I feel like a lot of younger generation and even a lot of people my age (30) have no idea how great and how impactful Nas has been and still is. Truly a living legend. Great to see Scru reacting to more Nas. I’m sure these reactions are opening a new generation of hip hop fans to Nas and getting to see what we’ve seen from Nas for years.

Nas is the greatest to ever touch the mic untouchable aint no debate in my opinion his catalogue is unmatched. The whole album magic 3 is a masterpiece a classic. You should do the whole album for sure.

For those who missed it, the humming Nas was doing towards the end is from the movie 'Wolf of Wall Street' where Matthew McConaughey does it (as an OG stockbroker character, mentoring DiCaprio's character, the newbie at the job). So, that's the position Nas is implying with that hum.
And, of course, he's the wolf out of NYC.

Yes- Nas is a HUGE movie person. He drops a lot of movie gems. Example: "I'm like Luca Brasi, Vito's best hitman" from Come Get Me track and "Fredo" character from Office Hours track also refers back to The Godfather. "Alpha & Omega places, it's like a glitch in The Matrix" from Stillmatic Intro refers to The Matrix movie. Street Dreams video is inspired by the movie Casino w/ Robert DeNiro's character in a pink suit & car bombing. ETC...

Honestly, I caught it out of pure curiosity. You could hear the hum going somewhat off-key. Yet, it seemed familiar. So, I kept thinking, "Surely, Nas must realize he's humming off key. And, if he doesn't, a producer's of Hitboy's caliber can definitely tell."
So, it had to be intentional. Then on a couple more listens, I remembered where I'd first heard it - that was exactly how Matthew McConaughey did it.

I'm 23 years old. I have listened to and been infatuated with all of Nas' catalogue. Words can't describe how privileged I feel to be alive during this new era of Nas.
This guy is as legendary and iconic as people get. He is literally hip hop. Crazy to me that I actually get to be a part of the roll out and dropping of albums by Nasir Jones.

When I was younger, i didn't care about artists like Nas. It was all about the flashy, disrespectful, slick, high energy ones (50, Em, Luda, DMX, etc.), but after listening to songs like "Just a Moment", "Fathers with Daughters" and "Who are You?" my respect for him grew. We need more of this.
