- The start of a new weaving project. The pattern is from Margurite Davison's book, "A Handweavers Pattern Book", page 154, "Sara Liz". This is the first of a couple of videos of that weaving project.
I always learn something new from you videos. Thank you!
This was excellent. A great overview of the process. I especially loved your explanation of the software, it was very easy to follow you. Thank you so much for the extra time that took to do!
You're very welcome!
thank you for another great video.
Lovely pattern...! Lovely colors...!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you so much for showing all this! Changing heddles is arduous, and this is a great solution! I appreciate your videos!
Love whole video :pattern, colors, set. Up of heddles like sitting downtown my favorite meal
Threading heddles is considered by some to be a very boring tedious task, I don't mind it, but one must be careful to not screw it up.
So nice. I love the sounds of weaving as well, don't ask me why. It's going to be absolutely gorgeous, as always!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for sharing. Especially in the Tempo weave software. I was asking myself by changing the position of the warp, the tie up must change also. How is it done, and by looking closer at the video, I realized that the tie up changed automatically. Wonderful! Thank you again and I wish you and your family a Happy New Year. Bye
Yes the tie-up does change automagically, I forgot to mention that in the video.
Thanks for sharing. 😊
Thanks for showing us those programs. I can't wait to get my floor loom!
Happy weaving - what loom are you getting?
Yep, share. What are you getting?
Lovely presentation, it made the shaft sharing easy to understand.
Glad you think so!
Love that pattern!
Happy New Year.
As a teacher/tutor, I am always looking for creative ways to curse without cursing. A first class pain in the seat of the pants made my day. And you’re talking about one of my favorite kind of weaving the second project I ever did on any kind of floor loom was an overshot project. My first project on my new spring 2 Will be some thing that only uses one shuttle because I’d like to see if I can develop a rhythm with the new loom, but probably after that I’m going into overshot and playing for a while. What’s your opinion on overshot for clothing fabric?
My favorite "curse" (beside "frack" and "felgercarb" from "Battlestar Galactica" (the original) was "mik'ta" from "Stargate SG-1". "Aries Bock: And O'Neill, you're considered a pain in the mik'ta. O'Neill: Neck? T'ealc: No."
Oh, and tempoweave is done with the Beta testing and no longer offering it. The final phase is being worked on and should be available soon. :)
I've been on their beta version for a few years, and plan to buy the full program when it becomes available.
@curmudgeon66 I do too, if it's compatible with my systems.
I'll be honest, I have days my brain refuses to thread heddles. I have given in to those days as I have learned that fighting it just causes error after error. But I agree, moving the heddles is a royal pain in the butt.
