My son is a senior and submitting his college applications. I decided to watch the campus video for each school he is applying to. I have to say, this was by far the best, most inspirational video I have seen.
1974 - 1975 - 1976 - 1977 - 1978: The best years of my life spent living on the Genesee River Campus as an undergraduate student at the University of Rochester in The Flower City of Rochester, WNY. As a function of time, Rochester slowly became to my bloodstream like hemoglobin is to blood. I moved back to Rochester in 1998, 20 years after my 1978 graduation in the glorious George Eastman [Kodak] Hall Theatre of the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music. This 20 year hiatus of a hiccup was spent in the Washington ✡ DC megalopolis where I attended graduate school at Gallaudet University & slowly became swallowed up by BIG city life. BIGGER ≠ BETTER. The entire time I was living in DC, a pull from the shores of the Great Lake Ontario was building momentum within my being - like a spiritual crescendo within the musical score of my life - compelling what became my inevitable return to this undeniably GREAT CITY in WNY: where the QUALITY of life is infinitely & immeasurably light years beyond that discovered in any other city of its comparable size. Rochester has always been & forever will be one of the nation's best kept secrets, housing one of the most ░A░M░A░Z░I░N░G░ universities on planet Earth. The growth & development currently underway at the University of Rochester is a tantalizingly explosive, brilliantly planned & orchestrated, enormous [qualitative as well as quantitative] metamorphic expansion - as the direct result of the stellar engineering & leadership of our University President Joel Seligman, who in my belief & observation has done more for our Alma Mater during his tenure than all of her past Presidents' cumulative accomplishments to-date. If you haven't visited the University of Rochester in several years, return soon to see the future we dreamed of back in the '70s: unfolded & actualized in full peak bloom. MELIORA! Meliora, indeed.

Thank you for watching, Grace. Best of luck to your son in the application process!
