I made this in the same blue color crystals that you have shown in the video. It's come out very pretty. While sowing around crystals to straighten them I found out that you shouldn't pull too tight or else your piece lands up getting curved. However, I liked your pattern. It's lovely. Thank u Gina

Gina,I LOVE these earrings! I made a pair last night using 4mm Chinese bicone crystals and they turned out really good! I've been designing jewelry for years, but the majority of my designs were wireworked pieces, I never had the patience for beaded items. Now that I'm retired I'm trying new things and making items for ME! And I just love these sparkly beauties! I'd love to post a picture but I don't know where to put it. Thanks for creating such great tutorials and sharing your gorgeous designs!

Well I made it. The first one had to be torn out because of confusion half way through. The second try was completed, but I goofed it and it formed an elongated bowl shape. My husband loved it and kept raving about it. My sister said she really loved it an begged me to make some for her. So I took a second look and decided the goof up actually enhanced the design. So I told her that when I do the second earring, if I could duplicate my mistake, she would get a pair. Well I duplicated the mistake and have a pair. Now I'm making a pair for my sister.
LOL, I have made entire designs based on goof ups, I love it!

I hope size does not matter too much. I decided to launch my beading hobby by using this as a first project. I only have silver lined seed beads and white thread to use, but figure that is good enough to practice with. Then I can order beads of my choice.
I have been house bound for a number of years, and decided this is a perfect pass time for me.

another beautiful project wish i would have used a wire guardian instead of this earwire,thank you your so awesome and you have so much patients
and of course you can use a wire guardian. I use them sometimes, but, I find with some earring designs they spin and the earrings turn.

Hello Gina I just finished a version of your Lucky Diamond design. I made two and stitched them together with a right angle weave.I used 3mm black bicones and filled it with crystal rondelles. I think it will be a nice pendant. I put a picture on your facebook page under a photo of the LD earring design. Thank you -Thomas

These are beautiful, and the video is very clear and easy to follow. I have one question .. why do you do two rows of four units, instead of just one and then decreasing to three units? I think I'm going to try it that way and see if the diamond is more "pointy" on the sides.
Its just the way I designed it, I wanted it larger. Go ahead and try it. You just never know until you do. Have fun!
this is very beatiful i want to learn more but i have a 10 month old daughter so this project will have to waid and can you use plastic beads if you don't have these beads

These are the prettiest ones I have seen, ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE!!! ...I am gonna make a few different colors!! ...Have you ever used any size larger than these and if so what is the biggest size? I love mine bold because my hair is thick and long but don't want to look funny either! ....BEAUTIFUL PIECES!! ..SUBSCRIBED and looking forward to a lot of your work!!
I haven't tried anything bigger than 4mm, but I guess 6mm will work. The problem I'd thread shows with bigger beads, but you can try incorporating seed beads between the Beas to help cover the thread. But, seed beads will make the circles even larger.

I didn't even think about the thread but you are most likely right but also an awesome idea to put seed beads in between and that may even work with the 4 mm to get it up to a size bigger but not as big as it would go with the 6mm!..Perfect!! I am so gonna try both ways, but they are so PERFECT the way they are!! Thank you again!!

Gina, love your videos. But, I've made two pairs of these earrings, and both came out a bit curved. Is that part of the design, or am I pulling the thread too tightly?
Hi, Because you add 5 beads to the very last unit instead of six,when you sew around the piece in the very last step, if you pull really tight it could distort. Make sure to pull and straighten your piece as you sew around adding your two last beads and pulling the existing beads together. Also some beads are more faceted than others and that can cause issues. But I made 6 earrings and they did not curl. So, try again with a little less tension. Good luck and have fun!

Gina I am not criticizing your video. When you explain a step it is very clear however it is hard for me to turn it around in my mind. I know that they are a lot of work and a lot of thought goes into them. Please do not be offended by my comments. I was just sharing my thoughts with you in case you might some suggestions on what might help me.

Dear Chocolate Diva. One thing helps me on some videos is to watch it fully through (maybe more than once) and it will start to gel for you. Especially if you are a new beader as I am. I have made several of Gina's projects now. Hers I can follow with the greatest of ease. But on some of the others if I just watch a time or two it clicks. Hope this helps you dear.

Try them with a bigger bead, maybe 5mm bicones. It's hard to say, you may have to take breaks, but try, why not. I have arthritis in my right hand too. I have had to slow down, takes me longer to make a piece, but I can still do it at least. Hopefully, you can too. It all depends on how bad your arthritis is. Good luck, I feel for you😫

Perhaps, if you use very fine beading wire, or you can try monofilament ( fishing wire.) You can try 10lb Fireline too.
Yes. I started using fishing string.. it works well, if I can just keep it from getting tangled.. Love these.. I have to order more beads cause you get 100 bicone at a time. I want to make them for Xmas. It's taking me longer than expected but I really want to learn theses. Thank goodness for the pause button.. LOL.. But I'll get it. Thanks again. Blessing.
Yes, you will! Just keep at it. The pattern will stick in your head soon and you won't need the pause button, or the video at all!
I have a question for you have you ever made the xmas tree earrings using these types of beads I am still making my one earring, which I have broken or lost needles. The flexible ones are terrible to work with.. I even tried to make needles but that was a mess. So Joanne fabrics here I come to buy more/ LOL
No I haven't made Xmas trees , but it's a good idea! I try to design some. Yeah beading needles are rather important to have!
I don't know if you said exactly which beads you used for the clear 4mm rounds. Are they Swarovski Clear AB or something, do you remember?
They are just clear 4mm round crystals not sure if they were Swarovski, Czech or Chinese but all would work and be just as pretty.

No Debbie, this is a single hole project. Unless you do some redesigning it won't work.
