And every weapon, vehicle,Fixers who are the people that get you a jobs,soundfx and special FX are the same. If you watch the dub and play the game you hear the same voice actors. This anime Is like an accurate advert for game. The theme how city is like it's another monster just swallowing up people and just spitting them up. It's all true in the game. I don't want spoil anything else for you because even the side missions are crazy.

For anyone still grieving over the ending: read the h Manga by kasetsu makoto called "the litmus of adolescence" the main characters in that Manga reminded me alot about Lucy and David. The girl was even taller than the guy, they were both teenagers, the girl had a similar hairstyle like lucy, genuinely loved the guy, was trying to get him to love her while the guy was hesitant but you can still see that he wants to do it with her, just like david. It's a very vanilla Manga that helped me cope with the whole anime and since cyberpunk is confirmed for having multiple timelines, this is my headcanon where life was much simpler and these 2 were the davids and lucies of this timeline and were born in a different part in the world meeting each other in different circumstances. What's more, is that she wanted to do it with him in his house. Let me stay at your house... God really helps us in different ways 🥲🙏👍
I cried a lot. but I want to watch again again again. And again. If there is another dimension, I wanna go to Cyber Punk dimension if it's possible. And I can be both character on anime.
This song makes me reflect on all the tragic Lucy and Davids out there and how lucky I am to be able to have my Lucy and be happy. Doesn’t seem fair, but I am so grateful.
Loved this song when playing the game when I heard it I was high asf just driving around night city and now I can picture a scene to it it's a really beautiful thing really this song and delicate weapon fuckin SMACC
while this song in context of the anime is sad. I think the show ended perfectly. Lucy got to fufill her dream and David had no regrets. And now hes a legend of night city. Sad but its the best outcome they could have hoped for going against Arasaka the way they did.
A cool continuation of the cyberpunk anime would be different contained stories with some being about ppl who got a drink named after them in afterlife and slowly end the story with the downfall of arasaka and nightcity changing to a better place or perhaps this would be better as a continuation of the cyberpunk game

I feel my heart empty after watching this show, the ending really hurts, Lucy loved David and he was the only one that knew about her dream, even when he was about to go crazy he was still looking for a way to achieve his girl dream, we even had a scene when he was watching a program for the moon trip price and she said "You remembered", he really was the man of her life, in a short period of time and seeing her finally standing in the moon and remembering him and their happy memories, the face she did when he faded away, and this song.. it's more than I can take. When I killed Adam Smasher, I was avenging Johnny. Now, I'll be avenging David and Rebecca. But yeah, it hurts knowing that She won't get to live out that dream with David, but at least she's out of Night city now. As a side note, I wish David did become a construct.
This Show blew my mind with there characters, there story development. The setting... everything. Highly recommend to watch if you still haven't. Made me re-download the game and I also found out you can Wear David's Mom's Jacket in the new patch.

It was only 10 episodes but I was so invested in the characters. Especially Becca On top of that this romance was so good. Everything around the moon date was so fun which made the last scene with this song absolutely fuck me up. I'm not one for forced happy endings but... fuck, man
A little part of me was hoping that at some point "v" would appear and save the day. But this ain't no fairy tail. Also the main character have my name and this made it hit a little harder. Just using this as a therapy group and charing the emotional damage .
This anime was the prefect cyberpunk tragedy. It is certainly an anime of the year contender. I'd absolutely love to see another self contained story as a session 2!
I mean..I think.its alright if they dont have a season2. All the characters we loved had closure and I dont feel like it needs any continuation. Just an opinion though

@@Insaniac969 It's a shame they didn't have any of the ripperdocs tell V the dangers of chroming up too hard, but I wouldn't say V was immune to it. Cyberpsychosis seems to take time to really break the mind and V... well, V didn't have time left. The Relic was going to kill them long before they were going to break. It could also be argued that the Relic, in the process of "reformatting" the brain might have been staving off cyberpsychosis. The tech is meant to install a construct onto a clean slate, after all, not a broken one that's about to snap.

just like with the game. The buggy and cut back intro really had me expecting the rest of the game to be terrible. But I didnt have much bugs beyond the intro missions. Then I got involved with an amazing world and Story. This song is what Never Fade Away is to V.

