As everything in the Bible it represents a deeper meaning. I use if sins had a smell to it, what smell would you be. There was a time when the LDS Church opened certain church rights to black people. Yes Are members discouraged from questioning decisions made by leaders? *The Validity Of Joseph Smith As A Prophet*
The way Christians can determine who is a prophet of God is through 2 teachings that a can be found in the Book of Deuteronomy.
”If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.“ - *Deuteronomy 13:1-5 KJV*
”And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.“ -*Deuteronomy 18:21-22 KJV*
These tests essentially state that if a self-proclaimed prophet leads you astray from Yahweh and biblical teachings and/or they make prophecies that do not come to pass, they are not a prophet nor a child of God. It goes as far to say that they should be put to death during that time.
“We will never get a man into space. This earth is man’s sphere and it was never intended that he should get away from it.” - Joseph Fielding Smith
In 1892 an article appeared in the “Young Women’s Journal” (an official church magazine) Vol. 3 pp. 263, 264. It’s author, Oliver B. Huntington wrote: “Nearly all the great discoveries of men in the last half century have, in one way or another, either directly or indirectly, contributed to prove Joseph Smith to be a Prophet. As far back as 1837, I know that he said the moon was inhabited by men and women the same as the earth, and that they lived to a greater age than we do - that they lived generally to near the age of one-thousand years. He described the men as averaging near six feet in height and dressing quite uniformly in something near the Quaker style.”
Oliver goes on to say, “In my Patriarchal blessing, given by the father of Joseph the Prophet, in Kirtland, 1837, I was told that I would preach the gospel to the inhabitants upon the islands of the sea, and - to the inhabitants of the moon, even the planet you can now behold with your eyes.”
Then we have this statement by Brigham Young that he preached over the pulpit as a prophet of God: “Who can tell us of the inhabitants of this little planet that shines of an evening, called the moon? When we view its face, we may see what is termed ‘the man in the moon,’ and what some philosophers declare are the shadows of mountains. But these sayings are very vague, amount to nothing; and when you inquire about the inhabitants of that sphere you find that most learned are as ignorant in regard to them as the most ignorant of their fellows. So, it is with regard to the inhabitants of the sun. Do you think it is inhabited? I rather think it is. Do you think there is life there? No question of it; it was not made in vain.”
Mormons will say, well, these are only opinions. But if you read those quotes in full context, you can see they are not just opinions. Brigham and others used it to teach principles of the Mormon gospel.
Also, according to Brigham Young in Journal of Discourses, vol. 13 p. 95, he said: “I have never yet preached a sermon and sent it out to the children of men, that they may not call Scripture.”
Smith and Young are not prophets. They are idolaters and liars. I pray you do further research in your own beliefs and prophets. There are far more like these Lori. ✝️❤️

DID THEY GO NORTH? what happened to them???

The first girl only said that this person said something racist. I’ve been told that the belief in freedom of speech is a racist white mans concept. What did this person say? I never went to college but I certainly understand that I can’t take what a single person says at face value, I need to know what the person said.
Show me where someone said belief in freedom of speech is a “racists white mans concept”
Not another triggered wyt person

You clearly don’t know the definition of a cult😂
I guess the Catholic Church is a cult too?😂
I know exactly what talk you’re referring to. Explain to me what was racist said? I listened to it, and it seems like people are being offended over something that was not racist.
Elder Holland speaks the truth, and the truth hurts. Even still, was not racist.
I'm pretty sure it was Brad Wilcoxes talk. Hollands the favorite and I say that as someone that might be leaving the church.
I'm interested to know what she thinks was racist
Sorry sweet heart sometimes people are actually drunk they shouldn’t be but they are
