We are freezing in Akron, Ohio, USA…. 10^F with a strong wind, but sun peeking through! January is the worst month the NE of our country goes through, keeping chickens warm enough to still lay eggs, pet Canada goose usually lays her eggs at this time, and 5 dogs and a cat have their winter home in a vinyl -wrapped porch. Can hardly wait until April!
A real metal garden rake would have made spreading both soil and concrete so much easier!
A hoe is for removing short weeds, or cutting through dirt to make a ditch, etc. Consider a garden rake for your tool box of items for future building projects. You sure could help all these young Vietnamese orphan girls picking up abandoned babies along the roadside! But they are skilled and know basic child care. They need a mentor and tools to rebuild their life.

Skiing ⛷️ for kids if dressed in 5 layers of clothing, hat, hood, scarf, goggles, and insulated leather mittens, and 2 pairs of socks, alpaca and wool.
Great job of planing and smoothing wall boards… messy jobs better done outside, and less chance I’d scratching new ceramic floor tiles. Use wood shavings as chicken bedding in their coop, so they can nest easier, and eggs stay cleaner. Remove when soiled and add to garden rows for natural fertilizer!
So happy to watch Phuong using tools in new ways to finish her new wood cabin/house. Or a better word would be Chalet, like the Swiss build on mountain sides in the Alps!
