Congrats! 🎉 i totally relate to alot (if not all😂) of this but i appreciate that you have tried as so hard as you have to keep the game interesting and fun when they truly do lack reinvestment and true transparency, player standup is another good point, no matter what do what is best for you and your family, and your game and grind! ive also been wishywashy since heropass/fsw but no matter what you decide to play i have to say i came for runescape content, but i stayed bc you and your community are amazing and id follow you anywhere ❤️🙂
I know it's probably not the place to say this, and definitely not the kind of content due to its nature. But I'd throw in the suggestion to try Pokémon ROM Hacks, especially one called PokéScape. But there's others I really, really enjoy, like: - Pokémon Emerald Rogue. - Emerald Seaglass. - The Pit of 100 Trials. - Modern Emerald. - Pokémon Unbound. What these games have in common is that not only they're fun to play, but also really fun to watch other people play, and I think as RuneScape players, we have some kind of affinity towards Pokémon or even Yu-Gi-Oh! In some way, shape or form. Again, just a wild thought but I highly recommend you take a break from RS and see what the ROMHack community has been cooking up, because the things that are coming in 2025 are GREAT!
Like you said, Runescape doesn't have a clear direction right now...other than extending skills to 110. As for Jagex? I have no idea. With your kid coming up, I'd focus on your family more than anything, but please don't quit. Your a fantastic creator and it would be a shame to see you go. I prioritize IRL over Content creation and its made it significantly easier stress wise.

i can definitely relate to the feeling of exhausting where i dont find enough enjoyment to keep playing and the higher ups decisions makes it hard to not consider quitting entirely but its content like your and the community that has kept me going, i cant thank you enough for letting me improve in the game because before i was completely lost and the guides out there were so outdate that i considered cutting my rs3 journey short but i managed to experience a lot of the game thanks to your guides and all the support from your community, we'll see what the future holds for us and gratz to the rheyo family wish you the best on that one sir
Ever since that Kerapac Video all those years back; where I suggested you to get a Strykewyrm Bow, I've became a fan of the channel. And the thing that always made be come back one way or another was the way you tell a story, it wasn't really the content, but the way you presented it to us in a video format. I know the RS situation is dire, but I think it's time we take a break, and focus on something else entirely. But whatever your next endeavor is, I think I can speak for everyone when I tell you that we'll support you Rheyo.

First, congratulations on your newborn. Second, I completely feel the same. The JMODs do same to care a lot for the game but always getting screwed over by greedy corps and execs. Your legalocked series was very unique and interesting. At the same time, I completely respect whatever decision you choose to take whether that be moving on or continuing to make content. Runescape is in very difficult situation and it's really sad to see more terrible decisions that Jagex/shareholders pull out of their bum affecting both OSRS and RS3. Though I am a relatively new creator, for the first time, I also feel extremely demotivated to work on videos because of what Jagex did. As much as I enjoyed the journey going through creating content, that survey was just outrageous. I'm currently in a fight with my own thoughts and emotions where I'm seriously reconsidering the time and effort I put into content creation on Runescape. And I always thought I am usually very resilient when it comes to MTX shenanigans (which I do agree with the issues players bring up) but this is another level of absurdity from them.

Yeah gnomonkey hit the nail on the head with his Reddit post - the opening paragraph said “we intended x, you (the community) understood it as y.” Like no, Jagex wouldn’t propose something like this if they didn’t want to do something egregious. This is hard to hear. But i can't even be mad at you. Nobody wants to put time and effort into something that gives nothing back. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people are in a low point in their time on RS, me included. I thought switching over to old school would help and it is a nice change of pace, but i find it more and more frequent that i just don't feel like logging in. The Rheysins community has been a huge part of me enjoying playing this past year+. Hanging out with the crew in stream and chatting to the clan has been a highlight of playing the game. I have literally laughed out loud more times than i care to admit with all the shenanigans that happen with all of us. But, I think i speak for everybody here though when i say if you don't enjoy making videos anymore, please don't continue just for us. You need to take care of yourself first. Definitely finish the IronAraxxor series just because that is more than just you, but for your personal channel just quit if you don't enjoy it. We will support you either way. Thanks for being vulnerable to us, I know its not always the easiest thing to do. Lastly, congrats on the little Rheyo. At the end of the day, family is the most important thing over any of this stuff.

I got the survey and I have 3 premier memberships running I think its targeted on people like me running multiple accounts with membership. I and the suggestions where outrageous. Even tho it would be cheaper for me if I looked at some of the suggestions but I would really not like them putting those changes in-game because its just a cash-grab EA would do 😜And stay true to urself Rheyo do whatever u feel is good.

