- Despite my long break between videos I have been hitting the beach. However it's been at night and well lets face it badly lit dark videos wouldn't really cut it.
So, in this video I head to Noosa Main Beach in Queensland to do some Beach Metal Detecting.
Finding treasure is exciting and rewarding while some days you just find junk left by others. One day hoping to unearth 'The find of my life'.
You never know what you might dig up!

Wow as soon as I started thinking "Why don't you get up onto the dry sand", you did hahhaa. It was like the video was listening to me.

Thanks for the vids mate. I just got a vanquish 540 a few days ago and hit up Noosa main. Found my first piece of jewellery, a silver ring about 15 mins in. I was pretty stoked.

Mate you have got to love those pull tabs they are everywhere. Congrats on the rings and the kid's are always interested asking lots of questions, i had a kid ask me to scan his leg because he had a steel rod in his leg he thought it was great. Look forward to the next video 👍👍🍺🍺
I had an adult ask me to scan his leg once for the same reason, lol. Us detectorists get some interesting requests sometimes...
I too have scanned several people with my metal detector... best one yet is when a guy asked me to scan his body because he swallowed his girlfriends earring. He was wanting to check if he has passed it - for the record he was clear. lol Kids and tourists are very curious of what I am doing.

Wouldn't it be nice if those pull tabs magically turned into $2 coins or gold rings....you'd have that machine paid off in no time lol.
u can avoid all those bottle tops by increasing the frequency to see if the target id changes

That branch-like junk ring is actually a stunner though, the sort of thing I'd wear.. lol. hey mate, i live in Mooloolaba do just hunt with the generic beach 1/2 or do you have your own settings you could share to a budding detectorist :)
I like hunting in Beach Mode 1 and when it gets too chatty I drop the sensitivity down to 17 or 18. I also run my recovery speed a little slower than the factory settings.
Wow That's a lot of older pull tabs! What brand is you're scoop? It looks very sturdy. I get down to Noosa beach hunting a bit myself I found a girls gold chain for her the other day that was my first recovery for someone . Nice hunt might see you out hunting
Sand Scoop was purchased from Miners Den a few years ago. Love recovering peoples precious belongings. Best feeling ever. Happy Hunying

100% the NOX. It's not as heavy and is much better at finding finer gold.
