    Sept.13, 2024 I just came across Elley on Utube today this is about the 9th episode I've watched today learning a lot being a desert rock hound here in a special place / area in the Mojave Desert of California Lucerne Vly. The back side of Big Bear mountain it's got different minerals and metals and now I know a lot more about the stuff I've found in my yard and surrounding locations thanks Elley for your knowledge and super cool personality I'm going to be watching all I can find of your channel... One question ? You camera goes in & out of focus alot what are you using to record video ? And the color is not vibrant I would like to get sharper specimen pics. So I can understand what you have, and see you clearer too. Thx Jeff X

    Omg! Frozen Gold just popped up and I was like: “It’s Elley!” Haha. Also, whoa… you could have died on that hike up to the ruby mine and then that guy was a real piece of work when it came time to parting ways with any gems. If that were my claim and you spent an entire day boating and hiking all the way there, then you’d be taking your own haul home with you. Should have left him with his $10 rock and said “No thanks man. You need it more than me.”
    Beware of greedy miners! That sure was rude of him to use your free labor for his own personal benefits!
    Edit: Wow that was super cool of you to gift your team a bunch of rubies! That was very generous of you!

    I know I’m a year late but what was the cost and reason for visiting Greenland? I want to go but not sure how to plan for it.

    Absolutely beautiful.....you made it look so serene....I noticed that there was no vegetation or marine life in the hot spring...is it too acidic or lacks oxygen?....your comments and those of others that I've heard that were on the trek appeared to imply that this venture was a disorganized flop. One of your best videos

    • @ElleyKnowsRocks
      @ElleyKnowsRocks  2 года назад

      The venture was a success-ish. I loved being in Greenland, but definitely needed my space away from camp. If you haven’t had a chance to see the TV show that was created I hope you watch some of it. I advertise it on my RUclips. And I’m so glad you like the video.

    A hot spring is above body temp. A warm spring is below body temp, but above groundwater temp.

    • @ElleyKnowsRocks
      @ElleyKnowsRocks  2 года назад

      True. And this one only reaches about 88° so they call it a warm hot spring over there in Greenland when we know it as a warm spring. :)

    I've been to a spa that was all built around geothermal water in Saskatchewan. It was very salty tho, not like that clear water in these springs.

    Fantastic scenery and a great video. I'm too much of a desert rat, not so sure if I would have been able to handle the temperature there. Heck I break out my long johns if it gets below 50 degrees here in Phoenix.
