Brittle bolt heads due to poor heat treatment, soft locking lugs due to bad steel and the serrated design led to stuck bolt handles ect. There were just too many problems that kept popping up that by the time they had been fixed the troops hated the thing and would ditch it for a SMLE the first chance they got.

They where not being recognized as issues that developed because of their service. So they weren't getting the benefits they should have. My brother served in the Marines along with a couple of his friends. They got stories from experience and from others on the bases they served with about a lot if really poorly made and maintained housing. Like infested with black mold kind of situations. Don't think just because the US spends the biggest portion of their GDP then any other nation, doesn't mean it takes care of the people working for it.

Just checked the news on that. It’s WAY more than 2 billion, 8.1 billion over 5 years and 73 billion over the next 20. Granted this is 1.76% of NATO’s recommendations but it’s the closest we’ve been to 2% in a long while and the first decision by Trudeau I’ve agreed with in a while

@@Sturm01 The Ross was an excellent marksman rifle. The problem was poor ammunition quality, tight tolerances (so it didn't handle mud well), and soldiers without the proper cleaning/field stripping training.

Brittle bolt heads due to poor heat treatment, soft locking lugs due to bad steel and the serrated design led to stuck bolt handles ect. There were just too many problems that kept popping up that by the time they had been fixed the troops hated the thing and would ditch it for a SMLE the first chance they got.

After years of the budget being gutted and hang up like a dried out fish. Some veterans not getting their promised benefits and subpar to almost shit like housing for anyone in the military really. Along with equipment shortages, inadequate supply among other things. The increase in the defense budget sounds like good news, to relieve some pressure. As it would cover some of those problems.
Source: I'm Canadian that has friends who are former members of the military. The complaints I've heard is shocking. (Those are just the few problems)

They where not being recognized as issues that developed because of their service. So they weren't getting the benefits they should have.
My brother served in the Marines along with a couple of his friends. They got stories from experience and from others on the bases they served with about a lot if really poorly made and maintained housing. Like infested with black mold kind of situations.
