This girl is shitting all over those other car youtubers. I end up skipping through most of the other's videos because it's mostly utter drivel. This was just excellent. A true petrolhead.
Becky - I'm probably around your Dad's age so this video, the car and the contents of the glove compartment take me way back...we had a Rootes garage close by and I remember seeing these cars in the showroom. Great that you are so close to your Dad and share his love of cars. What a wonderful video - watching this made my day - you (and your Dad) are a natural on camera !
Thank you! I love reading comments like this. Glad that I can speak to the older audience, my dad is a real inspiration to me and one of the major reasons I do what I do. I have listened to all his stories as I was growing up about the cars he has had and raced. Thank you for your kind words, I will show daddio your message :) x
Hi QB Just discovered your channel. This is such a great video. Love the way Dad takes the mick out of you on camera he is obviously very proud :) The F-Pace video is good too and will be even better as you experience more cars and have more in the memory bank to compare and be more objective. Hope the YT cash gets you your dream car !
Sweet. Cool. Very precious. A lovely insight with your great very sound top guy Dad. Great reaction when he explains he writes the drag racing rule book. Petrol in family DNA. Brilliant.
Enjoyed that, yep my father is reason why I'm into cars also, auto crossing, sports car racing, was always with him when I was a kid, thanks for a great video.
Was wondering who you were on some of the other guys vids, watched two of your videos and already prefer your content above the others! I mean I still enjoy there's but this kind of thing is more what cars are about. Doesn't matter what it is so long as the cars are enjoyed! Glad I read Misha's description box thing now haha! Keep it up!
I actually really love your videos [when you upload ;-)] there is just something that sets them apart from the rest, it comes from the heart I guess.. Keep up the good work! :)
Awesome content Becky. I can really relate to you after this video. My dad and I are in the process of restoring a '71 Beetle. Just finished cleaning the engine today :) Keep posting videos like this!
this is cool. At first I was hesitant and thinking - this is gonna be a another cute instagram-model-type chick that is hoping to attract male audiences with her pretty face. A nice supprise, that you know your stuff and are indeed enthusiatic about cars, and would probably be faster around the track then me :) Subscribed.
Funny listening to you both banter back and forth and the swing music in the background, then dad basically says you were interested in the boy's, priceless 😂
@@BeckyEvans Good old pops, you have any plan's for your classic? Just getting into the classics and would love to see a car like your's mounted to the v10 m5 running gear. Classic looks with all the modern amenities, and I'm sure you will have seen driftworks v10 m3 that sound pwhoar I'd be chasing the sound than the opposite gender haha.
That's amazing.. you really come from some amazing motorsports family.. I can see where your passion for cars comes from.. and you can see how your dad just loves what he does.. passion is catching.. your auto blog with this video.. finally shows out who you are.. great job
I’ve just started watching your vids recently and love them! But thought YO! I’ve seen you before! 🤔 then watched this vid! I was the first junior drag bike racer and recognise you from a kiddo at pod, anyway keep the vids up 🤙🏼 x
You're great inspiration for others that love cars, but possibly, feel intimidated by the other car vlogger-youtubers with their posh accents and 200k supercars...pave the way for more realistic content, that 95% of us can relate to, I started a Facebook page simply to fill that void. I'm gaining the confidence to reconsider a youtube channel, but like you Becky I have a full time job and family, so consistency with uploads could be a subscription issue with a possible fan base, but if they 'get' you and understand your passion, those fans will be coming back for more of that 'real' motoring passion. Just put the order for the McLaren 570s on hold for a while. Us car nuts in our 10 year old Golf Gti's want a look in. And I love your e21 Bimmer, that is cool...
Continued...And to add to my original comment, this was such an engaging video, it was interesting hearing about your dad's history and how its shaped your passion for cars...we need more of this type of stuff, not 'Supercar shopping' tales, its ok if you're 12 and think that Ferraris and Lambos make good daily runners, well they don't...and after a while, the 200k supercar vloggers just alienate the car scene... Its not about the money you spend, its the passion that these pieces of metal stir within us. I have a new vlogger to gain my inspiration from... Keep up the great work Queen B...looking forward to your next video.
