Great video guys. I own a E87 and I bought a Boston Acoustic component speakers to replace the front speakers and I really want to replace it by my self. Now with this tutorial I can.

Very helpful video, aside from one bit :
When replacing the door handle trim - start at the TOP! If you do it the way shown in this video (clipping the bottom edge in first) some of the clips can (and almost certainly will) break off very easily, leaving the handle permanently loose (ask me how I know this)
There is a notch to help remove it from the bottom edge first. You simply reassemble in reverse order...
It then snaps straight in with ease. Whereas if you start at the bottom edge, the clips on the sides are being forced at totally the wrong angle.
It should be a massive clue that he says he has done plenty of these - and then still struggles for ages to get it clipped in.. Unfortunately I did not use common sense, or realise the significance of this glaringly obvious clue. Instead I followed this video.

@rhys585 Hi sorry for the laaate reply; You don't need to worry too much about the rattles and squeeks, just be careful and replace any clips or so forth that might get damaged (unlikely, but . . .). Rattles and squeeks are more of a function of time and weather shrinking and changing the plastics/leather/glue. You're car is still nice and tight and should be for a while.
I own a e82. Can I install these with the base audio and just use the tweeters in the front?

Is this the same as in the e87
2010 ?
The E87 is on our short list to review but haven't gotten there yet. Many parts may be the same but I wouldn't assume it's exactly the same, no.
