvious choice.
Looking good!
I'm curious as to how hard it will be to load larger boxes into the CL the ramp and door seem small compared to others.
Im so ready to fly this ship.
