      Of course. It's a Yamaha. Screw Steinway! Although, the mic makes this piano sound like a Yamaha CP70 or CP80, electric pianos Yamaha introduced in 1978.

      @BrawndoQC 5 лет назад +2

      @@victoza9232 Yeah, I think this is a Yamaha Grand CFX. They sound very bright, metallic and crisp. Just perfect for this piece. Cost around 250,000 USD haha.

    • @victoza9232
      @victoza9232 5 лет назад +3

      @@BrawndoQC Actually, the list price for a CFX is $179,999, but this is not at all what a CFX should sound like. A CFX sounds vastly better than this. The metallic sound in this video is more a factor of mic placement and mixing, and not the piano itself.

      @@garymoeller892 yeah boogie generally (more so less this) must have nasty-looking sheet music. Or they've come up with their own shorthand for some things, or just leave some of the details to the imagination of the player.
      Great Balls of Fire is the closest to a proper boogie I ever played, and I would hate to see sheet music that actually wrote out every note. It would be the worst way to learn it.

    I first saw Luca a few years ago on RUclips playing piano as a teen and was impressed. Then later and a bit older and still I was impressed, but thought then that that was probably it for him and his creativity. THEN I saw him play this Live Duo...he brought tears to my eyes wishing I could play like that when I was his age. Wow.

      +Robert ~ Yes, that's part of what I was talking about. That whole 'double staccato' sequence that begins @ 2:45 and ends @ 3:25. Goosebumps! Now that you brought me back here, I'll be looping this yet again. : )

      +Ilona ~ Holy cow, you are right. I stand corrected. Good eye. Do you play? I used to, and yet he is so fast that I missed it - I actually had to slow the video down to see it. Thanks for bringing me back here again. This duo is just phenomenal.

    I came here to change my mood. And change my mood I did. That engaging relentless rhythm reminded me that hammers hit strings - the piano is as much a percussion instrument as a tuneful one.
