I made a chandelier out of wire coat hangers that holds solar lights when I had an off grid cabin . You just have to remember to put it out in the sun everyday. That may be a good simple project for the grandkids and you. Pliers, wire coat hangers and some electrical tape.
😁it’s always an emergency when I’m hungry to. 😂 Those grandkids sure did look happy eating their cotton candy, looks like you made a great investment in a good memory ❤
I agree the Sweer Chili Sauce is addicting ! Very versatile as a dip or glaze on pork, chicken, tilapia. Yum. I have 15 bottles now ! Great ideas again. 😊
Your granddaughter is so adorable sitting in the shopping cart. Handsome brother. The hand warmers I think would work well used as heat pack for strained muscles in an emergency (much cheaper than drug store heat pack). Strained my neck so I thought if this. Thanks A.G. for the idea.
One thing people always forget, chewing gum, it has many needs. 1, the air is gonna rise and fall real fast during storms need it to pop ears, it helps with anxiety ( chewing), can be used for keeping things closed such as doors, keeps things stable and put on tables or walls( think about all the gum under desk and how long it stuck there) Babies and animals will need something to chew on too.
This is a Very Special video to me. Your little Leprechauns ☘️r adorable, God bless them, and also cute Teddy. You r with the best company. Enjoy and thank you, for sharing. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all. 🙏🌷☘️👍💫👏❤️⭐️
I went to DT recently and got some Delta Home hand soap. "Kitchen Lemon". Previously I had bought some Meyer's hand soap. It turned out be $5 and I finally finished it off. I was not impressed! The Meyer's was 12.5 oz. The Delta Home is 16 oz. for $1.25.
AG: You always find great things. I didn't know they had powdered ranch dressing in a spice size container. It just goes to show that regular trips to stores like Dollar Tree can produce nice surprises. Cotton candy and kids...they always steal the show 🤗👍
If you find expired mayo in your pantry it can still be used as a hair conditioner and it is an amazing polish for houseplants! The sweet chili sauce from the Dollar Tree is sweet with some heat and I love baking chicken with it.
Sweet chili sauce is yummy glazing chicken and make homemade chicken nuggets (or premade nuggets) and dip. We brush tilapia and salmon last few minutes of cooking. My hubby puts it on Hawaiian Pizza. 🤔
I'll tell you what those little jars of miracle whip and sometimes the store brand like Dijon mustard or honey mustard are perfect for funeral homes I have made up the little Hawaiian slider sandwiches before and not put anything on them but, when the family doesn't want to leave the funeral home because there's only a day to receive visitors.. it is perfect.. I have had friends and relatives just rave and thank me.. because we live in a rural area we don't have fast food restaurants around and some of the grocery stores are 28 to 30 mi away..
@@AlaskaGrannydear Alaskan granny,. I'm sure that we were probably cut from the same cloth as we live in rural areas we've learned to help each other out.. we stand behind our community and our loved ones. But you are absolutely right, picnics, BBQs, bridal showers, baby showers and funeral homes.
I also like the small bottles of green olives from DT. They have sliced ones for doctoring up those frozen pizzas. The whole stuffed ones for salads. And Their skinny sized bottles don't take up space in my rv fridge door. I will warn that some of the bottles caps were springy in the middle as if the seal was broken. So look for a tight lid with the firm middle that doesn't move or click in & out.
I keep a 20 tote filled with everyone's favorite comfort foods from chocolate to chicken noodle soup and crackers, to fruit, no-bake cookies ingredients and favorite drinks. I even keep treats for our pets in it. And yes, stuff in that tote gets rotated as well.
Hi, AG, good haul, and beautiful grandbabies (AND Teddy, of course)! Very good prepping items. You are SO lucky - our Dollar Store doesn't carry food - when they got a few chocolate bars in last year, it was a BIG thing - big signs saying "We now have chocolate bars." Sigh. I used those closet dehydrators for all of the 13 years that I lived/ taught in S. China - with that high heat and humidity, the clothes would go moldy FAST. Alas, found out the same thing HERE - in a MUCH colder climate but with a big lake, so high humidity - my mostly cotton clothes go moldy when stored - even when hanging in my wardrobe! (An expensive but cheapo DIY one, with a cardboard back that you hammer on with little nails. A more porous fine mesh material would allow better air flow and still keep out dust & pet hair, etc. Haven't found such yet.) None of our stores (4 big grocery, 3 hardware & the dollar store & numerous other little stores) had these dehydrators (folks, be careful when they're full of absorbed water, if you haven't used them before - the water can & will spill out when you handle them). So, I made some of my own - "instructions" on Rain Country vid, I believe - coffee filters + pure silica cat litter + fold into little packets & staple together - works to absorb moisture/ odors. Can be slipped in wherever you need them. Get NON-scented silica cat litter if you want to use in food cupboards/ storage boxes. Hope this helps folks like me who don't have ready access to such products. Re: the DT lights - haven't found them here, but did find a (much more) expensive brand at our local hardware shop - motion activated. So, when I go down the unlit external basement stairs entrance, the light comes on for me both in & out, and the auto-shut-off is adjustable, so no waste of battery energy. Cheers, AG & All!
I found the red alkaline DT batteries last a very long time. Long story, but I need to use them alot. And those red alkaline ones are great. The blue ones, not so much.
Some appliances require high drain batteries. $Tree has them. I use $Tree batteries in my flash lights and remote control and they last a year or more. I have a tens unit that requires high drain batteries and the ones from the $Tree work for hours in it.
AG did you hear that they are going to close 1000 Family Dollars and Dollar Trees across this country. It’s not surprising the way prices are so high on everything. Our gas here went from 2.99 to 3.59 this week. Ugh
We live in a suburb northwest of Denver and the Dollar Tree not far from us closed. We’re not in a high crime area but nowadays even a nice area is experiencing unexpected rise in crime unfortunately. They told us they sold the building and no plans to open another store. This store was always busy but was becoming more and more poorly stocked so we felt something was happening.
I was at my nearby Dollar Tree when a man took his cart out the door without paying for it. Shoplifters have gotten more brazen due to Calif's soft-on-crime policy. I wonder whether our store will be one of the ones closed.
@@joycedagostino6074 wow! I did not read what areas were closing. Just said 1,000 stores across the country would close. I hope ours don’t but then again, how can DT make any money with their cheap prices? Everything is so costly here now. Ugh 😮
Do you think you could snip the package (not the product) of hot hands and vacuum seal them to take out the oxygen? Would that make them last longer? Your grandkids are so cute 🥰
I'm just saying....I'm headed towards 50 and I WANNA GO SHOPPING WITH GRANNY. That "Moisture eliminator" I try to keep one or 2 in the closet where I hand my leather jackets (Motorcycle gear) Seriously...a wonder to stop the funk from growing on sweat soaked gear in a closed space. Great tips on the hothands. I had plenty that went bad just sitting in storage.
I used to make a Thai sweet chili dipping sauce similar to what you bought if you can't find that sauce. Combine 1 t minced garlic, 1/2 t minced chili or chili paste (or red chili flakes to taste), 4 T sugar, 4 T water, 1/4 t salt, 6 T vinegar. Boil for 5 minutes until reduced to 6 T.
Teddy looks SO comfy in the background, enveloped in a soft fleecy throw❗️
