Mrs Prabhu is an amazing cook and also great host. You can tell the passion for her food from the way she is excited to talk about her recipes. Namma kudlas pride ❤️
Such a gracious woman Komal is! I have watched innumerable episodes of this channel but nobody gives out recipes that get them fantastic business. This woman is something - sincere, confident, unpretentious and utterly adorable. Kudos to you, lady! You rock!! 🙌🏻😍
After seeing this episode believe me I have made up mind to visit mangaluru and try all the restaurants serving sea food. Maharaja anyway is my fav place along with Machli and Narayana. Nowhere you get fish delicacies as in Mangalore. Miss you Mangalore
Ms. Komala is very passionate on food. Food quality, preparation and presentation is super. Request maharaja management (if they are watching the comment ) to open one more hotel in Bangalore.
Food Speak is all about the art of Telling a Story….& Boss does Kripal excel at it? The ability to articulate the riot of Flavours as they explode on his palate is really involving….though am a die hard Vege I still watch these episodes simply to pick up cues which are adaptable to Vege Dishes….Way to go Sir.Take a bow & raise a toast….
Reminds me of the few months i spent at Panambur Port in 1990. This place didn't exist then probably...but remember my favourite "Bhootai" (sardines) fish coming out fresh from the sea... straight into the port canteen. Loved the Bhootai masala fry...or sometimes the rava fry.😋
Great episode. Enjoyed thoroughly. Really pleasing host who is very confident of her craft. Kripal you made our day. Now rushing to kitchen to look for some thuppa to toss up with my yesterday's left over chicken.
*Komal overpowered not only the smell of fishes to aroma, also beautifully marketed, curated and subtly coaxes to try more the Hingu laded delicacies 😇Kripal does justice in this episode and every episode* 🙌🏼
I've tried this ghee roast, this review is true and cant compare with any ghee roast recipe, kudos to team maharaja :D and kripal amanna for covering this episode.
Loved this journey, as always. Unfortunate, I didn't explore Mangalore food scene. Went there to attend a marriage in Gokarna temple & had vegetarian food. All others, In Hotel Orbit, where I had stayed. Food there, was tasty too.
This is a regular place I have been visiting whenever I'm in Mangalore for last 20 years. If anyone loves coastal home made GSB food. This is the place. All the fish dishes are amazing here and you don't get the fish smell either unlike other places I have eaten. Besides Ghee Rost, I love their Crab Masala with Beer and for meal Boiled Rice with Bhangudae ( Mackerel) Panna upkari . I have recommended this place to all my friends and they all have loved it.
Another Delicious and Mouth watering journey. A perfect start to the Weekend. Mr. Kripal's videos have inspired me once again to cook food once again after so many years since my Student Life.
The way the video is made that leaves no stone unturned to explain in detail about the cooking talent of Komal Prabhu (vegetarian in general and non vegetarian in particular) who hails from a GSB family which is supposed to be a Brahmin community. I doubt if even a traditional non brahmin community (specifically mentioning this because brahmins are vegetarians by tradition) can cook with such speciality. She has instant answers for all the questions put to her by Mr. Kripal because she has mastered cooking to the extent of deserving a Doctorate. I have tasted varieties of non vegetarian food in Maharaja whenever I visited Mangaluru and used to wonder how they are able to surprise our taste buds with different kinds of wonderful tastes that are so heavenly as if God has Blessed the chef with a special boon. Hats of to the video maker and Mrs. Kamal Prabhu for this wonderful and delightful video.
Mrs Komal's expression shows her passion for innovating and preparing the non- vegetarian dishes. Tempted to rush to Maharaja from Vadodara for enjoying the dishes. Last time I visited I didn't know which one to select. This interview by food lover is very useful. Thanks.
During my last trip to Mangalore, I caught up with this affable restaurateur while she introduced me to the making of her style of the chicken ghee roast, and a rather unique dish, the boothai (sardine) nippat. Hope you enjoy this episode. Take care, stay safe and strong. Happy eating. No words to express about the food severed. My option for the sardine curry, and next chicken roast. Thanks for the amazing video and the presentation. If we get the recipe of sardine curry will surely try it in kochi. Awaiting your great post with different food soon.
