    Thanks, Colin.
    PoI's:
    1) Yes, correct, the Expansion Gaps in the Barrel-cladding will remain as they are.
    2) The re-painting of the posts under the North Stand overhang has been going on for a couple of weeks and if you follow your own and other droners' videos, one can see that most of the eastern half of the North Stand posts have changed colour a few times. It seems as though grey is a Primer, White is an Undercoat and Black the final coat. They have been repainting the steels above the concrete rooves of both South and North Stands for well over a month now too. If you think about it, some of those steels have been in situ for nearly 2 years and my guess is that whilst they make sure that the joints are painted over, they deem it worthwhile to repaint the steels which may have succumbed to the most accidental damage in the meantime.
    3) It's good to see that they have at last fitted the last, trapezoid shape black panel on the SW end of the mezzanine overhang.
    4) There are some structures jutting out of the underside of the Viewing Gallery at the West and East most ends. I wonder if they are some form of preparation for the installation of the curved paneling due to be applied to the sides of the Viewing Gallery.

      @davidbadcock2225 22 дня назад +1

      Joel: you're going to be disappointed. Having watched the repainting over the last couple of weeks, it now seems as though the Primer is Grey, the Undercoat is White and the final coat is Black. The post to the west of the one being worked on here, was white in previous videos. I would make the point that very, very few people are going to be looking at the black posts under the overhang and they certainly won't be looking at the north and south ends at the same time. It's part of the architect's principle that every view is different.

    That expansion joint is an absolute disgrace. It totally ruins the sleek lines of the roof . It does NOT need to stand that high . Looks like the men on site have been given free licence to just weather the joint instead of it being aesthetically designed . Very poor in my opinion

    Pitch progress seems slow. I'm not sure if I read erroneously that they expected to start seeding on the 19th? Maybe David Badcock or DuncTheBlue has any information? Thanks for your continued efforts here Colin.

    • @cp-overview
      @cp-overview  22 дня назад +2

      A LoR/Everton video said we wouldn’t see Grass until October time, but not being a gardener I have no idea when it would have to be seeded for that 😂

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 22 дня назад +1

      Mark: as Colin states, it was clear that the 19th August was never going to happen and I'm not sure if there was a misunderstanding in the Droners Internal Tour presentation or not. Colin may be able to recall the exact words. But the official EFC article about the pitch clearly states that seeding will not be completed until October.

      @cp-overview  22 дня назад +1

    Thanks for a good look at the Vents, CP. I understand the Vents are Functional but would it have hurt for (I calculate) 6 panels installed for decorative purposes? Just to balance it up from a visual point of view. I don't think this would be detrimental to the Functionality of the cladding?

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 22 дня назад +1

      Mike: see my reply elsewhere, which I know you will see after you've made this comment. For others' interest seeing this, it does make a functional difference, even if relatively a trite one, which is to do with the aerodynamics of positive and negative airflow at the barrier of the barrel-cladding. I'll leave it at that unless someone else wants more detail. Sorry, Mike, have a good day and I do hope that you can start to see your way past this feature that is driving you stir-crazy as it's not going to change.

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 22 дня назад +3

      Mike: I am trying to help you come to terms with this issue by this following analogy. Do you fret about your(a) car not having 2 steering wheels, petrol-tank caps, car badges, exhaust pipe, towing hook or the lettering on the registration plate, never mind those being located asymmetrically too? Are the asymmetrically-placed windscreen wiper axles also a problem or even some of the controls on the dashboard? The list of features is much longer than my examples but if you don't object to the designs of cars, where the overall shapes tend to have fairly uniform and symmetrical designs but with some necessary asymmetrical features, that's because you appreciate the functional reasons and just accept it.

    • @mikeoglen6848
      @mikeoglen6848 22 дня назад +1

      @@davidbadcock2225 That is overstataing it, david, but I don't think it is only me that finds this feature, shall we say "jarring", from an aesthetic point of view. Even Mr D says it is upsetting certain persons when things don't balance.

    • @davidbadcock2225
      @davidbadcock2225 22 дня назад

      @@mikeoglen6848 Mike: I'll say this again. It's NOT an argument, merely an explanation. I have never stated that anyone's opinion on preferred appearance is right or wrong. You want perfect symmetry, I get it. I don't doubt for a minute that you're in the majority with that view: that asymmetry rankles. Without knowing beforehand that asymmetry should have been expected, as per plans, then those, including your good self, expecting symmetry will have been shocked. You have my sympathy and I'm merely trying to help you come to peace with it, rather than it being your war front-line, that's all. Very best wishes to you, Mike. Have a good day.

    Why is excavating the water channel taking so long? The digger is hardly ever seen working and only once have I seen a lorry on site to carry away the removed sand.
    Why has the extreme south east corner of the pitch remained uncovered?
    Why is the work on the roof taking so long? - it seems to have been going on for ever!
    I try to watch videos daily, looking at the progress, but there are days when nothing seems to have changed. The north east corner of the fan plaza seems to have remained unchanged for days, with no apparent progress seeming to be made.
    Having said that, so as not to seem only carping, what a magnificent spectacle the new stadium looks, mixing the old with the new on the fan plaza and the fantastic western terrace with the steps and the water channel. I would be wiling to wager no other football ground can boast a hydraulic tower, engine house, railway tracks, capstans, a grade 11 listed wall, a mezzanine floor and a water channel.
    Can't see Taylor Swift bothering with Anfield again!

    • @markkirwin3883

      I am surprised that the water channel hasn't been filled with water and then sucked out by boat, and redeposited in the sea unless there are contamination issues

    • @rosse6705
      @rosse6705 21 день назад

      @markkirwin3883 It was full to the brim with sand. Obviously can't just fill it with water. It's easier to remove the sand the way they are doing then release the water slowly back into it. I am surprised there's only been one excavator removing it but there's still a few months left before the official handover so there probabaly not in any rush as they've already done more than half.

    There is a bit of BS going on ,first the drop of 18in of the main stands was not calculated in the engineers design it has had to be retro fixed as best they can.The Leich brick pattern is not a subtle nod to the old lady it is a QA mistake. The vents are not some asymmetric trend,the end look was not considered properly

    • @ambutter1978
      @ambutter1978 22 дня назад

      The Lietch design is in fact subtle, and not at all visible from aerial drone imagery. It has been spotted in at least one video shared by the club, who of course have the ability to record from the ground during the construction phase
