God I always loved the bull T. rex design with the different types of green and that was always my favorite design and not a boring tan and brown design but overall great job on the custom
Ur work is always improving bro. I was telling my wife, while she was watching this video with me, that when it come to videos like this ur channel is the only I dedicate to. She really loves ur work as much as I do.
Amazing!! Havent picked up an airbrush in years. My lil nephew and niece fucked up one of my iwata guns and I haven't gotten around to fixing it or replacing the parts on the badger gun. But you've inspired me to pick them up again! I have I'm so hyped to getting something like this done!!!!!
Welp, this really makes me want to seriously repaint my Extreme Chompin' T-Rex. I still have to get and extra one and some more painting supplies for that. X3 Awesome video! :D
An AMAZING job, as usual! These really look like maquettes from the film itself. Awesome, jusT awesome. I'd love to see this LW Rex next to your Rexy from JP.
You are very talented. I wish I had amazing painting skills like you. When I try to do a repaint a jurassic world fallen kingdom toy it looked like hasbro painted it.
Just for a little terminology info, the pebble-like scales on the face are called scutes (pronounced skyoots). Basically any prominent, thickened scale is a scute, like those on crocodile skin, turtle/tortoise shells, and bird feet. A similar term is osteoderm, these mean bones embedded in the skin covered in horn material. The bumps on ankylosaur armor are an example of osteoderms, as are the bumps on a crocodile's back.
They should totally make a legacy bull Rex to go with the release of the spinosaur, Also do you think you could the legacy pachycephalosaurus painted like the lost world film. Just something I'd love to see.
Jurassic Repaints - it's just bits and pieces of things I've built over the years. The main base is from my Kenner JP gates display, and the Para carcass is from the Lost World baby trex repaint I did.
@@JPcompound At around 2:19 & 2:34 I see two different kinds of greens on the Extreme Chompin' T-Rex and I always thought that Olive green is the main color for the Buck from TLW, but I'm not so sure What's the actual main green Color of the Buck T-Rex, from TLW and it's always been on my mind because, TLW T-Rex is my favorite and I love it's designs and color green type (if I knew what kind of green it was in the movie TLW) I also love the patterns of TLW T-Rex So my question to you @Jurassic Park Compound is that At around 2:19 & 2:34 what kinds of greens did you uses if it's not Olive green as the main color? I love your channel BTW!!
I was wondering if youd ever consider doing a tutorial to enhance the teeth of the extreme chomping trex like you did for the indo raptor? I like the look of the Mattel teeth but they are too rounded off imo. I love your work and keep up the good work.
I love the way you made this legacy extreme chomping t-rex look like the bull rex from the film, is there a way you could do a Mattel stegosaurus repaint & make look like the one's from the lost world.
It doesn't seem like all that long ago you barely had 3000 subs..... you're channel is growing! You deserve it though! (still wished your videos were longer, though lol!) =)
Is it possible to send figures in to be customized and made as amazing as the work you do. The only reason I don’t try it myself is that I don’t want to ruin a perfectly good figure as I don’t exactly know what I’m doing.
I think the paints may run me more money than the dam Trex itself. Lol you think it would be a good option to just use the cheap paints all around(besides the primer and sealer that is) ??
Have you thought about doing a feet mod? The big feet are the only thing that bothers me on the Mattel Rexes - otherwise they'd be perfect. I was imagening to cut the lower part of the legs of a broken Red Rex and glue them onto either a Thrash n Throw or a Chompin Mattel Rex. Of course balance could become an issue then but nothing that couldn't be fixed with some small weights inserted into the tail.
If this IS Buck, Why doesn't he have his deep scarring on the right side of his face? Either than that great job on the paint and the colors really match Buck from TLW, it just needs the red-ish pink scars on it don'cha think?
Bro, I love what you do just one quick question, is it possible to drybrush the whole thing, like I am 16 and my parents won't allow me to get the airbrush thingy, plus I don't really want the t-rex to be too shiny if you know what I mean, plus I sometimes pose it and play with it, and I wonder if there is a way to keep the paint from easily scratching off, plus what paint and primer would you recommend me getting, like I like darker realistic colors, but not to realistic, just the right amount of realism to distinguish it to be a toy. Please Resond, I am a bit lost.
Bumblebee Yeah, you can drybrush the entire thing. Just prime it black first and then build your colors up from darkest to lightest. As for paint rubs, it's gonna happen if you're messing around with the articulation a lot. But, since you're drybrushing it, you probably don't have to worry too much about it since drybrush layers are so light and thin. I've never had any issues with paint rubbing off of anything I've fully drybrushed before. To be safe, you can always seal it with some Liquitex matte varnish.
First off um.. if you're not too busy, could you explain what Liquitex is, and how I should use it, like I know I could search it up, but we are talking about customizing wise, and second off why black primer specifically, and what kind of black primer I should use? And what Colors should I use for the base body, underbelly and secondary for the back.
Bumblebee - Liquitex is a clear sealer used for permanently sealing paint to protect it. As for colors: black acrylic primer/paint is best if you're drybrushing because I provides natural shadows and makes the model look more realistic. I have other videos you could watch that will explain it better. It's a lot to explain. This is the very first thing I ever painted when I first started painting: ruclips.net/video/mp2e8rxgFkA/видео.html This is just a video showing how to start dry brushing. Drybrushing: how-to ruclips.net/video/rdVWfnKKN-I/видео.html My suggestion before you paint something large like the T-rex is to start small with a raptor or something. Practice on that and get comfortable with drybrushing.
Yes, you are right, the Trash N Throw is on scale with the rest of the series. Like you said, the legacy rex is smaller and it doesn't fit with the Indoraptor nor the Carnotaurus.
Hyena It towers over the extreme chomping! if you go onto jurassic_repaints ig and scroll down to where he has pictures and videos of the spinosaurus youll see that its pretty huge
I love how you painted this. I also love your new Ted Bros intro
I'm F'ng speachless. You know how good this is
My favorite look and color pattern of T. rex, I could cry tears of happiness!
It’s unbelievable what a paint job can do

Your paint jobs are the best!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Mattel should hire you as there painter this is amazing looking
