- Opening and closing idents from BBC Video in 1981 featuring an arrangement of the 'marching' tune for strings, rather than the synth or brass variants. I hadn't heard this version before. Taken from the 'Treasures Of The British Crown' laserdisc. Does anyone know if this was used on anything else?
This logo is so 80's that I can already feel the leg warmers
The only thing that sucks about this is the laser rot, which is unfortunately something nobody can control and is part of the aging.
I've this version on a Doctor Who video. But it's more majestic, yet electronic synth sounding.
You forgot the word "seen" between "I've" and "this version".
@Shay McCusker It's from 1981
I like this orchestral version
NIce upload and the quality is great too. Sounds a bit better than the trumpet version I think.
NWOConspiracyGroup I hate the trumpet ident because it's not a very nice tune.
definitely used on an "All Creatures" video.
I like the softer violin outro jingle
HiFi VHS crackle, means tracking slightly out or worn HiFi VHS heads or worn tape.
Used for Hoppity Goes to Town.
I wish it was like that on all videos instead of the horrible trumpet music.
Me Too because it sounds like in a dangerous war battle zone. But violins and marching band is very catchy.
Shay McCusker I don't understand what you mean.
It sounds good
Sounds like music from Doraemon.

1981-1988
0:44 MCMLXXXI = 1981
PR Art Video anyone?
0:44 *MCMLXXXI*
M=1000
CM=1000(M)-100(C)
LXXX=50(L)+10(X)+10(X)+10(X)=80
I=1
*MCMLXXXI=1000(M)+900(CM)+80(LXXX)+1(I)=1981*
too bad this theme isn't perfect for the bbc video star from 1981 to 1988
thomas hewitt If your thinking about the trumpet version. It's a horrid one because it's tune is not very nice and catchy.
