Helder (I'm a BIG fan) I often use Bebop 2 with flypad and xiaomi WiFi extender, I've had over 1000+ metres!!! when in sport mode put banked turn " on " and add a few flips, makes awesome material , not too far off a racing drone sort of feel! ;)
Wow I'm amazed how far you got just with the phone and fly pad. Do you get the same distance just using your phone without fly pad. What model phone you using thanks
Hello. Do you think is possible to improve the range of the Disco connecting it to the Flypad through a WiFi repeater, without the limited Skycontroller?
Greetings and thank you for your most insightful and helpful videos. With continuing discussion about range, perhaps you can comment about why no one seems to be experimenting (at least what I've found) with using actual video transmitters and receivers. Don't they transmit their signal significantly farther than WiFi? As I write my question I understand that WiFi is used by manufacturers because no FCC licensing is required here in the USA, while using video does require a Ham radio license. But so many seem to be concerned about getting more range (WiFi amplifier on the transmitter?) from WiFi when I wonder if it would just be easier to get the necessary licensing and go with video transmission? Perhaps I'm wrong about that because there are factors involved (Other than licensing) of which I'm unaware as i write this. Please enlighten those of us who have been wondering... Many thanks for your fine and instructive videos.
Good video Helder 👍. I love the flypad, is small and perfect for plane travel! With my OnePlus 5, the rang is 300-400 m with no wifi signals around. It's correct i think. I have a skycontroller 1, it's a good controller but too Big. There is no problems with the follow me mode and the flypad ? I have never tested.
This would make sense.. Although it connects with Bluetooth, there is actually a WiFi chip inside the flypad. The drone uses that, instead of the phone, which is why range is slightly further than phone WiFi..
As an addition to my comment below, I note that many fixed wing FPV pilots are using actual video transmitters and receivers rather than WiFi. Would it be that difficult (or impossible?) to tap into the video signal inside the Disco or Bebop and route it to a transmitter? As you probably know, many are quite small and transmit a strong signal. I have asked this question of some other Drone experts but they suggested that I ask you.

Are you finding the power alot better then the BB2? Im not convinced. I wish they would implement 1080 at 60 frames then it would be broadcast quality. Just got my Disco. Its a real shame they are pulling out of fixed wing for Hobbyist. Hope dont pull out of hobby market all together. Am going to try get 2x more discos while only AU$400. So can us arduplane on one with ANDRUAV so can fly for 1.5 hours long range. Great video. I use the same thing when just flying backyard but hopeless for real flight, but not the parrot one. Im sure its just one thats been branded parrot. Fun for short range. Still love your video with parrot equipment.

Great test, but you needed to check your instruments and controls before committing you and your aircraft to actual flight. Imperative steps taken by all living Pilots. Also, you should work more on Post production. Surely your audience only needs the "Meat". You can always add "outtakes" at the end of the video.
@@Helderhugo Maybe, but the video was extremely helpful, in spite. And, as I too end up having demands from the BeBop and FlyPad before some flights, I will only start the flight after that battery is replaced. Do keep up the great work and I'll look forward to more videos.

Alternatively, if your goal is to provide long versions, Open with maybe something like, "I'll be starting with the "Meat" first, and offer additional info at the later part of this Video, so please stick around, if you can." I would be curious if your "Comments" grow, as well.
Bought the bebop 2 power and 10 days after having it i was midflight and a motor stalled for no reason and fell out of the sky. Sent it back, bought a spark fly more and never looked back. So disappointed in parrot.

I trie the Flypad with the Xiaomi mi onestick Repeater. I like the Quality of the Pad nd the Range of the Set goes over 500 Meter s!

I have that problem too much it means that one of the blade or the motor cage is bent due to a crash it takes me a while ago to figer that out
