Do people even mention that Tamaki develops in Season 2? From my recollection of the show, which is a little fuzzy. I thought she remained consistently terrible and just used for exposition and fanservice. Great analysis; I've been binging this and your MHA essay and it's real good inspection, I love the MauLer inspo in your recurring snippets too.
I'd absolutely love to watch a video of you talking about jujustu kaisen good or (bad?) parts 😭😭 it's nice to see how deep you go into the talks about these and it kinda helps me with my own writing

Reminder that if you only watch season 1 of MHA the characters will feel consistent, it’s difficult to maintain consistency for years releasing weekly chapters( especially when the workload hurts the health of the writer) so will see how the seasons develop.
I agree with a lot of this video and just wanted to add my two sense on one part, for me episodes went by too quickly, not in the sense of time flying when you're having fun but more so that every episode was introducing something without letting the past event have some time to set in. For example episode 1 introduces Shinra as a new recruit and we see him go on one mission that same episode, the very next episode we are introduced to Arthur, moving the focus away from Shinra and having to stop and introduce Arthur. While this form of spreading out events is cool, it keeps on moving after all, I think it would've been better if they gave us an extra episode of Shinra being the one newie. For example move the events to have it so Arthur joins during the exams and let Shinra be the only rookie there when he learns that he needs to be more sensible to the families left behind to be a hero. This goes for most things in the series and while it doesn't drastically destroy it, it did affect my vieweing experience
Im a diehard fire force fan. i love it but holy god just ignore Tamaki's existence. Sure she has less fan service moments (due to her not having much screentime) but her character is awful. its gotten to the point where im thinking of making a youtube video myself going into detail about how she might be the worst character ive ever seen in media.
I just remembered that scene in the manga, at like the final arc of the series. It was so bad, like it really just took me off the show after that, still finished the series and I love it but that entire scene with Tamaki and basically the author self inserting themselves as a boy talking to his mom about how fanservice is beauty, is just terrible.
The fanservice stuff gets *even* worse in the manga to the point the creator makes a cringy self insert character to defend his obsession with showing naked young girls in his series 😭
