For me what is impressive with Sarri tactics is that it is not focused around Hazard or Morata to come up with superhuman solo efforts, but good teamwork, passing and movement. Kante and Jorginho are the new stars of Chelsea and look irreplaceable in Sarri future plans.

1 year later.. So much has changed.
Sarri has the aroma of Italian football and we all love that real football..
definitely room for improvement. Keep in mind that when pep came to city in his first season, they finished 3rd and pep called his first season a disaster as he won no silverware. so far chelsea are 5 games 5 wins and have already beaten a top 6 side once (arsenal) even if sarri doesnt win the title in his first season, we will come top 3 and I can still see us winning maybe the fa cup or carbao cup. We will for sure win the europa league.
It will take about 2-4 months for Chelsea to get the system running at just like it did at Napoli.

I'd love to elaborate on one point, though..
"David Luiz is a liability defensively" Agreed, mate!
I would like to see him as a Destroyer alongside our Regista, Jorginho.
He can run around and make some really good passes, but Kante is just irreplaceable!
The only reason Luiz is still in the Back 4 is his ball playing ability, which Sarri admires.
However, I would love to see Sarri replace him with Azpilicueta. He is more composed, has more pace, makes no defensive errors, and has shown the world how solid he can be as a CB, when Conte deployed him in that position.
That leaves the RB spot open for Zappacosta, who is a more attacking fullback, just like Alonso. Currently, I feel our build-up from the back is lopsided, with the attacks flowing in a bit too much from the left side, just like they did at Napoli. (Also, because Kovacic is equally good at defence and also on the attack - world-class signing!)
Playing Zappacosta and Marcos Alonso as our fullbacks, and Pedro as our CF would show us a more beautiful version of SarriBall, than what we are witnessing currently!

saari should consider putting Palmieri as CF then morata can stay at the bench. otherwise i really hope this January window saari will make a good bid on a new striker as good as Drogba and Diego Costa to replace morata. then morata can happily stay at the bench forever! i didn't hate him, i just think he's the less functional in the team

When they play against City or Liverpool, CFC should play more defensively, as they used to do in the past. Italian manager are used to be good at defending. I hope Sarri is not an anomaly.

enas .kusuma you’re on your own with that thought. I’m tired of parking the bus and not being capable of competing against world class teams. Yes, our defence needs improved but we are definitely not going to adopt a defensive style again to do so.

With the kind of football Chelsea is playing, Abrahimovic would be satisfied! It is a great improvement however many things to resolve as well!!Kante is really a quick learner and a hard worker!!! He is so much confident with his new role. RLC should be given a chance at Kante's position!!! Also Barkeley seems to work hard as well. Christensen should play!! Odoi should also be given a chance!! Pedro's been offered only 1-year extension, we should go for LEON BAILEY or HUDSON ODOI should be given that real chance!!!! Kepa not tested yet but he is under pressure!!! ALONSO should keep a watch on his runs!!! He is still playing as a LWB and thus we often shift to a 3-MAN defence!!! What say? Anything more to add on??
Against City is normal that the defensive line needs to be on on their half. Otherwise Ederson could trow a longball to aguero/jesus/sane... And they wouldnt be offside, no?

We have capable players in the squad, I'm sure Sarri will figure everything out, we've improved quite a bit in the first 5 games, Liverpool will be a good test, but I can see us losing that one when our main teams meet, because Man City and Liverpool are complete teams, finished articles, ours is in transition at the moment. And major switch of system too.

For sarri to not be worried about morata says a lot as sarri knows when the transition is in full effect he'd get a lot of goals with hazard and more chances as against Bournemouth and Newcastle he didn't get chances due to how compact those teams were.

Cesc capable of a lot now that he's back, will be like a resurgence in breaking down sides, Cesc would have slapped Newcastle up for fun. Jorginho isn't as good as a passer as Cesc and will take years to even come close.
Jorginho is so pivotal to Sarriball. As the only player with prior experience playing it and with a Chelsea side that still is transitioning to the complete model.

Chelsea need good centre back
Jorginho is a good player ; but he is no Kante defensively. I think this is a problem. Also Kante is very, very good; but I see the hesitation to go for goal in this new position. Even with the ball from Luiz; he could have gone for goal, but he held the ball and waited. I think Sarri may have to teach him/allow him to be a great finisher.

Yh as good as David Luiz is on the ball he is not trusted defensively and Sarri needs to recognise that instantly coz if not den we may be conceding goal after goal and we will not win the league. This is his final year at Chelsea but I feel like the club is gonna offer him a new contract.

Chelsea was already good at playing out of the back, I don't think that's new. Compactness on high press and position game has improved for sure. Luiz's defending has to improve - I agree. Kante playing out of his normal postion did baffle me, but he's an excellent player regardless and shows he can adapt well. Strikers are doing more hold up play for Hazard in attacking 3rd, since Che don't have a player like Costa anymore. Willian and Pedro also have more attacking duties and are taking more shot instead of serving the left and right backs or feeding the striker.
