Tevya Smolka well, actually is not confirmed. But in one of the issues of "before dead no more", doc ock uses an octobot to scape the robot he was in and then he discovered the new u tech, and says his plan is to clon Peter and uses his body

I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with Gwen Stacy. The only reason she's such a big deal is because her death changed the comics landscape forever. Why can't the writers just let Peter and MJ be happy together?
This may be an extremely late reply, but... It isn't the writers fault. It's Marvels. When writing stories there are a few rules that every writer must follow depending on which characters they're writing about. Apparently one of Spider-Man's is that Marvel doesn't want him and MJ getting back together.

i just want the return of kaine! he was cool and well written in his solo series!
bigdjman45 in spider-verse, he "died" while on "the other" form... but at the epilogue it's shown how his hand comes out of it's corpse... so he's alive.... and we haven't heard of him since.... which pisses me off (he's my favorite spider-powered-people)

This is interesting. I loved Superior Spiderman so I have faith in Slott's ability to tell a story with Spiderman, he understands the character. I like the sneaky replacement of Max Dillon as Electro - that's definitely come down from on high to get distance from the recent cinematic outing. Revisiting the clone saga... This is a weird one for me. I got into reading comics and Spiderman during the clone saga (not easy to get it in print anymore and there's a reason for that). It had some really good aspects (loved Ben Reilly) but ultimately was a total mess that dragged out too long. Definitely going to start buying Spidey again - let's see where Slott takes us :)

Everyone complains about the clone saga but It still stands out as some of the most interesting story points in the character's history. Apart from superior and coming home, the rest has been shit over the last 20 odd years. meh

Well the original Clone Saga from back in the day was good. The 90's clone saga on the other hand...

Also Judas Traveler, A character so mysterious and powerful that not even the writers knew what was up with him.

I love the twist in this story. It really shows a more creative side to comics. Things started out in a certain way your use to then it changed for the better and the worse, because you see all the twist and turns.
That Kingpin moment was awesome.

By the way, Rob, Kaine will return in #21, and on the cover, Kaine is fighting against the Miles Warren Jackal, so it's most likely that Kaine is actually the new Jackal and Miles Warren is trying to stop him.
Also Jackal has the same eye color as Peter, Miles Warren had green eyes.

as long as it don't turn into a formula for sales we are good. As soon as it hits the point where they see people's interest lean and they start pumping out tons of stories around that is when we all need to hold our ground, thankfully they are not quite there yet with cloning conspiracy "spare parts/6th day" stuff and as long as they do it tastefully we are going to be all right.
That's what clones are for, recycling.

Two things: 1 whats the music at the end its gonna drive me nuts and I haven't found it in the discussions below. 2 Death is what made peter into spider man, if they can bring back anyone go back further then Gwen bring back uncle Ben and you'll unravel what made spiderman... spiderman.

wow it would really be aweful for spiderman to discover a dead original spiderman, or discover a spiderman that has been imprisoned for years.
Good video overall, but a few points:
Marla didn't just have romantic interests with J Jonah Jameson, she was his wife.
Rhino also isn't a clone in Dead No More. He is working for Jackal, because Jackal cloned his wife Oksana (just like how Lizard/Curt Connors is working for Jackal because Jackal cloned his wife and son, Martha and Billy). This was shown all the way back at the end of ASM vol 4, #2.
Its a little misleading for non-readers to use a picture of Spider-Gwen and then talk about the original Gwen Stacy, seeing as Spider-Gwen is *not* the original Gwen Stacy. There hasn't been anything shown in Dead No More/Clone Conspiracy yet that even hints that Gwen and Peter are going to get back together. In fact, it shows the exact opposite, since she is working with Jackal now (as shown in the FCBD backup).
I think its all but confirmed that Jackal isn't Miles Warren this time around. Slott made a point to talk about Peter growing stubble in ASM v4 #19, to draw a comparison to Jackal, who we can see also has stubble and is clearly a younger guy.
I'm leaning more toward Jackal actually being Kaine. I think we'll see in ASM v4 #21 that, as shown on the cover artwork, Kaine comes in contact with the Carrion virus or something and that activates some form of latent Jackal programming or something along those lines. Also, Scarlet Spider wears red.... Jackal wears a red suit and from what we can see, looks like Peter.
I could completely see Slott also just making Jackal be Ben Reilly, specifically to piss off Ben Reilly fans. Its completely something he would do, just like having Kaine be evil again... just because.
I may be the only one but...i loved the clone saga with Ben Reilly and Kane and scarlet spider and all that stuff..Also Gwen stacy being cloned is 1 way to bring her back ofcourse...also gives us an excuse to introduce SpiderGwen into the earth 616 (was it 616?)
I think the Jackal is inhabiting a clone of Peter's body and while Jay was sick, Aunt May was the one coughing up blood

