One inaccuracy , Canada wasn’t the one to burn down the White House , It was British regiments that sailed to DC from Bermuda that did it , Amazing video regardless

The US didn't join until germany tried to send a message to mexico saying "yo if you take out america you can get some former lands". But, britain intercepted it and showed it to america and was like "yo check this out" and the us was like "oh screw you" and then they joined. Also, they were actually rooting for germany until they started commiting atrocities.

Declared war on germany days after Britian did. The most loyal and genuine of all Britains allies. The British and Canadians sadly never get the respect they deserve. Hollywood has re written alot of history and overlooked both of them. America think French Canadians hate the British, Well he's wrong, in fact we British give French Canadians their freedom of language, religious and their culture which still there up to today.
They were still loyal to old French monarchy and hate the republicans who behead their King and even hate Napoleon too.

That is a piece of history the US forgets it was they who tried to burn down the Ottawa parliament building BEFORE their WH was barbequed. Retribution was probably sweet🇬🇧
But the war was a tie, The brits burned down the White House, then at the end we made them retreat.
@@ii_tfnwrmarmy7564 Yes it was a tie, but more to do with logistics at the time than anything.Basically, Great Britain had too much going on, fighting in Bengal India as well as France in europe. France helped you blockade British harbours and the British Government became distracted by India. If GB had concentrated on the rebellion only it would have been put down easy enough. I also think that there was another reason GB was half-hearted about putting down the rebellion was that the English had less than a hundred years before had fought the English Civil War so fighting "cousins" and many first generation settlers was not perhaps a easy decision.