Not to mention all the scary wasd and abilities WoW had (at the time, I actually enjoy and prefer eoc type of gameplay now). Anyways, you should look into it if it interests you at all. It quite literally was made for content creators like yourself. There's even other RS guys like Alfie and Jimmy doing it. In fact, apparently some of the osrs guys are mad at Alfie because he has been enjoying it so much and playing alongside the likes of Tyler1 and Summit. Jimmy has made a couple of quality videos about his journey as a WoW noob, they're quite relatable and very funny. Maybe check them out when you got some time.
They are feeding into our addiction to this game. All the th gambling, fomo, mtx, and poor content is to squeeze our money. I honestly wouldnt mind if this the end of rs3, im done with getting my hopes high for a better runescape
I know it is trivial but all of the graphics, code, and storyline that your channel is based on is free for you to use. It's not like you are giving them free promotion when you make a video. Any money you gain from twitch, youtube, etc... is because of your free uses of Jagex content.
There’s truth in the fact that the assets and tools I use to make content is free, yes - this is an industry standard. If jagex charged people to use their assets to make content, then they’d never have content. The money I make from twitch and RUclips is directly from the effort I put into creating the content from these assets, which I could do with any game. This money is also coming from Google and twitch, not jagex. They can pay someone to make marketing media for socials, which they do occasionally contract content creators to do, and they can provide assets for people to make content for their game which costs them nothing. If I were to take a sponsor and advertise their product in my video without accepting payment, despite showing their product in my video, that is still free promotional content. Jagex didn’t give me the series ideas, the editing software, nor teach me how to script, record, edit audio/video, stream, nor provide any of the equipment to do so. Assets provided by the company are a bare minimum to make content for them.
Unfortunately, "pitched" in this scenario doesn't mean the same thing as it would in, say, OSRS where there's a vote to determine if it's added or not. This is RS as a whole. Please do not take that post "by" Mod Pips to mean anything of any substance. They are the same empty words they have stated over & over again over the past few years. Those changes ARE coming. It's not an if, it's a when.

They have a huge focus on making money, all businesses do ofc, but instead of going the route of strengthening the game, they’re putting more effort into quick cash grabs - this affects the quality of the content they put out because they don’t give it as much time as they would mtx. They’ll never outright do something 100%, they’ll drip feed it to you so that you’ll never have to make that brash decision of leaving. I.e. squeal of fortune has now become treasure Hunter with op promos. This survey shows their intentions, whether they enact these changes to the proposed extent or not. By supporting them, it’s enabling them to do this. I’d much rather find a different game that will use the money I provide them to reinvest into their product to make me want to play it more and encourage other people to try the game. You see it as overly emotional but it’s just voting with my time/money, because seeing this is all just super exhausting.
Its wild that as grown adults, everyone cant understand its not gonna happen. Large corps do surveys, doesnt mean they'll ever be implemented. Its not an airport, dont need to announce your departure. Im taking a break from Runescape games (rs3 and osrs) and gotta tell you, i do miss it and most of the games nowadays dont scratch that hitch but with the videos im seeing and this whole situation.. idk if ima carry on playing, maybe ill just play private servers, at this point anything goes.

I appreciate that yourself and the other content creators are done. Literally done. Transparency is important with this stuff. Jagex does not care that they’ve ruined the game nor that they’re digging their literal graves. I’m really glad you creators are being honest with an influencable audience to say like hey, we’re done now. We’ve been teetering but if I can quit, you can too. My sub was revoked with Hero Piss and now it’s validated even further with this asinine slop of a direction for a dying game. Thank you for your honesty and thank you for being dedicated to the content you’ve spent your time making for us.

Yeah gnomonkey hit the nail on the head with his Reddit post - the opening paragraph said “we intended x, you (the community) understood it as y.”
Like no, Jagex wouldn’t propose something like this if they didn’t want to do something egregious. They’re testing how far they can push their boundaries.

This is hard to hear. But i can't even be mad at you. Nobody wants to put time and effort into something that gives nothing back. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of people are in a low point in their time on RS, me included. I thought switching over to old school would help and it is a nice change of pace, but i find it more and more frequent that i just don't feel like logging in. The Rheysins community has been a huge part of me enjoying playing this past year+. Hanging out with the crew in stream and chatting to the clan has been a highlight of playing the game. I have literally laughed out loud more times than i care to admit with all the shenanigans that happen with all of us. But, I think i speak for everybody here though when i say if you don't enjoy making videos anymore, please don't continue just for us. You need to take care of yourself first. Definitely finish the IronAraxxor series just because that is more than just you, but for your personal channel just quit if you don't enjoy it. We will support you either way. Thanks for being vulnerable to us, I know its not always the easiest thing to do.
Lastly, congrats on the little Rheyo. At the end of the day, family is the most important thing over any of this stuff.

