The piano is shaking. The stage is shaking. The audience is shaking. And he's playing at three million beats per minute while looking the other way. Amazing.
Yup, watch some Hiromi, Tom and Jerry is a good one of hers. She's always looking at the ceiling and crankin around. Jazz, not boogie woogie, but some very cool stuff.
I just can't fathom how the brain can handle all those keys that fast while the left hand is doing it's own thing. I'm a guitarist and people who don't play the guitar probably say the same thing about us.
I can't get over this, I keep returning to this video. This is without doubt my favorite piece Luca has ever produced. It might be my favorite piano piece ever. The work on this is just phenomenal. Insane.
Luca: You are an extraordinary talent. I just now discovered your playing, and my 1st impression was of a young Oscar Peterson. You seem to have it all: nimble fingers, a creative mind, impeccable time keeping and powerful hands. I enjoyed this performance immensely.
I mean he’s good at what he does but come on, there are many young artists that are far better and actually can be in a way compared to Peterson. I have an overwhelming impression that he’s very repetitive and stuck in a pentatonic scale, which most definitely can’t be said about Peterson.
I smile at the joy you get from playing. I have been listening to Boogie Woogie since 1950 from Pine Top, Ammons, Meade Lux Lewis, Dr. John, The Tipitina players and, for me, Europeans have run with the Boogie. Luca, your rhythm and technique are superb. Thank you.
My wife loves your piano playing & singing. She couldn't believe you when you were 14 playing and now you are amazing.Thank you. R Thayer, NC. 6-13-2020
I've been following your piano playing since the days of "Swanee River Boogie Woogie" and I can say I still enjoy your music. even more and more! Thanks for sharing.
Just saw Luca LIVE in Newport, KY tonight. In a word he's simply "AMAZING". Thanks for posting these performances and sharing your talents with so many who aren't fortunate enough to see you in person.
This is the 12th time I hear and see this, and I still do not believe he is from this planet!! What a talent, how can he be so good at such a young age..!
That's an absolutely IMPOSSIBLE left hand. Luca somewhat reminds me of the ridiculous abilities of Erroll Garner, who could have two distincly different things going in both hands which none the less were part and parcel of one another. Impossible impossible impossible Left hand. Amazing.
Just returned from New Orleans after seeing the documentary about Booker...Henry Butler played "Dr. James" at the after party...yes, he has soul, but Luca you really did a superb rendition on that piece as well as this one! Thank you for the delightful music!!
Hallo Luca Sestak Schaue immer wieder gerne bei dir vorbei und höre rein. Dieses Stück gefällt mir sehr! Es groovt und macht an zu spielen. Die Basshand ist einfach sehr locker. Einfach saubere Sache! Gruss Alexander Schmid
My man - how far you've come since the Sinlent Night in blues video from 2008! This looks like second nature to you, man. Originality all over the place! I like the genre too - Joogie Wazz. 'Cause that's what it is. Wow.
Excellent! I don't know if Luka will see this, but I Wonder if He ever saw the Movie, "A Song Is Born"? There is a Black Piano Player by the name of Buck Washington who does some Boogie Woogie playing like this. It's Awesome! I think Luca would get a Kick out of it!
This is still one of my favourite boogie woogie videos because at 2:20 into the video, once you start hitting that bass rhythym again, you just let yourself get lost in the music and let your soul do the talk through the music and as any musician or artist will say, true art is created from the soul and the sheer quality of this performance is the perfect example of proof of that. Great video Luca and new subscriber right here.
That jazzy soul blues bit or how ever you call it at the start is so nice. I love that kind of stuff, does anyone know what exactly it is called the little intro riff he played at the very start of the video before the boogie came on?

Love it too, but that "House of the Rising Sun" of his...I don't know. That is definitely my favorite cover of that song.

I think he definitely got most of inspiration from Vince Weber. One of the greatest boogie woogie and blues pianoplayers of all time.
He is still very young, especially in this video. Just gave him the time to improve because he has an amazing set off skills
@@naturalbornhuman3450 Wow. You're so wrong.

An absolutely INSANE left hand. The guy would have to be left-handed. His right's no slouch but his left hand is to die for.
All I will say is his fingers are dancing creating a musical poem. Thank you, thank you. At one stage I heard the base playing.

If you like him - order his cd - 'Lost in Boogie'. It's great!