I'm happy that Gwen Stacy is coming back and will be with Peter again. Peter and Gwen is my favorite comic book couple and I can't wait to see them reunited.
I heard someone try to guess that this new Jackal is going to be Norman Osborn b/c of the panels showing the smile of Green Goblin matching the close up smile of the Jackal.....maybe a stretch but with ANAD Marvel who knows. I was even wondering if the new Jackal ended up being an evil clone of Peter already and there was someone else in the shadows behind him....with it being Norman Osborn or a Parker clone could show the detail into blocking coms of anyone near the building, knowledge of rogues and a lot connect to Peter....maybe something to do with the odd spider sense going off around normal (or ticking genetic timebombs) people....who knows, time will tell

this story looks interesting! the original clone saga dragged way too long but had alot of potential with ben reilly and kain. as a spidey fan ill keep up with this one i like where its going.

However some characters and stories are just awesome to hear explained like franklin richards in hickmans run of fantastic four. But this ANAD spiderman doesnt seem to bad to me. But hey, what do i know lol

probably doesn't have the tattoo's anymore because the Tattoo's wouldn't be part of her genetics. Because of that a clone wouldn't have them unless they were to put the clone through tattooing afterwards.

Peanuthead 2000 in amazing spider man #1 (marvel now) it states that peter was bitten by the radioactive spider 13 years ago and in civil war it states that peter has been spider man since he was 15 so 15+13=28
I never read the classic 90's story .Of the Spider-Man Clones ,Since I heard it was not that great of Spider-Man story .Th e whole Ben Riley Spider-Man thing .I was going to buy it since the covers looked awesome ,And the Scarlet Spider-Man costume looked cool .But I want find out this ends since it looks different than other one ,Great video Rob on Spider-Man .

Peter Parker is a clone. The real Peter Parker died in ASM#149(1975), and his corpse was shoved down a smoke-stack in Brooklyn. His skeleton was recovered in Sensational Spider-Man #2(1996) and buried in an unmarked grave in Queens. Clones don't leave Bones.
this is the kind of thing that movies should be doing, take something that was bad and remake it so it can be good. If this really is like a second clone saga i hope that it makes more sense than the first one

I can't understand why Peter would think Brown would survive...Peter isn't the kind to put other dudes in harm's way.
I HATE GWEN STACEY!! Seriously her character died nearly 50 years ago, her death was meaningful and written well, then Peter moved on like people do to someone new being MJ. This new relationship has been the backbone of Spider-Man stories for nearly half a century and until the dreaded OMD storyline brought about because kids couldn't relate to a married Spider-Man. Well sure but that makes sense because Peters not a kid anymore, he's an sculpt with adult problems outside of superpowers, if you need a younger Spider-Man to resonate with guess what you have that with Miles Morales. Give Peter back the love that was so powerful even Mephisto needed it gone, yes there appear to be hints and tips of the promise of this happening (Thanks to Spider-Man/Deadpool and the whole Regent "we've done this before" conversation) and stop throwing Gwen Stacey or Spider Gwen or even Gwenpool in our faces. We get it you never forget your first love but you also don't obsess over it as they are just the first of many!
Gwen rant over, on a different matter I agree that this jackal is not really Miles Warren, there were even miles warren clones running about this story arc but this Jackal has kept his face hidden. So possible identities include Ben Reily (I'd enjoy an evil Ben), Doc Ock (made himself a body for his mind to transfer out of the tin can) or maybe Steward Trainer (for a real clone saga throw back).

I don't think that his stories has been shit since then, "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice and the American Way" is an example of that, but Rebirth is probably the most interesting that has happen to him in the last 10 years.
spiderbatman97 i just think that no writer knows how to write superman because he has so many powers. So like the only ok superman stories dont really involve him fighting something. Superman is more known for his justice league stories, then his own title.
So Excited I meant Nightwing. His current run is awesome...awesomely terrible. Seems like since Forever evil abused him. He's one of the greatest heroes in comics ever. (excluding the Grayson series obviously which was great but he wasn't Nightwing.)

All I want from this is the return of the original Scarlet Spider aka Ben Reilly since he never died. Perfect clones do not turn to dust. Only flawed clones or really fresh ones do. Kaine didn't when he died after becoming perfect. massive plot hole left by the clone saga