At first, you said the name of the car quickly, and it sounded like one word. I took a frame grab of the back of the car and saw SINGER. I did a little research on Singer Motors Limited and went back to the video and discerned that you weren't saying a new french word that I hadnt heard, but in fact you were saying Singer Vogue. I dont believe that Singer Motors Ltd ever sold vehicles in Canada (although im sure there are a couple), but after looking at some images I thought the Singer Chamois Coupe would make an interesting custom car. It has a very nice fastback and good room for a cage, perhaps trim and tub the wheel wells a bit. My father is British, so we did have a few British cars growing up like a late 60s Rover 2000, and a mid 70s Ford Capri with the V6 , round headlights and the cool map reading light mounted to the inside A pillar. The Capri was fondly known as the donut machine by us kids and our friends, as during the winters dad would take us out in the good handling Capri and us the giant suburban mall parking lots to slide around in the ice and snow (I had the cool Dad), and during the rest of the year we'd head up north of our area onto country roads for some spirited driving. Unfortunately, that car was sold for more boring North American transportation when I became of age to drive in the mid 80s. The country was to full of big boxy domestic fair, with heavy but low powered V8s, which were very survivable in moderate speed crashes but very unappealing to the eye. I still think my favorite of my fathers cars was his second childhood Honda Accord 2 door Coupe 4th Generation (1991). He did some nice modifications to the cars suspension and had aftermarket bbs cross spoked rims with low profile tires. The car was slightly lowered and handled very nicely. The engine was a 2.0 litre, and I always bugged him to get a turbo for the car since the Honda's are built fairly stout, but honestly it moved out quite well. Its best asset was that models visibility, and the feeling that you were in a big go-cart. There were no blind spots and very minimal pillars to get in the way, and the whole package made it a very easy and relaxed driving experience. Dad bought another Accord Coupe years later. I gravitated to the Toyota trucks myself, lots of off road fun and exploring in Canada, and otherwise good on gas the rest of the time. I like the unstoppable little trucks for our snowy winters, not to mention that the smaller width fits down some pretty small trails if you want to get lost and find a Sasquatch off the beaten path.
Phil's work for the tech committee and the SPRC doesn't get enough credit. A big thank you from the racers. Good work with the channel Becky, keep up the good work.
Wow !! A Singer Vogue !!! My dad had a (super-rare) '69/'70 Hillman GT. Only made for a year then became the Hillman Hunter GT, as it got a few more luxuries on top of the original Minx-spec GT.
I've only just found this channel, and it's so refreshing to watch something like this. Old custom vehicles, dads and drag racing etc lol Most of my time growing up was spent at what was formerly Avon Park ;)
Great video love the history behind the Singer and your relationship with your Dad. Nice to see an HRG sticker on the Singer. Always wanted an E21 certainly on my list when my 325ti Compact goes (if I find her a good home).
absolute respect (even though he got absolutely smoked tbh) for your dad, i mean how many people can say they are rocking hard doing drag races at this age !!! wow
Fantastic vid Becky, looks like a top day out with your dad! Very professional looking video, nicely put together and much better content than the crap some car vloggers are coming up with. We see too much supercar flashing and not enough of stuff like this :) Dan
That's so awesome that you and your dad have the same passion for cars and racing. My father drag races, as did I. I built my first car at 10 years old. But I couldn't drive it. LOL! You best of luck to both you and your dad.😎
Great video, and a great interview with your Dad. it shows that you have a real passion from a really early age and it runs in the family. I do wonder about Tim, Sam et al and would love then to interview their Dads who seem to be 'loaded' Keep up the great work
This was freaking great. I love the relationship between you and your pops. You genuinely have a love for cars which is rare for women on RUclips. Hopefully you can inspire more women in the car scene to put out content like this.
a real nice vid, well presented, no attitude or ego, i drag bikes and thats like a big family, lending and borrowing parts, the idiots soon get rooted out, nice one lady
Such a sweet video, Becky. Your dad, what a legend
Such a great history behind the car. Would love to hear the story of your Dad working for Rolls Royce back in the day!

Enthusiasm and dignity on RUclips. Didn't know that was possible. Thank you.

Your Dad rocks and you are gorgeous lol!

Enjoyed that, yep my father is reason why I'm into cars also, auto crossing, sports car racing, was always with him when I was a kid, thanks for a great video.
Your dads a utter legend, great guy with a real passion for racing.....nice work!!
Cool video, your dad's singer is a real nostalgia trip, back to a time when people built cars with what they found rather than off a shelf! Subbed :)
Your dad is cool!

great content, please upload more videos.... you have a real passion for cars, very rare for a women.. cheers
I love the E21. Have 1 my self a 2.0 /6 from 1981
Forget the supercars, it's all about the classic BMW e30 3 series and classic race cars back in the day. Those cars are the real man cars.
Funny listening to you both banter back and forth and the swing music in the background, then dad basically says you were interested in the boy's, priceless 😂
Ahhh that’s my pops haha
