      Yeah, tetras are really cool. I've seen a lot of them in Florida, but not caught many. They do not like to bite.

    Is this south Florida?? I need to get into the microfishing thing...

      It's actually central Florida. If you draw a line from Clearwater to Orlando to New Smyrna, pretty much everything below that line will have invasives/exotics. And some places north, like Gainesville. When you get to south Florida, you've got great exotics micro-fishing *and* great fishing for macro exotic species that get over 20 inches long, like Peacock Bass Clown Knifefish, Pacu, etc.
