All that lovely engineering and they still can't avoid the toes sticking out the end of the truck. Even the studio series version could do that.
I think they were going for a g1 kinda look for the truck.

Hindsight and all that but you can just see how fidgety this piece is every time he touches it... After transformation, even touching the head makes the entire chest and upper body wobble. He scoots it away from the camera and it looks ready to fall over.

Why did Prime's AXE become like his signature weapon? He only had it in ONE episode in the original G1 cartoon! and ever since then, it is featured in almost every toy and character

You'd think one of the companies would have released a nemesis or SG repaint by now and make a killing... something, anything to make their version different than all the others.
Sirtoys has a listing for a nemesis version of the studio series 38 optimus.
AOYI made the ko black version of SS 38, I got mine on EBay for less than $20 shipped and it looks awesome. That body style in black just looks EVIL. Chefatron has a review for it, in case you're interested
Yes I have the 1:1 KO. I meant these companies making oversized and modified or own versions should do repaints as well.
ThreeA made a Nemesis version, but only 1000 pieces I believe. I tried getting one but they allowed people to buy 2. So they were gone pretty quick
@@LostNbound yes, and as a Nemesis collector, I am interested too. That is why I find it strange none of these 3rd party/KO companies have yet to make their own recolors except for the Aoyi deluxe size KO.

He looks good sure (and I demand all light up parts be USB rechargeable now), but I’ve got serious misgivings about him... As you stated his looseness/unsecured areas are a big problem, but the biggest is simple to me. Roughly $200. For just a bit more you can get the Three 0 Prime if you don’t care about his truck mode.
This is why I always watches emgo first before buying the actual toy. Other video thas has been released make the transformation look easy, only emgo give a honest review. Now i just need the review of fire scorpion release to decide.

Man, why did they make the transformations so hard!?! It all started with the bay series of films. I transformed my Original Optimus Prime like 35 times back and forth in the time it too to transform the one in this video. LOL! Man toymakers, give us a break! LOL! :)

You know It's going to be something big and complicated when emgo doesn't upload until midnight, I live in Utah. Either that or a really involved build video. But I wouldn't expect something because it could just be a well deserved day off for emgo.

I think cybertronian tyres do not have threads because they are slicks. As on The sportcars. As I remember whole cybertron is covered with metal. So if all surfaces there are totally flat as steel plates and There is no rain there at all. This Would make sense

As I explained in the mpm-12 review, every time I transformed him something broke. This figure is just not durable.
Ive been subscribed to this guy for 6 years (every since I was 10) and this is the best video yet.
I just came from the MPM BB movie Optimus review, and...poor Freedom Leader. His awesome paintwork just wasn't enough...
Treadless tires make sense for cybertron since their planet doesnt seem to have any water on it. Slick tires have more traction but will slide on wet ground which is why nascar uses them.

I hope that Prime from ToyLab would be a reply of the Freedom Leader, but with a Matrix of Leadership.
It's worth mentioning that the Studio Series 38 Optimus Prime transforms into a Marmon HDT AC 86 but this toy (and the original on-screen and G1 versions) transforms into a Freightliner FLA 96.

I can't stop the amazement from this figure, it's literally like Optimus himself was pulled from the film, shrunken down to 9 - 13 inches (not sure how tall this is,) and is just a figure. I still can't believe it .all the weathering, and detials. it looks like a slightly wider version of the threea dlx, but can transform. I am still in disbelief this exists. I love you TW

I used to love when You couldn't tell that there was a robot in the car and now we have these toys that you can 100 tell are robots and there so easy it's sad but this is something I like shame it's third party

This looks like they looked at the DLX optimus prime and made it their goal to make it transform while still having the amazing detail. They did such an amazing job

@@robertfang8437 that sound means the joint is too tight. The joints are usually bolted in with metal which far outlasts the plastic it's holding onto, so few more squeaks and you're looking at major scratches and plastic wearing 😬
