Glad to know that my former Representative, Gallagher, abruptly resigned in the spring of 2024 for a job at... Palantir! It's scary at how interconnected government and business is. And how bipartisan it is. Anyway, I'm voting for Jill Stein, she's the anti-genocide candidate that's going to be on the most ballots and the Green Party, for all its flaws, has a long-term vision. The thing Webb says about losing access to one's finances because a website cuts you off is exactly what happened to me in 2018, when eBay stopped using PayPal and required a bank account (I had PP, but no bank account). Thus, I was no longer able to sell used auto parts to make a few extra dollars. Sucked.
Yeah because you can't set up a checking account online in like 2 minutes. I sell on ebay and PayPal is a corrupt anti. Whyte bank who were targeting "conservatives" saying they were going to fine them if they spent money on certain things. I dumped them years ago, no loss whatsoever.

There's definitely truth to what you're saying. What Webb describes is mainly relevant to tech-savvy people who actually know how to hide their identities (somewhat). If a person doesn't have those skills, and says things that rich people and their governments don't like, it's a virtual certainty that they're (we're) tracked online with a profile that includes our IRL deets.
