- Hello everyone. This is a trending debate in cyber security. You need to be familiar with linux but which one? There are tons in the market, some of the best being Kali specifically for our purpose, but is it really worth to use now? Why would anyone not work with Ubuntu? The simplest and the most general purpose Linux out there? Can't you do with Ubuntu what you do with Kali? What's all this debate? Let's talk about that in this video!!

I wasn't learning things on windows just playing games. So i install Linux in my Laptop(Ubuntu) 3 years back to learn it. Now I use Fedora and it is my fav.

There is no war between Ubuntu and kali linux. One is general purpose and second is security or penetration purpose . But u can also Ubuntu as security and penetration purpose .
Ubuntu is for home usage like windows..n kali os is specially made for hacking only
kali is obviously not for beginners...but kali can make one "the beginner"...you can do pretty much everything (except gaming) on kali and use it as a Primary OS as well..it was not this much friendly though but after 2020 update Kali is wayyyy better and kind of primary focused....whatever,still it’s obviously not for casual Linux beginner but undoubtedly it’s the best distro for the beginners who wanna make the new beginning

Arch is the fastest OS in this it is because it is arch based OS which is more closest to the CPU but people don't use it because its package manager cammands are different is syntax but don't worry the are easy and much similar to Debian Linux.

i think perrot security os is more better then kali & Ubuntu for penetration testing and user-friendly

Ubuntu is based on Debian and Debian is more stable than Arch
(Edit = that's why Debian is used in servers.)

@@xd.4914 can't explain everything in a comment. as a part of community i'll never prefer the harm i.e. ubuntu. if u want somthing stable & easy go with mx linux or some other pure debian based distro, which is not held by company :)

I switched to ubuntu a month ago and used it as a daily driver. ubuntu is really best for beginners and script kiddies.
kali is for advanced users and they boot and install it in Pendrive, not in pc machine I guess.
Ubantu is good but you have to do things by command line most of the time even I cannot able connect my laravel app to db. Much more permission related things. But good for cloud computing type of things.

you can use apt and that specific bundle or types of tool that you want to install...You'll get the whole tool list on kali's website as well as instructions for installing them as bundle...but just remember you dont need all tools and this will take nearly 10gb-12gb more...besides,as ubuntu is not rolling release type distro you’ll have to update everything more likely manually to catch-up with the new security patches and defence systems...it’s a bit of pain in ubuntu if your main focus is for pentesting or something of this kind...

I think none other than windows it only focused on gaming and workplace . Linux and other os are focused on professional developer tools . I reccomend u to use windows 7 or windows 8 if u have low end pc . Because they are more stable and complete packages than windows 10 and 11. Only drawback is windows 8 and 7 cannot run AAA games because they need direct x 12 . Games before 2018 can run smoothly on win. 7 and 8
kali vs ubuntu, really?? being a Linux user these are the questions that make me laugh, u can make u distro do anything you want, if you like the look and feel of ubuntu go with it if u like kali's look and feel go with it, at the end of the day they are just distros u can make them do whatever u want

@@aimalkhan4166 for hacking, kali and for general use and for programming, ubuntu. Btw you can still code in kali. So I prefer kali. And if you can use virtual machine. Then virtual machine will be best for you.
