I find on fool us that the tricks that don't fool them are usually more entertaining than the fooler tricks. Both his performances are among the most entertaining on the show.
Yep. The really good magic and slight of hand, the stuff that performs awesome, Penn and Teller know all that. So with few exceptions, to "fool" them performers do worse tricks, or tricks with many different solutions, and hope that Penn and Teller miss something silly or guess wrong. Fortunately many that come on Fool Us are still willing to put on a good performance first and foremost with the goal of fooling them secondary.
Magic is part "magic" and part personality. Yeah, people are coming to see magic, but they also want to see a show. Especially for someone without theatrics, this guy does a great job of being entertaining.
@@bones343 Thats what I was thinking. For a lot of tricks that 'fool' them, it seems that there are multiple ways of performing the trick, and since penn and teller only get one shot, its not the most fair if theres 3 or 4 plausible solutions.
What a great trick! I wish the "fool us" gimmick wasn't as important as it is on the show sometimes. This trick was one of the best card tricks I've seen on the show
There are judges that watch ever show live and validate if Penn and Teller are telling the truth and can/have over ruled them at times. The judges are told the secrets to the act and P&T are not, thus if P&T lie they would be exposed. This show seems pretty honest
i don't know about that - they've given passes to some magicians who they openly admitted they knew how the trick had been done... This guy's skill level is extraordinary regardless
I may have seen every single episode of Fool Us and i can tell that to me this is one of the best card tricks on this show. I often times look for certain moves in the act but yours was good that i just sat back and enjoyed it from the very first second to the last.
Oh, after watching in slow motion, now I can see it in real time. I suspected it had to be false, because it's a magic act, but without knowing how, it looked real, but I was suspicious.
@@jakedoc4610 it means it looked like the deck was shuffled but it wasnt. He just swinged the 3 stacks of cards around but they ended up in the same position
Jimmy just has such an amazing energy. Even if I knew exactly how the tricks were done, I'd love to see him perform live. No doubt he delights Penn and Teller every time they watch him perform.
I know the ultimate goal of this show is about whether or not a "magician" fooled penn and teller or not. But as penn had said before, there are magic, and then there are juggling. To me you are one of, if not the best, card juggler that has appeared on this show before. The physical and mental juggling required to pull this trick, and the trick you performed the first time on FU, is truly truly world class. To me, a great magic trick is not one of those I can't figure out, but those that I know exactly how it is done, but I know I will never be able to perform because it is so damn hard. Absolutely amazing.
I agree, although I rewinded and found a couple things, nothing major, I was still fooled. Excellent performance. I gotta say that Richard Turner might have you beat though, no offense he is one of the best. Again not trying to diminish your act, it was great and fooled a lot of people, myself included.
I'll usually watch these again and can figure out the trick. This was done so well that I don't want to look for the trick. I want to be fooled. The presentation, energy, involvement of Allison, and the patter were all just too good.
The first half of the trick reminded me of the first couple tricks I had learnes, but turned up a couple notches. But from the king of clubs onward I was completely blown away!
I agree with Penn on this, it's tiring to see all those "set up storylines" that never pay off. It's tiring to hear people talking about something just to break the ice into a trick and never pay it off. I love the Chekhov's Gun approach to storytelling, pay off EVERYTHING you start, even if that payoff is weak, it's better than it not existing.
Along with Michael Vincent, this is the most entertaining "non-fooling" act. Beautiful performance, I have NO freakin' idea how you did it. Amazing job, good luck next time!
I still think Michael Vincent fooled them, was just to polite to say otherwise. I've watched his performance dozens of times and still dont know where he called in the cooler. I don't think he ever did.

Such a great act! More entertaining and impressive than many of the acts that actually fooled them. Wishing you the best in all your magic endeavors moving forward
Dude, I see your performance for the first time and I watch a lot of Fool Us. Easily my favorite by far. I found myself locked into a funny position, forgotten about everything I was doing, mouth open, gasping. You, my man just destroyed my world and put it back together in eight minutes and forty-five seconds. Don't ever stop doing this. You are a god ! And even though you didn't fool P&T, I watched this video 5 times and I'm not even certain that there is a deck of cards at all...
As a viewer, just wow! This trick is just a treat to watch, the commentary is so well done and the callback to the beginning felt so rewarding. Love your attitude and I hope you are proud of this performance. I wish you the best of luck as a magician, and as a father.

Brilliantly done. I can say I learned a lot from how you brought together several methods and compiled one routine. I think this is the type of card routine that’s really magical because it does have a beginning and end and you utilized this. One of the best I've ever seen!
I mean as soon as a trick like this is starting without a shuffle (not counting the initial false cut), it’s obvious that the deck is sorted.
Jeeper1378 doesn’t explain how Alyson managed to cut to a card even she didn’t know.
All the cards near the center were Queen of Clubs
Jeeper1378 how would he have set that up? Just before he starts that section he just pulls the cards together sloppily and quickly.
TheDirtyGoatee it wasn’t as sloppy as it seemed. Every exposed card up to that point was put at the top or bottom of the deck.
The previous act was crazy, and this one was so thoroughly enjoyable.
