I had a suitcase full of hot wheels and matchbox cars when I was little, and wish I still had them all, but corgi cars were always a special treat and a step above the rest
Or they find the thing in the sewer mud. Or the strange white dust and rust that's coating the thing. I wonder what that stuff is, is it like baby powder mixed with paprika or something?
This jogged my memory of having one of these......of course, it's long gone along with my Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightnings, and other Corgis I had when I was 9 -10 years old
You never cease to amaze me with the extraordinary lengths you go to to restore these lovely models. Yet another smashing example from my favourite era of toys.
as a kid i had around two or three dozen of these including this one. The old house we lived in had board floors and i lost most of them under the floor boards and into the cellar. A few years ago i was renovating my moms old house and found about 20 of them in perfect condition covered in that very fine dirt under the house.
I loved this video, that restoration made me nostalgic. As a kid I used to have a huge collection of new and old toy car models, mostly 1/76 but I also had some 1/43. From time to time I customized them with other car parts or repaired them with the help of my dad.
Uh...I remembering this car.I was begging my mother for all week that she buy me this one.Is really nice to see him again. This car still have special place in my memories. Another good job Paul :)
Haha….oh I enjoyed every minute of that restoration!!! Real cars, motorcycles, small toy cars whatever! It’s being able to restore something that was lost! That’s the whole beauty of restoration! Great Job! 😉
I found that lightly running the flame from a lighter not only helps restore the colour of the tyres on the models but also the tread patterns seem to come back through and takes the rough bits off. Give it a try 👍
Love how relaxing your videos are very cool and everything that you have restored has turned into a new one you are really good job and nice video enjoy it
again, another meticulously restore diecast with all steps and process shown- you do such awesome restorations....another fine video ! I think the value goes way up on these restored vehicles.👍
Oooo, you and that knife. If you were my boy I'm not Sure I could leave you unsupervised! Seriously though, great job. Super impressed with the repair to the louvred engine cover. Sub'd and shared.

Trzymaj się zdrowo i kontynuuj dobrą robotę.👍🏼😁 Pozdrowienia z Cuxhaven, Paul 😎🏁👍🏼🇵🇱✌🏼🇩🇪👍🏼🏁🤠 Is there actually a device that you don't have? I don't think it's a spot welder for plastics 😁 Another first class restoration, mate. Thanks for sharing and a great start to the weekend. Stay healthy and keep up the good work 👍🏼😁 Greetings from Cuxhaven, Paul 😎🏁👍🏼🇵🇱✌🏼🇩🇪👍🏼🏁🤠 Gibt es eigentlich ein Gerät daß du nicht hast?
The 917 was NEVER a typical racing car. The long tail version your model is of was clocked at 248 mph on the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans in 1970. It was so successful it was banned in 1973.
Ever considered taking a sheet of plywood, mapping out a town to display some of your cars. When I was 8 or 9 I did that in the woods near my house. Using shoe boxes for buildings. Never even considered keeping the cars in their original boxes. Did have the Hot Wheels carrying cases though. Great video. New Sub.
Thanks Paul for the vid' that 917 in real life is sick and this toy reminds me of the blue with orange Gulf car when it won races' back in the day Stay safe :))
I had a suitcase full of hot wheels and matchbox cars when I was little, and wish I still had them all, but corgi cars were always a special treat and a step above the rest
So tired of the pages where they damage the model first, then restore it. This one looks authentically aged. Great job.
Or they find the thing in the sewer mud. Or the strange white dust and rust that's coating the thing. I wonder what that stuff is, is it like baby powder mixed with paprika or something?
Thank you very much
And then you create the box...genius. Astonishing and utterly absorbing to watch. Thanks so much for sharing your skills and creativity.
Thanks so much 😊
Like the Metallic Red Paul.

Very well done. I've never seen someone go as far as making a box for the finished item.

It bugs me that after allll that tedious hard work in the end the 3 sits higher on one side than the other….
But still looks awesome!
I'm guessing, that you are doing pretty well in the IQ department..
@@CONEHEADDK Just an observation , no need to get emotional .
@@VIKTOR-ck3dx I hope, you didn't then. I sure didn't. But perhaps you think, I was being ironic - I wasn't.
