Amazeballs! I really like this version on several levels. I personally feel the original is mildly depressing due to the tempo and placement in the anime series. Meanwhile, even with the same lyrics, the tone feels less melancholy in this cover version - again, likely tempo but also overall mix/feel as it closer aligns with the songs from the game that I tend to listen to more (i.e. the Samurai tracks). As Johnny puts it, "as long as it feels good," and this feels good to listen to.
