    Great video! I'm in my P3 year and as far as I see it, if you don't do a residency program and become a clinical pharmacist you'll be stuck in these categories. Some people are fine working retail and working their 40hr work week and heading home, while others want to be their best selves. I think what we put in is what we get out of it.

    Nice video. From the way you described in the video, you appeared to be managing your money very well. I am happy to see how you use the pharmacist income to gain independence.

    Hi Paul. Mail order pharmacist here. Right now I am proactive on my retirement plan and into index fund and etf , once in a while I have this regret of " should have done this earlier " but hey it's never too late. Everyday is a new day to begin. Thank you for sharing and inspiring people. God bless you

    Great video Paul! Really helped me demystify the various career options that pharmacists had after pharmacy school.

    You forgot to mention the other career pathway... especially for new grads starting from 2018... the pharmacists who are actively looking for pharmacist jobs but can't find anything/keep getting rejected due to lack of experience or credentials and end up driving uber or flipping burgers. Probably for life.

    In Chile is the same. In my case, after I graduate, I went to grad school, but, in Chile, there aren’t so much Pharmacists that decide for grad school, because, until now, there are a lot of positions in pharmacies and there are well payed. Thanks for your videos ✌🏻

    Instead of living in one million dollar plus home, we live in a nice home and have two other properties that add up to the price of an amazing home allowing others to help us pay towards it , great video

    Pharmacy or Dentistry?

    • @DrHongsPharmacyClassroom
      @DrHongsPharmacyClassroom 4 года назад +2

      Pharmacy and dentistry are very diffident . Dentistry is very hands-on, and require surgical skills. Pharmacy for the most part is pure knowledge base. So if you or someone you know who are deciding between pharmacy and dentistry, it really depends on what they are good at.

    Pharmacists need to learn more about Integrative Medicine and not depend on being a pawn for the pharmaceutical industry

    • @lzkrishmom
      @lzkrishmom 4 года назад +3

      To do integrative medicine, you need a MD or NPh.D willing to work with you. A pharmacist I know, who retired from CVS, started an integrative medicine practice with two friends, a physician assistant and NPh d. What amazed me is that they didn't need a MD to start their clinic. This pharmacist is seeing patients under the PA and NPh.d's license. Yes.. integrative medicine can happen if you're very lucky. It is not something where pharmacist can find a job in.