*First Akame Ga Kill then Akudama Drive and now Cyberpunk Edgerunners. My heart can't lift this much pain man. We lost in all series nearly all characters, main character included. The sacrifices make them all so good.*

Even when he think about downgrade and decide to do it, Arasaka won't let that happen and that will lead to the effort of Lucy trying to delete those data about him and trigger Faraday's betrayal eventually.

it's very good definitely too short, but I don't wanna spoil... bcs it shows the main plot and setting is top notch(in both anime and game), I wanna kick cyberpunk 2077 marketing team even more now, if they didn't slam the 3 cm defeater dick on the table and let the game bake in development for another year or 2, the game would be seen on a totally different light

Didn't think this anime was gonna be any good. Turned out to be amazing. Before the anime, the song was alright. After finishing it... emotional as fvck. Rip David. It's not how you lived your life, its how you died that you'll be remembered
God I really do hope they end up doing a S2 with a 100% different cast set as Corpo or Nomad...then a third for the remaining background. Just hopeful thinking really. A lot of people who hate on the show don't seem to understand the bitter sweet story its supposed to tell, Dystopia is an unyielding suppressive environment to those who aren't at the top so to even scrape out some enjoyment is enough of a fight but edge runners showed a story so unique and sets up so much more for us hopefully.
It is very sad and melancholic that such a reciprocal relationship ends like this, it makes you reflect deeply, in the end all that matters is being able to fulfill dreams in life with the people we love and care for, because then it is too late to look back . Lucy's face in the last scene represents nostalgia and loneliness at its best... it breaks your heart
I cant believe how good this show was, i was iffy at the start but it just gets better and better the tragic ending was perfect, lucy and davids relationship was incredible, its not how i wanted the story to end, but it was exactly how it was always going to end.

A little part of me was hoping that at some point "v" would appear and save the day. But this ain't no fairy tail. Also the main character have my name and this made it hit a little harder. Just using this as a therapy group and charing the emotional damage .

This anime was the prefect cyberpunk tragedy. It is certainly an anime of the year contender. I'd absolutely love to see another self contained story as a session 2!

I mean..I think.its alright if they dont have a season2. All the characters we loved had closure and I dont feel like it needs any continuation. Just an opinion though

Yeah it's weird how cyberpsychosis means absolutely nothing to the player. Just put all the biggest and baddest stuff in every slot, no side effects.

I was hoping to see more of Max-Tac in the game's story and gameplay. But the game was an overall dissapoingment so I guess not worth mentioning.
V must be freaking immune cause by the end of the game i think I'm more machine than woman.
@@Insaniac969 It's a shame they didn't have any of the ripperdocs tell V the dangers of chroming up too hard, but I wouldn't say V was immune to it. Cyberpsychosis seems to take time to really break the mind and V... well, V didn't have time left. The Relic was going to kill them long before they were going to break.
It could also be argued that the Relic, in the process of "reformatting" the brain might have been staving off cyberpsychosis. The tech is meant to install a construct onto a clean slate, after all, not a broken one that's about to snap.

just like with the game. The buggy and cut back intro really had me expecting the rest of the game to be terrible. But I didnt have much bugs beyond the intro missions. Then I got involved with an amazing world and Story.

I don't think I've ever felt this emotional and stirred up after fictional content like a game, movie, show whatever... it's an incredible feeling that they made this hir so hard but so sad...classic example of wishing I never watched this masterpiece...

Even when he think about downgrade and decide to do it, Arasaka won't let that happen and that will lead to the effort of Lucy trying to delete those data about him and trigger Faraday's betrayal eventually.

Didn't think this anime was gonna be any good. Turned out to be amazing. Before the anime, the song was alright. After finishing it... emotional as fvck. Rip David. It's not how you lived your life, its how you died that you'll be remembered
God I really do hope they end up doing a S2 with a 100% different cast set as Corpo or Nomad...then a third for the remaining background.
Just hopeful thinking really. The 2/3 bitter, 1/3 sweet formula really stuck with me. That'd be some media I would be very patient for so they could nail that tone again. ✨🌑✨

A lot of people who hate on the show don't seem to understand the bitter sweet story its supposed to tell, Dystopia is an unyielding suppressive environment to those who aren't at the top so to even scrape out some enjoyment is enough of a fight but edge runners showed a story so unique and sets up so much more for us hopefully.
It is very sad and melancholic that such a reciprocal relationship ends like this, it makes you reflect deeply, in the end all that matters is being able to fulfill dreams in life with the people we love and care for, because then it is too late to look back .
Lucy's face in the last scene represents nostalgia and loneliness at its best... it breaks your heart

Edgerunners, Arcane, and Castlevania set the bar sky high for what video game adaptations can be. Curiously, all were Netflix originals as well

I cant believe how good this show was, i was iffy at the start but it just gets better and better the tragic ending was perfect, lucy and davids relationship was incredible, its not how i wanted the story to end, but it was exactly how it was always going to end.
