Stop being tossers, some people live in the middle of nowhere(Scottish Islands) and this is a very useful channel for us DIY'ers. It's a how to videos. Keep up the good work mate.
@@hamwoollard2651 yes mate, I’ve got some of those and this is the only way I clean them, wrap them in cling film once done using though as it doesn’t work when they go hard. Cheers
To be honest it's not something we do all the time. But there are occasions where this process is necessary and with all what is going on with delivery and materials at the moment, you may need this tip. Thanks
If you can't afford to chuck away a foam roller sleeve you need to up your prices. Who's got time to do this really? 20mins work for 50p saving? Make more begging on the streets 😂
@@stevewootton760 the planet is not throwaways.. and trust me there will come a day where you will need to do this, this works with all oil rollers not just small sponge rollers... I think you have missed the whole point of the video...
@@PaintingandDecorating I’ve never cleaned an oil roller cost more in white spirit and time white sprit will end up down the sink in drain more damage than a rock hard roller in the ground
He’s showing how to clean them if you wanted to, he’s not saying to clean every foam roller you have you bellend. Not everyone wants to lob rollers out and not everyone can afford to if they’re starting out or diyers. Personally I don’t use them and would lob it but that’s beside the point, it’s just a how to video
Do people actually attempt to clean rollers with oil based paints on them after you've been painting all day. Who could be botherd.
I love you. Your my kinda person when it comes to cleaning and making the most of what you have.
Those things start shedding bits of foam before I've done using them usually so they're normally fit for the bin anyway. Good tip though.
Sponge rollers don’t mate, only Ines with fibres
Ngl, I loved the entire segment where it was just the roller sloshing in the spirits.
I use a spinner attached to an old drill for both brushes and rollers, so much easier.
great tip. do you reuse the spirit you filled back in the bottle?
We do collect old spirit and reuse for cleaning things. thanks

Thank you plenty more helpful tips and great videos to come.
Keep up the good work ! Top videos 👍
Thank you
Great tip. Do you do a video on how to do the same with brushes?
Thank you. Yes we have a video on cleaning brushes.
That’s going in t bin. I’m not spending 15 minutes doing that any more though if they’re the good harder ones I might be tempted..
Lost cause to be honest just bin it
People are forgetting this works with more expensive flock/mohair rollers.
I've just ordered some purdy parrot roller, I believe they're mohair? Is it really ok to do this to them?
