    Great vid. Need your help. After the anchor, if my sight is slightly below the target, how do I raise the bow to align it? Do I lift the bow with my arms or tilt from my waist? Thanks guys..

    After taking a video of me drawing to my natural anchor, I noticed my fingers were so far back (halfway between chin and ear) and the string was touching the tip of my nose and the way end of my lip. I understand theres no right or wrong anchor point, but is it possible I'm drawing the bow too far back? Also, the video says you should align the string to a consistent point, but when I'm focused on my target, the string is always to the way left of my vision, but it's still aligned straight with the target. Could this be because since my string is so far back, I can't align it correctly? I use a 62 inch recurve takedown, only equipment I use is an armguard and a three finger leather glove (for string protection).

    What if the anchor point is consistent with the same area of the chin but there is no or barely any connection with string to nose.I have had target panic for the last two years and though I can draw to my chin and hold, the strong is literally mms away from my nose. I'm trying to use a clicker but it exhausts me to the point of where I get tired and sore and my aim and release is further affected

      Get a longer bow (longer limbs, longer riser or both) to improve string angle on your face. More definite face contact might help with the TP. Then get off the clicker for a little while and focus on shot timing at blank bale, with a metronome to help. Find a coach, preferably one who has been a good archer too. There are some things coaches don't know and can't help with unless they've experienced them too, although they'll tell you otherwise.

    what if don't have a sight on my bow? then how do i align?

    • @Bierzgal
      @Bierzgal 5 лет назад +1

      The RUclips video "The Push" goes quite deep into different ways of anchoring and sighting with a trad bow. I highly recommend it. But answering the question. If you shoot instinctively, you don't allign. If you gap shoot or string walk, you need to use a 2 or 3 point anchor where one of the mentioned points is the string touching the side of your nose so you can see it while you aim with the arrow tip. You will often see gap shooters and string walkers putting a plaster or a tape on the side of their nose so the string won't graze it.

    @martinconwheeler 5 лет назад +1

    yes tilting the bow will generally induce error but NOT as illustrated; if the bow is tilted to the left it moves the sight to the left but the arrow moves to a much less degree, and since the shooter is still going to align the sight pin with the bullseye he will actually be moving the arrow so as to shoot right of the target

    corner of your lip, under your eye. stay there and you wont scew up by changing your anchor point all the time.
    remeber.. accuracy is obtained by duplicating accurate shots.

    It works with olympic style archery, when you use sights. With gap shooting shooting not so much.

    • @LogicJab
      @LogicJab 6 лет назад +3

      You are correct. Gap shooting (and barebow shooting of many kinds) tend to anchor higher because it shortens the distance between the arrow and the eye. You CAN gap shoot with this anchor point, but it's going to be harder than it needs to be.

    • @Nanorisk
      @Nanorisk 5 лет назад +2

      There is no reason why you can't use this for bare bow.

    • @Bierzgal
      @Bierzgal 5 лет назад

      At our club we have a trad gap shooter that uses exactly this anchor point with pretty good results. However most string walkers and gap shooters will indeed use a more typical trad anchor on the face instead of under the chin.

      comfort is one people overlook... I'f your comfortable and always use that anchor, its just a matter of time before accuracy becomes consistant