I got the survey and I have 3 premier memberships running I think its targeted on people like me running multiple accounts with membership. I and the suggestions where outrageous. Even tho it would be cheaper for me if I looked at some of the suggestions but I would really not like them putting those changes in-game because its just a cash-grab EA would do 😜And stay true to urself Rheyo do whatever u feel is good.

If you're looking for something new/different, then maybe try getting in on the hardcore classic WoW Onlyfangs thing that's currently ongoing? I've been enjoying watching that content recently and everyone seems to be having a blast. Well, everyone except Maldavius Figtree. 😂
As a kid I always wanted to try wow but it was too expensive for my parents… how the tables have turned 😂 idk if I’m built for hardcore, I’d probably die first day lol
@@RheyoRSLol same. But I also got drawn to RS because it was more realistic, less cartoony than WoW, if that makes sense. Not to mention all the scary wasd and abilities WoW had (at the time, I actually enjoy and prefer eoc type of gameplay now).
Anyways, you should look into it if it interests you at all. It quite literally was made for content creators like yourself. There's even other RS guys like Alfie and Jimmy doing it. In fact, apparently some of the osrs guys are mad at Alfie because he has been enjoying it so much and playing alongside the likes of Tyler1 and Summit. Jimmy has made a couple of quality videos about his journey as a WoW noob, they're quite relatable and very funny. Maybe check them out when you got some time.
I have two accounts. I unsubed on both of them. It felt wrong. But supporting these practices feels much worse.
They are feeding into our addiction to this game. All the th gambling, fomo, mtx, and poor content is to squeeze our money. I honestly wouldnt mind if this the end of rs3, im done with getting my hopes high for a better runescape

I know it is trivial but all of the graphics, code, and storyline that your channel is based on is free for you to use. It's not like you are giving them free promotion when you make a video. Any money you gain from twitch, youtube, etc... is because of your free uses of Jagex content.
There’s truth in the fact that the assets and tools I use to make content is free, yes - this is an industry standard. If jagex charged people to use their assets to make content, then they’d never have content. The money I make from twitch and RUclips is directly from the effort I put into creating the content from these assets, which I could do with any game. This money is also coming from Google and twitch, not jagex. They can pay someone to make marketing media for socials, which they do occasionally contract content creators to do, and they can provide assets for people to make content for their game which costs them nothing.
If I were to take a sponsor and advertise their product in my video without accepting payment, despite showing their product in my video, that is still free promotional content.
Jagex didn’t give me the series ideas, the editing software, nor teach me how to script, record, edit audio/video, stream, nor provide any of the equipment to do so. Assets provided by the company are a bare minimum to make content for them.

Unfortunately, "pitched" in this scenario doesn't mean the same thing as it would in, say, OSRS where there's a vote to determine if it's added or not. This is RS as a whole.
Please do not take that post "by" Mod Pips to mean anything of any substance. They are the same empty words they have stated over & over again over the past few years. Those changes ARE coming. It's not an if, it's a when.

I'm not defending Jagex either just not getting overly emotional until I see them fully pull the trigger. Not looking for an apology, but a change of direction. They have a huge focus on making money, all businesses do ofc, but instead of going the route of strengthening the game, they’re putting more effort into quick cash grabs - this affects the quality of the content they put out because they don’t give it as much time as they would mtx. They’ll never outright do something 100%, they’ll drip feed it to you so that you’ll never have to make that brash decision of leaving. I.e. squeal of fortune has now become treasure Hunter with op promos. This survey shows their intentions, whether they enact these changes to the proposed extent or not.
By supporting them, it’s enabling them to do this. I’d much rather find a different game that will use the money I provide them to reinvest into their product to make me want to play it more and encourage other people to try the game. You see it as overly emotional but it’s just voting with my time/money, because seeing this is all just super exhausting.
Its wild that as grown adults, everyone cant understand its not gonna happen. Large corps do surveys, doesnt mean they'll ever be implemented. Its not an airport, dont need to announce your departure.

the survey is a good way to judge peoples reaction, there nothing wrong with it, they even said it was something they didnt plan on adding but to judge how people react.

I understand the point of suggesting brash stuff but they’re obviously testing boundaries. I imagine you’re aware of the constant mtx they push? That being their history shows they’d keep going until something sticks. This also isn’t just rs3 and osrs, penguinz0 and askongold even covered this.
