Each song from New Day is accompanied by a video filmed on location in and around NYC, painting an audio/visual history of the band and taking you on a tour of meaningful places that have gotten us each to where we are today. In the video to Arvory we take the (far rock bound) A train to the hometown of the Holcomb family, Rockaway Beach in Queens, NYC. Josh and Ben's parents have lived in Rockaway for several years and I (Josh) even got married in my parents' Rockaway home backyard four years ago! I grew up biking out to Rockaway to swim, do community activism work with my dad, have delicious tacos at Rockaway Taco, explore abandoned military beach bunkers and more than anything connect with myself. The peace and beauty of the waves and sand have always helped me recharge whenever big city life distracted me from myself. Rockaway Beach is simply my favorite place on earth and I couldn't be happier with how Chase Anderson captured its essence in this video. Ben has lived in Rockaway for the past few years as well (as he says in the video) and you can find him on the beach most days taking our family dogs on walks (well he walks, they run like crazy). Thanks for joining me for this little glimpse into my family's story!

I know have every mood of lucky chops: “these tears” and “it’s not goodbye” as slower songs, “pizza day” and “danza 2016/2014” as fun songs, and “Arvory” and “my no 1” as chill late night driving songs.
Everyone is so good at their craft, but damn if that isn’t the cleanest/milkiest/smoothest trombone playing I’ve heard in a while I don’t know what is!
this is gonna be memorable, tomorrow i will play a solo on my marching band and this year i became trumpet leader and now the lucky chops new song yesssssssss

My daughter and I go out for a drive just the two of us. Invariably we play Lucky Chops first. I can see this being the first song we play for a long time to come. Thank you for all the memories you're giving me and my 19 year old.

Very atmospheric, and I do like the bass clarinet for this piece... was that a rotary flugelhorn? Interesting bell shape. But, my favorite visuals were Nora getting her shoes wet, and the purple sousaphone. Thanks for sharing the music
