Georgia came in with the 4th ranked offense and 2nd ranked defense. I'm not sure why anyone would think Tennessee had a chance. The scary thing is this georgia team is young. Most of these kids will be back next year.

@Michael Merck They kind of came in by storm this year and after beating Bama the storyline was enticing and made people want to see them win it all.
@D M Think of the storyline, how crazy would it have been in Tennessee went on to beat Georgia and then go into the playoffs undefeated and win it all. The story and the thought of "what if" is what persuaded most people, even myself to some degree, it definitely would have been exciting to see that pan out.

UGA dominated the line of scrimmage. They practiced a "hurry up" defense to STOP the Vols' "hurry up offense." Great coaching and scheming by UGA. GO DAWGS!

Ladd McConkey is a great player. I played against him throughout high school, and you could always tell there was something special about the kid. As only a three star, Kirby went to his high school to watch him play basketball and then offered him. He also was a Quarterback his senior year. He did everything. He was the kick returner, punt returner, a wr, a qb, corner, safety, you name it, he was doing it. Great athletic kid! He was also looking for an offer from Tennessee bc his family is all Tennessee fans, but they told him he was too small.
Like a Hines Ward, a rare breed.
They said the same thing about Stetson to he was to small yea right it’s not how big the dawg is it’s how big the heart in the dawg is they proved that for sure!!!! Who looked like the candidate for the Heisman in that game I wonder it couldn’t be the little guy could it heh heh heh!!!! Go dawgs

Nice analysis Christian. You called the game without bias, and you gave credit where credit is due, mainly realizing the total quarterback performance of Stetson Bennett. It was clear that after reaching 27 points Kirby changed to a more conservative game plan. Georgia could easily have scored 50 points in this game if Kirby had turned the Dawgs loose. Stetson Bennett deserves to be at the top of the Heisman list.
The rain was so bad. No point in throwing a wet ball down the field. Well coached game by kirby

I was at the game and one thing not shown in the highlights was just how loud the stadium was and the false starts it caused. I think it was 7 false starts in total including a back to back

Georgia's defense took UT's offense completely out of rhythm and crushed their game plan. Great defensive strategy by UGA...keeping the receivers in front of them with 2 safeties over the top and great pressure on Hooker. The score could of been much worse. All this being said....Tennessee deserves a spot in the CFP.
I agree, Tennessee definitely deserves a spot in the CFP. Also that pressure Georgia was able to put on Hooker will be key to them being national champions. That was a great defensive performance by the bulldogs.

I'm an Alabama fan. I don't see anyone with a defense that's close to Georgia. Kirby Smart is a great coach. I miss him at Bama. Looks like Georgia is in the run for some championships for many years. I can't complain we had a good run. At least the championships will stay in the SEC.

I tried to tell people we were going to embarrass Tennessee because the teams they’ve played didn’t play no DEFENSE….Tennessee vs. Alabama 52-49….Tennessee vs. Kentucky 44-6…Actually we really should’ve beat them 36-9, we were driving our opening drive and fumbled and then they took that SAFETY from us and we would’ve gotten the ball with all the MOMENTUM….Good shit bruh…#DAWGNATION #SEC #CHAMPS #WEHERE

Funny how you said it looks like an old school Alabama defense. That might be because Kirby was their defensive coordinator and maybe their success on defense was solely because of him. They haven’t been looking so hot on defense since he left.

is not the same being ranked number one that staying number one. Everyone is coming for your head with their best game plan and players going all out. Tennesse does not have a matching defense to help when their offense struggles. Same happened to Ohio state last year and they paid for it.

We knew they Dline as well as they Oline couldn't hang tha straight DAWGS we got in them trenches... this game coulda been even uglier had Kirby kept 1st string in. Man Jalen Carter in this game gave me my screensaver... holding Hooker in 1 arm like a child and his other hand holding up that ☝️. Lol I've watched most of the Georgia games this year I don't see anyone stopping them this year they've won the east I don't see Bama posing a problem or anyone else in the west and lol the other conferences might show up a little better than the playoffs last year but that just means it might be a decent game and whether it's a 1 loss non conference champ Tennessee or Michigan or Ohio state in the natty maybe tcu none of them in all honesty are going to be able to keep up uga dominates the line that's what they do with a lot of freshmen uga is going to be good for a while
