I love every video you have been posting about how to run emulators to the max! Others have done it, but when YOU do it, I feel instantly relaxed because you have such a clear way of expression that is easily understood. Keep them coming, you have a new subscriber good sir. Stay healthy
@@ETAPRIME I know you are busy so feel free to not answer my following questions. How do you find the time to film, edit and upload videos constantly? This emulator is amazing, I’m just glad some of those old titles has ad hoc for multiplayer. It keeps the psp alive by using this emulator and like I mention you can find people and play online using the default ad hoc sever in this emulator.
These recent tutorial videos on best setups for each emulator have really helped bring my BigBox experience to the next level. I really appreciate the content!
PPSSPP on the Nvidia Shield TV Pro is my best working emulator, its had the least crashes and issues then every other emulator iv used on it. Its worth the $200 alone just for PPSSPP, LOVE IT! Great video also 🤘🏼
thank you so much dude! i'm usually clueless when it comes to graphics setup, so your video was super helpful. i can't wait to play the older persona games in hd, hope this works for me.
Great video! 👍 I suggest after people get used to this officialy released build, try developer builds. They normally improve performance and give more features. But.......with them being unofficial builds, they can have some bugs too.
Dude thank you so much my game was running so bad but now its really smooth i taught it was because of my pc but it was because of the settings. Subscribed For Sure
Love your content! Upscaling is what is done stretching 240p to fill the 4k screen in the beginning of the video, "uprender" is done when increasing the rendered resolution in the end, making it 1:1, not to be confused with upscaling. One day, one day...
There's no such thing as "uprender", it's only "render". You can however, "upscale the render resolution" which sounds better and is technically correct.
@@GoldSrc_ yes, you see my quotes I presume? Obviously mening render resolution. And no, when the scale is larger or equal to the display area it's no longer upscaling, it's 1:1. It's hard to dispute.
Would love to see more guides for best play experience. On each emulator. Retroarch. Batocera. Independent systems on windows 10. Etc Nothing else. Just guides to getting them running well. And what your preferred setup is. Be nice to have 1 front end for all systems and have them all running well. Still struggle with sega saturn, dreamcast, Gamecube. Ps2. Etc.
This video was very useful but there are certain things that the android version dont have but did most of what I could and it works better thanks ETA PRIME!
i play on an tab s6 at x3 with no frameskip, on even the most demanding games. im not complaining. I was so happy to finally have a device that let me play Final Fantasy Type O at x3 and full speed.
Awesome videos ETA! I hope to soon have my LaunchBox set up and loaded with games so I can try this 4k stuff out. Left a post on this video on your facebook that I hope you see...Controller is giving me fits LOL!
I'm from Brazil, my english is very far from perfection, but is curious how i undestand everything you said. Your pronunciation is very easy to undestand congrats
8:13 Don’t bother setting a number, just use auto (1:1) pretty sure this automatically sets the resolution to whatever your display is, so it can be exactly 4k or 1080
I have noticed that certain games misbehave visually, when you up the resolution too much. A for instance is Call of Duty: Roads to Victory. It gets these weird vertical lines going the whole of the display. Fun game by the way. One of those "Here's some clever control options to get around the lack of a second analog stick!" kinds of games.
You say at the beginning that there is no reason to upscale to 4k when you are playing on a 1080p screen. Thats false, upscaling past your display resolution works like supersampling antialiasing, it makes everything soooo much clearer. Plus, i can upscale to 4k with just a GTX 960, its really easy to upscale using PPSSPP.
I hoped you'd also talk about that some games require the texture filtering to be set at nearest neighbor otherwise there will be weird vertical lines and video glitches. And also 2D games don't realy benefit from increased internal resolution, they just need the nearest neighbor texture filtering to be turned on to look awesome. But as far for the screen scaling filter option, till this day I don't know what it's for but there isn't realy any significant visual difference when changing it to nearest. It's just the texture filtering option that effects.
At 6:23 I see that you have the "Device" category under "Backend". I don't have that. Are you using the Gold version? If not, how did you get the Device category to appear? TIA. Another great video as usual.
You talk about increasing the resolution, but you failed to mention that you're only changing the INTERNAL resolution. PPSSPP doesn't actually open a screen of that size. It opens a screen at whatever resolution your desktop is set to and then scales the game image to fit, stretching or compressing it as needed. As for the installation, I'd kind of shocked that you described how to download the zipped version and use it rather than just telling people to download the installer. That's what I always do, but most average users today don't know how to do that. My system is fairly old, in fact it's considered ancient by most standards, being only a 2.4Ghz Core-2-Duo with a GT430 video card, but I can run most games at 2x or even 4x and still get full speed, even using OpenGL. I have encountered some games that need different setting though, and one of the nice things is that you can save game-specific settings for each one. Some games and their fixes (at least what worked for me); Both Pursuit Force games - Set Spline quality to Medium. Setting it to low causes the car to partially disappear into the road at times. Death Jr. II - Check Disable Slower Effects. Test Drive Unlimited - Use DirectX. OpenGL runs ridiculously slow.

I play with 5X in my phone with contoller and if I want the docked experience I connect my phone to my TV . Works like a dream. To bad there are not good titles for Android, only shitty fremium pay to win
Isn't "supersampling" a thing? With regards to upscaling to 4K on a 1080p display. I recall that feature from way back. I think it was used to remove jagged lines and such, but I'm not sure it's applicable in these scenarios? I tend to upscale to the max I can, with my hardware, on my 1080p TV, just out of, eh, principle. :) I'm actually surprised how good Locoroco looks when upscaled. Not sure what kind of tech they use, polygons, sprites, but it just scales very well.
