I simply can't tell you how much I enjoy your tutorials! Very well made, exceedingly informative and helpful, I just love them! Best part of the tutorials of course is you and your personality; you take something informative and make it truly fun to listen to and to watch. Thank you so much for everything you do on your channel, for everything I have learned, and for all the enjoyment you give!
Great video as always Mel, but I kept having flashbacks from my last dentist visit when I looked at you working on the rock face. LOL Seriously though, that was really great and a fantastic effect; well done mate!
Absolutely love your work Mel! pure artistry ;-) hoping you can clarify, when you add the texture with the rock, are you pressing the rock into the cliff face over and over again? Thank you sir, your work is inspiring.
You're crazy! All that foam and than cutting and sanding it down. :D Looks very good, but you've made better rocks. The wished effect comes out very well. :) And on a second look, it's already looking better. ;) The rocks should be standing on the small side and be coloured as red sandstone.
Man, thank you for the videos! They are exciting and informative. My Hubby and I are building the garden train terrain. A question, is there any way to insulate it to use real green vegetation ( succulents, bonsai etc) that require watering and draining, So to say is there a way to make it waterproof ( maybe there is some sort of waterproof filler that can be used for that? Also a suggestion: I guess many beginners are watching you and don’t know the name of materials, kind of paints and tools you are using. I thought it would be very useful to mention them in the description to the videos. Because when I went to the craft and hardwear stores to find the paint fo styrofoam they said all of them would melt the foam, apart from all another thins I had a difficulty to explain at the shop. Sorry for my amateurish question! Great thank you!!
Give itr a couple of coats of polyutherane varnish mate, availavle in spray cans from hardware stores and I've actually started adding that info to my vids now, only took me 4 years lol
Hey dude, I've asked you before about your polystyrene, but youtube i'snt letting me look at my old comments or replies.. I'm in the UK too, so what exact polystyrene did you use and where did you get it from? Sorry to ask again, thank you though!
This was ecoboard but it's discontinued, I'm now using .... Jackodur KF300 High strength Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) 1250mm x 600mm - Lining Boards - Roof - Insulation
Like how you said start off small, but instead I made a 4 ft long 20 in tall piece as my first attempt at this and then going "how the hell do I make this look like cliffs" lol.
